Title The Untamed
since untamed popularity skyrocketed i see there are new watchers who bears no clue of chinese genres leading…
That's why people should learn to use punctuation, lol!
I think there's a misunderstanding in what you thought michyeonnaba meant... "Xianxia is the genre for untamed. Do bear in mind it's not one of those godly magical powers type of xianxia, there are many flaws, so pls lower your expectations and watch with an open mind."
I think the op meant The Untamed is not your typical xianxia, and:
a) people who are used to the typical "gods & demons & overpowered heroes" kind of xianxia should not judge it based on that, since the Untamed's world-building is not exactly the typical for a xianxia. In fact, world-building isn't only not developed enough (perhaps on purpose in the novel in my opinion, in order to focus elsewhere), but represented confusingly in the drama & with lots of technical flaws.
b) people who have no idea about what a wuxia/xianxia/xuanhuan is, should probably first familiarize themselves with these genres, how the world works in these kind of genres, and especially the usual tropes & conventions of the dramas/movies of this kind before judging The Untamed of being confusing or unrealistic.
In general, they should hold on, and keep watching with an open mind, because this drama is totally worth your time, patience and dedication!! (At last that's my view on the subject, plus what I think michyeonnaba meant.)

"New episode coming October 14", probably because they need to add local subs (not just English subs) for us, which they usually do on Netflix Originals... Oh, well, I guess I'll just wait for now.. :/

Adam Uni said according to some ratings that there will *quote* "probably be some sex scenes like Trapped" ....…
Well, Taiwan is the only Asian country to 100% allow same sex marriages, and even recognising said couples same rights as heterosexual couples now, since a few months ago!! Hooray for Taiwan, I hope more countries will follow their lead in the near future!!

Episode 23 is the last one made, aka season 2 episode 8.. Next season will probably be out in 2021!! :(

From ep 33 to the end, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan spend almost every moment with each other. They are practically tied…
It's chapter 43-45, it starts after the Yi City arc. Drunk Lan Zhan is my favourite Lan Zhan!!

I currently watched the first 20 episodes and I am freaking loving it so far. I didn't expect to get sucked into…
Wei WuXian also topped my list of my best characters in any fiction/any media/anything pretty early on as I was watching/reading!! The strangle is real, so good luck with getting out of Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed rabbit hole later on!! Oh well, at least after you finish the drama, you'll still have the novel and/or the other adaptations of this great story to enjoy, too bad for those of us that have already consumed all there is, and we can only rinse & repeat in an endless loop!! :D

I'm going to tell you NOT to watch this one first. As another person on this discussion board had once pointed…
It's funny that I made that comment that you mentioned with the original intention to reverse-psychology more people into watching the Untamed, but en route I realised the addiction is so real that it's a genuinely legit advice, lol!

FYI, all episodes of the animation Mo Dao Zu Shi are now completely subbed by GuoDongSubs, and available online. Also completely subbed & available on YouTube by the official channel, though I think the last couple of episodes are not available for everyone to watch just yet.
