Wei WuXian also topped my list of my best characters in any fiction/any media/anything pretty early on as I was watching/reading!! The strangle is real, so good luck with getting out of Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed rabbit hole later on!! Oh well, at least after you finish the drama, you'll still have the novel and/or the other adaptations of this great story to enjoy, too bad for those of us that have already consumed all there is, and we can only rinse & repeat in an endless loop!! :D

FYI, all episodes of the animation Mo Dao Zu Shi are now completely subbed by GuoDongSubs, and available online. Also completely subbed & available on YouTube by the official channel, though I think the last couple of episodes are not available for everyone to watch just yet.

Okay emperors & princes, love triangle, powerful artifacts, a fairy from outer space, a half-alien half-human, a demon who is half-human half-machine??? Is this for real?? This sounds so cheesy, ridiculous, over-the-top & awesome at the same time, that I wanna watch it, lol!!
For everyone thinking about starting this drama or not, giving this drama a chance, wondering if it's really that good, etc., heed my advice and warning: Do Not Watch It! It will ruin you!! It will make any other drama you watch after this to feel bland and tasteless. The OTP will forever scar your heart, allowing no other to approach. Your life will be meaningless if you don't check out something related to the drama/novel/anime/actors every single day! You will be humming the OST in inappropriate places. It will make you sad that you're not an artist/aspiring poet/writer/philosopher/musician (well if you're not) to reflect your deep thoughts & feelings after the drama ends into your creative works. It will make your wanna read the novel, watch the animation, listen to the audio drama, be in the look out for every possible adaptation of this great story until there's nothing left to do. And then rinse & repeat! It will make your want to rewatch it again and again and again, instead of trying to watch any of the hundreds of other dramas/movies/tv shows that are patiently waiting for you to give them a chance in your list. So, you'd better not watch it. Go find something else. Give your life a chance. Watch every other drama in your list, and then, only then, come to it, at last!!! :)

Here, look.” As he spoke, he passed the sword over for Lan WangJi to see the characters on the sword. Surrounded by lines and patterns, two ancient characters were carved onto the sheath. It was “Suibian”, indeed.
For a few moments, Lan WangJi was at a loss for words.
Wei WuXian showed his consideration, “You don’t need to talk. I know that you definitely want to ask me why it’s called this name. Everyone asks if it has some special meaning to it. Actually, there’s no special meaning at all. It was just that, when Uncle Jiang gave me the sword and asked me what I wanted to call it, I came up with more than twenty names, but wasn’t satisfied with any of them. I thought that I could let Uncle Jiang give it a name, so I answered, ‘Whatever!’ But, who knew that, after the sword had been forged and taken out, these two characters were on it. Uncle Jiang said, ‘If this is the case, then why not let this sword be named Suibian?’ To be honest, this name isn’t bad either, right?”
Finally, Lan WangJi spoke through his gritted teeth, “… Ridiculous!”
Wei WuXian carried his sword on his shoulder, “You’re such a boring person. Don’t you see how fun this name is? It’s especially good at tricking serious ones like you, and it works every single time. Haha!”

I love Zhao Li Ying as well, but I feel the pairing between them would feel kind of awkward, he is (and looks) so much younger than her! But I'm still looking forward to another Xianxia adaptation, and having these two excellent actors in it tops the excitement!!
