Thank you for this!! I'm still catching up with 2022 (and earlier) dramas myself, since there aren't many 2023 dramas that got my attention (despite already at the end of first half of the year)!

About the categories of voting list gathering very little votes vs. those gathering lots of votes, I think it has to do with MDL featuring/not featuring those lists at random days/weeks (on https://kisskh.at/list)!

Well, if I decided for Youku (dream on, lol!), I would release this one right after Hidden Love (July 11), and then release Legend of Anle after 2 weeks.
(It's 30 episodes, so if they released 2 episodes every day it would be viable, without even the two dramas overlapping!)

But this is so small(ish) so I think they could squeeze it in between if they wanted to.
Looking forward to Anle, too, of course!

That would be interesting, but I can't remember of anyone. The only one that I can remember having wuxia elements & students/school like setting is Young Blood! Do you know of others?

Youku would be fools imo if they don't release this drama right after Hidden Love ends, to ride the heat train of Chen Zhe Yuan!!

Wow, that sounds super interesting, I really hope VIKI or someone will pick it up for good English subs soon!!

About the pacing, I guess you get used to it. And they slowly explain things later, so it makes everything you may have not get because of the fast pacing make sense!
But maybe think of it as an 1 hour movie? Since ~2min x 30 episodes ~= 60 minutes.
It's like a condensed historical C-drama with no filler (with a badass FL!), but one that would probably not pass censorship if it was a full one! :D
