I like the OST of this drama more than Fangs of Fortune, even though it gets more praise. Overall, I like this…
Ah, you mean him? I simply call him Edward, it’s easier.😂 Yeah, I agree with you, but I really wish he would choose better screenwriters (It sounds like he’s writing it himself, but I’d appreciate it if he stopped) I like the overall plotlines and the stories, but not the endings. In My Journey to You, he went with an open ending, in Fangs of Fortune, he's going to kill the ML (I’m still watching it, so I said that about the future, lol). And with Veil of Shadows, I didn’t like the ending. You could say Lu Wuyi got her wish of living in a peaceful world with Ji Ling, but we had been following them in their previous world, so their absence there makes the ending feel sad for me. But overall, his choice of collaborators is excellent. Their costume design is stunning, these dramas have had some of the most captivating outfits I’ve ever seen. Also, the VFX combined with the OST is just incredible; it makes me rewatch certain scenes over and over because they feel so immersive. I especially love the action scenes and the way they visualize the characters’ powers. Plus, the set design and the staging are spot-on; the placement of the characters within the environment is always so important and well-thought-out
Should I watch it? How's the ending? Is it emotionally exhausting? Will it break my heart and make me cry ugly?…
1. yes definitely 2. it's HE 3. No not at all, it’s more emotionally impressive 4. It really depends on how easily you cry. I was very emotionally affected by it, but it wasn’t the kind of drama that broke my heart or made me want to cry.
You know, it’s not a sad drama. It’s just emotionally impactful. But I promise you’ll get really attached, and moving on from them will be hard, not with a broken heart, but with that feeling of missing them
Who is the main couple here?? Lol. I finished episode 1 and 2. I just came here to comment on how interesting…
It's hard to say who the main couple is here, everyone has a different opinion, maybe depending on which couple they like the most. I also think the main couple is Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi, and I think they had more screen time than the second couple.
I actually disagree with you regarding Chen Duling in this drama. I’ve watched different dramas of hers, and this is the only one where I truly enjoyed her character and acting. In other dramas, I felt like she lacked self-confidence even when her character seemed very strong, but not here. Regarding what you said about her acting like she’s in love with herself, that’s what I like and that's just how her character is written, especially in the first few episodes (I think about six of them). She tries really hard to act flirtatious and showy. Even Ju Jingyi is similar, but since I feel like she (I mean her character, Lu Wuyi) truly loves and knows Ji Ling, she doesn’t feel the need to act that way as much
Most of the actors from this are in Veil of Shadows, it even has a similar vibe and Xianxia, maybe dear Edward (the director) decided to make something like this after this and Veil of Shadows came into being😂 Anyway, I'm grateful to him. I wish he would have had a little mercy at the end of this drama (I haven't finished it yet, but I read the comments)Or a little more happy ending at the end of Veil of Shadows lol
MDL ratings only reflect how many fans or haters a drama has. It rarely gives a reliable indication of quality.
you say ‘haters', I both agree and disagree. Maybe sometimes the quality of the drama itself is just low, and people give it a low rating because of that, not just because they’re ‘haters’ rating it poorly for no reason. But then again, maybe sometimes they are just haters. That’s why I preferred to ask and hear other people’s opinions
I hate that the ML and FL spent almost the entire series thinking they were blood-related and couldn’t get married. And what I hate even more is how the FL told the ML she came from the future, and he just accepted it without a second thought! Why does such a high-potential drama have to be buried under this kind of nonsense? I can’t believe it And you know what? I’m even upset that the final scene was just them staring into each other’s eyes. Even though their eyes were full of unspoken words and it was beautifully captured, I was dying to see them in the present time. Especially since I knew from the first episode that the person the FL was chasing was the ML, and she was then drawn into the past. Even though they only showed him from behind, it was obvious it was Li Yun Rui

Have mercy on this drama
Also, would you say the FL’s behavior in romantic part is frustrating or not?
