This is a great addition to the site, definitely a step into the right direction!! Usually a drama's rating when it's still being watched (or when it hasn't finished airing yet) doesn't reflect the drama as a whole, and that's why I believe these people should just rate individual episodes instead of the actual drama. But at least this new stat will help define the rating score better!!
Maybe MXTX decided to use that date because it is related to Halloween? I don't know the reason but I wanna say…
I'm so envy of you!! Don't have any lotus here (roots, seeds, or flowers), and even sake is very rare to find... But I did drink some regular red wine (grape), and ate some figs with it (does this count? :D )!! Happy Birthday to our dear boy, may he be ever smiling like the sun with his life (Lan Zhan)!!!
Is there romance in this? Thanks in advance to whoever replies!Update: I started watching and finished episode…
It depends... Do you consider it romantic if a man cares for you, show you his love through one hundred & more quiet actions, without a word? If he looked at you as if his hearts gonna break when you're sad, and as if you're his all-needed sunshine when you're happy? Do you consider it romantic if the man always believes at you, stands there with you, protects you, even as the world condemns, hates, or tries to kill you? Do you consider it romantic if a person is shuttered with grief, frustrated with guilt of letting go of you, but never gives up on waiting for you, every day, in agony, FOR 16 long freaking YEARS, playing songs to attract your scattered soul, in vain, until you return? Do you considered it romantic if the said person & the person who finally returns have their own song together, named after them, playing it to recognise each other, and, at the end, calling each other through it, returning to each other with it?
If you answered YES in any of the above, then yes, I would say there is romance in this!! :))

It's an alternative universe, early 20th century-like setting, with cops and gangsters, but it's too early to tell anything else, or share it. I'll probably post when it's at least 30% complete!! Thank you for your interest!!

There are separate tags for The Untamed (TV) and Módào Zǔshī (novel), but many fanfics are tagged with both. Do share your fanfic here if you do write one (or pm me), I'll do the same when I finish mine!! :)

Okay, I know many of you here, like me, have "The Untamed syndrome" and can't move on or really enjoy other dramas anymore. But is there also any previously relatively avid reader, like me, that cannot move on and read other things, too, but just keeps rereading favourite scenes from the novel, or just reads Mo Dao Zu Shi fan fiction now and nothing else??? Or is it just me??
Korean broadcast update: Okay, apparently, the drama already started its broadcast on Korea, on channel ASIA UHD, on 21/10, and it will play every Monday - Thursday 2 episodes a week, with original audio and Korean subs.
I cannot find where the rumour of the extra scenes started, but there's talk of it on facebook & twitter (among other places), if anyone can find anything confirmed I'd appreciate it.
No any extra scenes yet, I think, for now, though I did manage to find someone that claims: "I will post a video IF they really released a unreleased scene were not show on tencent"
Anybody knows if the Netflix version includes some new scenes or is it the same version as in WeTV? And is the…
I think it is the exact same version. But subs are (slightly) worse in my opinion. From what I've heard from other people, it's available on Netflix Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, but I don't know about other regions. As for other versions of the drama with more scenes, stand tall and wait, because there are rumours that the version of Chen Qing Ling on air soon in Korean tv channels, will include extra scenes from the original version that they had to delete due to China's censorship!!!!
I know, and I agree! But the reason I'm so excited it's on Netflix is for all those people who don't know about The Untamed, or don't even watch Asian dramas, getting exposed to it through Netflix & discovering it!! Wouldn't it be great if the rest of the world talked about this drama, too??? :)))
now rewatching ❤️ one thing i noticed in the sub though, actual name is shown instead of its direct translation..like…
That's one little annoying thing Netflix does in all of its c-drama subs!! I'm willing to let it pass though, if the rest of the subs are okay, for the sake of the unlimited new exposure Netflix will offer our dear A-Ling..
OMG I'm so excited for this!!! I've submitted a million request already, I can't believe they'll make it happen!!…
I haven't watched it yet (just my brother), it's on my to-do list, but not a priority, because... Well, no drama is actually a priority now, still on The Untamed/Mo Dao Zu Shi syndrome, lol!! :D
The Untamed will be released on Netflix!source: https://www.gamersky.com/news/201910/1231123.shtml?tag=wap
OMG I'm so excited for this!!! I've submitted a million request already, I can't believe they'll make it happen!! Maybe now I'll manage to convince my family to watch it (my brother watched the King's Avatar when he happened upon it on Netflix even though he'd never watched an Asian drama before!), along with my rewatch :)))
