Don't forget, Korea is supposedly overtly conservative, but kpop has reigned for nearly 20 years, and the little…
Hahaha... make it make sense. I mean, my heart aches for all the stars who go through tons of abuse from "fans" for dating rumours etc. So their stance on being conservative while their media is clearly not conservative is crazy. Not really complaining about the content, but I've always been confused about this.

Thanks to everyone for explaining the context behind it.

Quite easily. They looked at Japan and Thailand, and realised that there's a lot of money to be made. KBL first…
Hey, thank you so much for explaining this to me. It's so crazy how hypocritical this is, but I guess if it works for them it's okay. As long as they don't crackdown on BL creatives like China is doing currently.

Edit: Just read the rules, they're hilarious. 😂

is there a release date?
Oh got it. I have seen Word of Honor though, if I hadn't known it was based on BL I wouldn't have guessed it was a BL show. It was just basically bromance. It's possible a lot of things got lost in translation and seem more intimate in Chinese than in the English translation.

That's scary, but why do I see a lot of LGBTQ+ Donghua out there. Maybe it's a recent crackdown on this issue.

Didn't they make changes to the show because of the censorship? I thought it would eventually release there, but I hope someone from another country buys it soon.

I think there were a few clues about her feelings for him: she kept the medicine bottle he gave her for a long…
İ agree, would have been great if they had protrayed it that way. But at least she made him noodles in the end, so it was apparent that she did love him.

Can someone tell me what's written on the red paper that ZY puts in the lantern which is later on WXY's desk? ep 28 or 29.

ok, I know I am late in the game but who is the sml who is always with the fl. I started watching this in ep 17,…
I think you should start the show from ep 1, it won't make sense at all if you watch it from episode 17. that's like more than half the show. Rongzhou is her personal guard btw.

they are not related. Hua Rongzhou is just a character made by the FL.if you want to be spoiled (why is he created…
I can't believe you spoiled the whole show for them while they were just at episode 9. Like damn 🤣

You're right, Rongzhou had so much screen time and intimate scenes with her that I thought she would end up with him. But after she woke up the first time I felt like Rongzhou was a person created in her mind because she always said at the beginning of the show that no one loved her or believed in her so it was apparent that her mind created someone who was always protecting her and standing by her.

There were nuances of her falling in love with WXY. When he takes her to the tower and she gets drunk, she really doesn't want to embarrass herself in front of him and runs away. I think in her mind she always believed that WXY was in love with Mu Yao so she never paid attention to him earlier. But after she decides to divorce her husband, she realises that she doesn't actually love him. Her whole life, she's never had someone stand up for her or be on her side, so each time WXY does something for her, it's evident that she feels something but doesn't say anything. İt's in the way she always cluthes her hands around him, every time she touches the pouch with the medicine. In her heart she doesn't believe that she's right for him so she never makes her feelings known. While she does touch Rongzhou a lot, she only starts paying attention to him after her brother dies. The cheek bite scene happened before that, so I guess she just sees him as a younger brother. While she does grow closer to him later, it's more about his loyalty inspiring that love in her because her personal maid and Rongzhou are the only ones who don't betray her. She protects them both the same way.

So yeah, while the point of Rong and her having more scenes together is true, and I would have liked to see her interacting more with WXY, it's also true that her love for Rong was different from her love for WXY.

That ending has me all kinds of twisted. I honestly don't think this drama was a romance at all; not even that…
They had such few scenes together up until the mid of the show though. I didn't know who she would end up with until the last episode, so that was good.

This was surprisingly a good show. I only started watching for WXY but ZY was exceptional and the story was actually good. I loved Zhang Yi Jie, he was exceptional throughout the show. Zhao Qing seems to have improved her acting in The Double, but she was pretty bad in this one. Also, I don't know why everyone is complaining about the ending. I think it was different but not bad, İt's a refreshing concept in this genre and there were hints of it in each episode, not at all a surprise if you were paying attention.
