Unfortunately I could not empathasize with any of the MLs. Kevin seems quite naive regarding relationships and extremely self harming. He appeared to be too desperate to be in love, no matter how badly he is treated. Gao on the other hand is very selfish. Being HIV positive and not communicating with the partner before moving in is, in my opinion, criminal. Then he gas lights a desperate Kevin. All in all it was a disappointment.
It's not in the manga as well, even in Makio own BL manga with Asato named In the apartment, so they probably…
Thank you for answering. Yes the clues were there but I found it very odd that there was no mention of it. Maybe they wanted to keep Makio as a mystery 🙂. It seemed to me that Makio was just going from one part-time job to another with no specific direction. Didn't go for studying or apprenticeship after graduating high school. Even the last job shown was at a convenience store. I wish there was a better explanation of this. But that's ok too 🙂. If they would have shown everything then what would we talk about. Thank you again!!
Well said. Specially the last line, Frustrating and heartbreaking drama, but it's a good one. I have finished…
Oh so true. I actually left a comment under spoiler asking about Makio's back story. This was odd for a drama which was so nuanced to not have mentioned about his background even once.
Does anyone know why there was no mention about Makio's parents? Not once in the entire series anything about his background was mentioned. That seemed very odd whereas we even got a glimpse into Asato's family. So I am wondering if I missed something. Please someone let me know if you know.
I felt so mad at how Makio was just squeezed out of his friendship and relationship with those two. However, I…

I have finished watching it couple of days ago but the characters are with me still. Every now and then I am thinking about it :).
Even though I was very upset with Eiji at first but what you said will definitely happen. He will have to meet a bad end if he doesn't come clean and accept his truth. Meiko, will probably be a single mother. I think she will be a better mother than her own but she has her issues and needs therapy. Otherwise she will keep on burdening everyone that she loves (!) with her emotional despair and clingyness. Soon enough she will burden her daughter even. Makio will probably suffer less of the three. Yes he was shown to be with a caring person, but he still will have to work through his commitment issues (as referred by Asato and also himself) to achieve some form of stability. But he is positive, open and honest. He will be alright. The drama gave me a succer punch. Got me thinking about all sorts of things. First love, sociatal bias, pressure, our desire to be loved at all cost etc. etc.
i dropped this drama weeks ago bcoz i couldn't seem to take all the pain im about to experience watching. last…
Well said. Of the three I am most angry/upset/disappointed with Eiji. He was the oldest and 25 when they decided to go for the baby. I understood that he was also bullied and was not very stern or could not put his feet down but he just gave up on himself. That's the worst. He might be happy now with the child and the so called conformity, but he is living a lie and at some point that lie will blow on his face. In ep 10 when he was crying, I felt nothing. I could not sympathise with a character who gave up on themselves. The girl, what to say. She had her own insecurities and cajoled everyone into doing what she thought was the best thing to do to keep all three of them together. There was a dialogue in ep 6, where she said, even if it's wrong let's do it (something along that line). She also knew what they were about to do was or could be wrong but again she said, there was no turning back! Why? Makki, on the other hand was wise enough to walk away but not bold enough to say no when it all started. Infact I felt his character to be going with the flow type. When Eiji said he likes him, he was like ok let's date. When Meiko proposed to have a child he was also going along with it. Yes he was young but Meiko was too. If she could be this assertive then he could too. But he is the only character among the three who was true to himself. At the end he can find happiness the way he is. The other two are bound to a life of lies and pretending. I just finished the series so my emotions are a bit over the top. I am sure I will calm down tomorrow :). What I wrote is just how I felt. But nonetheless thank you for your analysis.
Can someone tell me the age gap between In and Wang?
I think somewhere between 23 to 25. Wang is 20 (they celebrated his 20th birthday) and In is one year younger than Wang's parents. They married after graduation and had Wang, so at least they were 24/25. So the age gap would be aroud 25. I also read somewhere that In is actually 34 and portraying a character in his mid-forites. So :)

I hope he gets significant roles in long dramas, not just guest and support roles. I enjoy his acting and he has a contageous smile. All the best for future.
