Oof, I am liking this idea too! Giving “Xiao Ge” the second chance with Li Jian Jian :)

I just finished watching this show. In the last 10 minutes or so, there is a flash forward to 20 years (from 1990 to 2010). She (Xiao Min) married Hang Hai (unfortunately you don’t see any of their romance/dating/wedding) but it seems he permanently lives in the hospital (he has ALS). His life expectancy was only around 10 years after diagnosis but he already made it to 20. She says as long as he is still alive, she is content. So I would say it is a bittersweet ending.

Thanks for pointing that out. Maybe I missed it then (or is the diagram wrong?) but why does villain also call FL’s grandfather 外公 (wai gong)? Does that mean they are cousins? Or is it because she feels that as the god-daughter to the MiL (and by extension, to the ML) she also calls him as such how ML and FL call him? That would make sense from a naming perspective but why would she feel entitled to inherit the cloth dying technique then? Sigh, so confusing

What a weird intro above and wtf was that ending? I guess it makes sense-ish given the description above but as a viewer, not pleased.

The remaining episodes have dropped, but I don’t believe they are subbed (I watch raw version). The MCs almost break up (she brings up divorcing him) but they don’t actually go through with it. Due to Qin Tian’s intervention, she begins to doubt ML’s true feelings towards her.

Also, understand that Qin Tian is coming off as an evil villain but he too was tricked in a sense (not trying to completely absolve him but he had his reasons). You will see the truth in the 2nd to last episode.

I think that is a practice in families with more than 1 child, so JX has same surname as mom, and JZ has same surname as dad. Given that there didn’t seem to be any “drama” in the drama about this, this was likely a mutually agreed decision by their parents.

It’s from the same “universe”, similar to how My Huckleberry Friends, With You, and Unrequited Love are from the same “universe”. I believe the school is what ties them the same, but the characters are all different (except when they have a crossover special episode!)

I watched this a while ago but I do remember it being quite sweet (for the younger Li and her bf). If you’re only into steamy romance, this probably isn’t the drama for you. But if you enjoy fluff (ish) and younger simpler romance, I think this one has that. Hope that helps!

I just rewatched that bit (love this show!) the general gist is that LXB is teasing XF that he likes a girl and already knows that it is An Lan. XLB also says he did some investigation in his present timeline and finds out An Lan is the ES Game Competition Operating Director, as well as she is still single. XF is perplexed because he doesn’t think that makes sense: if she is still single (and has been single for 10 years), then what happened to himself? LXB is also trying to find out information about present-timeline XF and can’t find a single trace.

I don’t understand how they (the screenwriters) are going to resolve the misunderstandings in only 4 more episodes to go…but I am only here for the ML. This weird sister who seems to be replacing her brother’s affection for the ML storyline is taking up way too many episodes.

No, there was a scene earlier of RTZ's parents when they were young.. and young RXZ (the dad) was hot! I am curious who he is as well because unfortunately, he did not get a callout in the ending credits (so he must be hidden in the "group" actors section)
