If you’re referring to around 35 minute mark, it is called 一直有你 (Always Have You) and I agree.. it is somebody else who sings it on the soundtrack version but the one who is singing this one is the original composer of the song, Du Zhi Wen (都智文). Here is a YT link:

Just finished. He ends up with Wen Wen (the other old b**** is his former GF) but of course, there’s the annoying breakup in between which lasted way too long. I wish we got to see Yuan Wei and Wu Fang get some sort of retribution because they were such conniving b**** (Yuan Wei’s obsession caused him to misunderstand Wen Wen, and Wu Fang’s weird unrequited love caused Fang Li’s wife’s accident)

HE- They break up around 15 min before the end, but they come back together at the very end.

Yes, many annoying moments (like seriously WTF with Li Yi Jin’s dad) but also haven’t cried like this for a drama in quite some time. And ofc Chen Jing Ke <3 also kind of a weird scene to end on. 8/10 for me

This is one of the fastest score drops I have ever seen (8.6 to 7.5) but ML is cute so I will PTW.

Just like everyone else’s comments below, super crappy ending (although this is so much shorter compared to typical C-dramas). I connected with this show though since I went through something very similar to the FL (many years of not having physical intimacy and he was a huge cheater) but I did not have someone like Mr. Niina. In fact, I did not tell anybody until I had the red-handed evidence in front of me (now I am telling the world). But I can sympathize with the loneliness that being rejected by a husband can bring and after watching this, I know what NOT to do, so thanks for that.

Congrats on choosing this drama to start. I finished about a week ago and am still going through withdrawal (it was so good). My first 9.5 drama of the year (I have extremely high standards for a 10), just to prepare you. The commenters above answered your question well, so hope that helps your perspective. I agree with you. I finally finished the last episode and I think that the score here is a little unfair, especially if you don’t understand Chinese and certain themes. It might not make sense to everyone but I liked that they generally brought the same style to these mini episodes from Super Sketch Show. And agree with your spoiler below as well.

Honestly, since this is the worst of the angst, I am all for it (the sister meant nothing to anybody, just a weird interstitial) instead of a plotting conniving female villain trying to trap the ML.

Sorry too many comments guys so I could not scroll through them all (so apologies in advance if this was already asked and answered) but what the flying f*** is up with YG sister (who I am assuming is her mother’s first husband’s child, so that’s why she took on the same surname as YG mom)? She came out of nowhere (YG never talks about her) and has a crazy beef with LYY and almost tries to turn the family’s opinion against him immediately? They had an awkward AF encounter when he visited her house (and you find out they were schoolmates) but other than that, no explanation. Honestly, for me, this was more angst (in all the wrong ways) than that Cheng Yan chick (she was kind of sly but pretty early on realized LYY’s feelings for YG and didn’t really do anything majorly horrible to “get” him, so I appreciated that). Appreciate any thoughts or if I missed something else.

P.S. just finished and this is my first 9.5 drama of 2024 - loved Wu Lei to begin with and Zhao Jin Mai is quite cute. I thought their chemistry was outstanding but small stuff like the above prevented it from a 10 for me.

Thank you but omg Dai Dai really needs to branch out into other types of drama… this feels somewhat recycled from Maid’s Revenge/ Bride’s Revenge (but as long as his shirt is coming off… I won’t complain too much haha!)

Ha, I am just compelled to finish for the main CP (I like the ML actor). Yea I don’t think anyone will disagree that the second CP doesn’t work! Oh well 2 more episodes at this point (hopefully released together tomorrow)

I feel you but from a slightly different perspective. I am seriously just hate watching at this point because I cannot drop shows. Ep 19 and had to take a break. I actually think both the aunt and the ML friend don’t match and deserve each other. I get that she’s always had to deal with men who couldn’t handle her… but she is being super unreasonable at this point. He shouldn’t have used this way to take her on the trip but I can see that he’s trying to be romantic. This is an age gap romance gone wrong. Either way it’s just an all-around no-go for me (I really liked his CP with younger FL in I Don’t Want To Be Friends With You but haven’t watched anything he is a lead in that’s good since then)
