Same here, I don’t like the ML at all and I was about to drop it, but I kept watching just for Fu Ling. She’s the star of this drama — her acting was amazing and she deserves to get leading roles.

I knew Fu Ling was FL’s sister from the very first time I saw her, ’cause her adult actress looked so much like her child actress — especially the eyes. But Fan Yue’s brother? That one really shocked me. The guy actually wanted to kill his own brother!😬
I’m on episode 21, and all my efforts to like the ML have been useless. I don’t have a problem with his looks; I just don’t like his clothes and behavior. Unlike other demon gods in dramas like Love Between Fairy and Devil or Till the End of the Moon, he doesn’t feel like a demon god at all. At the same time, I really like the second couple. Of course, their relationship hasn’t fully developed yet, but they do care about each other to some extent.

Yes, it happened and I skipped all the scenes where ML seemed stupid and I'm really glad it didn't take too long otherwise it would have made me drop it 😂
Even though there was so little romance that it shouldn't even be considered a drama genre, it was still very good, especially this song that played every time it made me emotionalTT
It was a nice drama but it could have been much, much better. The characters were all great except FL. I have no problem with Esther Yu and I have watched her dramas where she has played serious roles but this role (cute but annoying) really didn't suit her. I felt like she was acting too unrealistically, like she was trying to prove that she was so funny and cute when she wasn't. If FL's actress was someone else or at least FL was more serious, it would definitely have been better and its rating would be above 9 now. I even had this opinion about Love Between Fairy and Devil. Not that Esther is a bad actress, but that she shouldn't be given dramas that FL should be so cute (annoying) in, she can't handle it.
