Well she did release all his concubines who wanted to be released, she gave them enough money to survive on their own. She protected the woman he was trying to take home at the restaurant and while she helped him get out of the prison, it wasn't because she didn't acknowledge that he had issues, it was because at the end of the day they were family and this was her second chance with them. I'd cut her some slack. Let's not forget that he died in both lives, so I guess he got what was coming to him.
I'm not going to read any reviews because I really want to watch this in a few months (Currently on my C-Drama binge). That said, why is the rating of this show so high with so many negative reviews?
Her brother was horrific. And her repeated claims of protecting him were just stopping him from actually facing…
I think she did show a lot of compassion for his victims, specifically the maid who killed herself because of him. She constantly says that she understands he has made mistakes, but it is partly due to the way they were raised. They never had to answer for the consequences, the only reason she is changed now is because she had first-hand knowledge of what the consequences of her actions led to. She was always trying to force her father to be strict with her brother. All that aside, her brother did truly love her and they had a really good relationship as siblings, remember he constantly sent her gifts even when she was rude to him or wouldn't take his side every time he tried to do something stupid. Her behaviour was aligned with her feelings for her family, she'd already seen them die once so it hit hard after she tried to do everything right and he still ended up dying.
Z.Tao is a really good singer, but it's usually a chore watching him act. Sometimes it's the script, and sometimes it's both the script and his acting that are lacking. İ loved him in Legally Romance and have been keeping my fingers crossed for another good show of his.
I agree. DGZ actually seems to have gotten a lot better at acting in later dramas, but this was not an easy watch.…
İ watched Forever Love, they're both in it together. Surprisingly, they're both 70% better in that show. The story is good too, as far as short dramas go.
The storyline is great but the acting was cringe, all the actors were serving cringe fest throughout the drama.…
I agree. DGZ actually seems to have gotten a lot better at acting in later dramas, but this was not an easy watch. I just wanted to understand the hype behind this show and I still don't get it. Horrible ending too.
Oh that makes sense, many such cases. İ completed A Familiar Stranger today and the subs on it were horrible but the show was good overall and really short so I persevered.
