So I just finished this and honestly not for the light hearted. It is also super confusing to watch because it is split into two perspectives/storylines - a Taiwan and a Singapore one. But they intersect a lot so the TV show reuses a lot of scenes and you end up watching a lot of repeats. A LOT of violence and unnecessary deaths, so trigger warning there. Not really recommended unless you have nothing better going on.
Wow, ended this on a real WTF feeling. I get they were setting up for S2 and the livestream/in house audience to decide the fate of her pregnancy is interesting, but also cruel. I was not feeling Yang Jun Bo (and that stupid Meng Jie all over him). Much more into Wan Yuan as a love interest (damn that SML syndrome!) Ex-husband is a cop-out, not sure what he is trying to achieve. And that stupid paparazzi!! Why the hell is he leaking private hospital affairs?? He should have been locked up. Can’t rate this higher than a 6 (some of the cases were interesting and kept me hooked).
I unexpectedly started this and couldn’t put it down! So glad I did (what a contrast, inna good way, to other shows I was watching). That twist was everything! Very satisfied with the ending!
I just want to be put out of this misery and finish but it unfortunately looks like this will only be releasing 1 ep a day from now till the end (according to someone’s uploaded airing calendar). Putting on back burner
There is still at least one more episode next week
And now definitely at least another one (ep 12) that the hosts said will be the last time they are passing the moving flag. I think I remember in past seasons they usually had a big reunion trip with the dads and kiddos but don’t know if this one will (if so, then it would probably warrant more than 12 episodes). The previews for next week just show trips to see coaches, students, etc.
I didn't understand anything from this synopsis...
Agreed, sounds like a literal google translate. The only phrase that I think I can conjure is that any instance of “going north” usually refers to when people go to Beijing, that they think there are better opportunities there (called 北漂)
My hometown buddy!! (My ancestral home is also Zhuzhou, Hunan!!) haven’t watched anything he’s in yet, but contemplating the recently airing “In The Name of Dawn”
So far a tiny bit between ML and FL, but it is like 95% up to now, based on his policeman life and his career/work…
Np, haha! Yea I’m shocked how fast they’re going, but at the same time I can kind of hypothesize why. I think it’s all very fast love-at-first-sight to set up their romantic stage (right now, it’s such a back burner to the rest of the story). Unfortunately I have a feeling it is going to be tested in later episodes…
He falls very quickly for FL (I think it was in the first or second episode when he meets her at his boss’s house) and from there, they’re together and have already gotten married. Their time together so far is very short (but sweet when they are together), and so far, she is quite the understanding policeman’s wife (when he has to drop everything to respond to a case). I remember so far, one kiss at their wedding.
So far a tiny bit between ML and FL, but it is like 95% up to now, based on his policeman life and his career/work on the criminal cases (I’ll add some spoiler below)
