The Double. The FL is psycho in a good way. The princess in The Double is psycho in a better way.
The princess in The Double was a psycho İ sympathised with, she still had some redeemable qualities. The princess in Si Jin is someone İ wish death upon as soon as she opens her mouth, she's just pure evil for the purpose of being evil. Her character has 0 depth.

I agree with you on Waning being phenomenal. While there are other actresses who could have pulled it off as well, I disagree on WJ being subpar. You can dislike her acting, but it doesn't take away from the fact that she did brilliantly in The Double.
I've seen WRTW, and I still don't agree that she could have pulled this off.
Highly disappointed with fl’s acting. Her expressions presence n appeal everything z boring to the max. Even…
No, this was not something Lu Si could pull off. XFF is a tragically powerful character and she was played extremely well. Lu Si has a similar show LLTG and while she's a delicate actress, she really couldn't bring the strength Wu Jinyan brings to this role.
I don't understand the hate for RM. She's beautiful, has very expressive eyes. While I'm not a huge fan of her voice (Compared to her, Dong Si Yi's voice sounds way cuter) it eventually grows on you. I thought she looked beautiful in Rise of Ning, her outfits could have been designed better, but overall she looked really beautiful in the show.
Any recommendations for a show with a ML like Lu Jiaxue? Featuring a morally grey, villainous male lead who ends up with the girl, set in a historical context? While I adore the story of the main leads, I can’t help but secretly root for Lu Jiaxue.
Indeed. 😊Kill me love me, It's really worth watching.💓💥Both actors shine and the drama gives space for…
She really did, and he is so so handsome. He's exceptionally more beautiful when he smiles. I can't stop watching him, I sometimes miss dialogues because I'm busy noticing his reactions, lmao. His picture on MDL does not do him justice at all. The scene at the end when he picks up his spear and shouts for the soldiers to open the door, İ've seen it like 20 times. He seems so majestic there. 🥰🥰🥰

OMG you're right, this perspective makes these scenes even more special. And how did I not notice they didn't once say I love you, that's crazy (Not that they needed to). As much as I loved their love story, I really admired the selfless love the Prince of Xiyan had for her as well.
I'm watching İn Blossom now, and I noticed the similarity in the costume designs for LXY. The textures, embroidery and style are similar to KMLV, I'm going to check out the designer her work is so intricately beautiful. I love the fabrics she uses.
rating is so low but i actually loved it. just stop watching at ep23 on the 17:00 mark if you want a satisfying…
I think everyone should watch the show completely... the first part is more revenge the more 'Kill Me' part of the story and the second part is the 'Love Me' part of the story. İt's incomplete if you leave it halfway, and the story doesn't make sense if you don't watch it to the end. The angst is what makes the story whole, no one should hide from it.

True, that scene was really impactful. I loved how perceptive she was of everything that went around her, probably a trait she learned as an assassin. And even though she wasn't in love with him at that time, she handled the situation with such sensitivity. I also absolutely loved all her fight scenes, especially the rain scene where she's trying to buy time for the princess, that's my favourite fight scene in the show. I wish more people have the patience to watch it, it has some really good dialogue too. While I'm not a huge fan of large age-gap relationships, but the emperor and princess had a nice story too. And omg the costumes are so gorgeous, absolutely loved everything the crown prince and Xue Yi wore, along with all the costumes for each character from Xiyan was so intricate. Overall feast for the eyes...🥰
Lui Xu Yi, you are so freaking brilliant. I've loved WJY since I watched The Double, really glad I discovered LXY through this show. The last 12 episodes are like a masterclass of acting by LXY. ❤️

I totally agree with you. I see on MDL a lot of people will watch something and reject it based on what they want to read into a story instead of watching it from the writers perspective. Not everything requires a happy ending to be good, and not all stories are simplified love triangles. I loved how some of the characters were flawed even while being moral. You're right, watching this show requires patience, and acceptance of the story as how it is written and directed. Honestly, the ending didn't bother me at all, it was a logical end to the story. I dropped this show a few months ago after the first episode and recently picked it up again, really glad I completed it today.

I'm about to complete it and I honestly don't understand the 7.9 rating, I'm at episode 30. The cinematography, acting (everyone), OST, costumes and the story are really good. I love the world building and the attention to detail for each character. I didn't even completely hate the crown prince. This show should be rated much higher based on how layered the story is and how well it has been portrayed.
