I'm gonna miss this show so much. It's just so funny and chaotic. Could you just see a second season if kids were thrown into the mix? All the kids getting into fights and squabbles?
Episode 30 was hilarious. The men beating him up under the table and everyone just a part of this chaotic family. Dude is gonna fit right in, esp. since he isn't treated kindly like this in his own family.
But the biggest takeaway of all? This relationship is kink coded. He finds it hot she beats people up and seems to somewhat overlook when she beats him thoroughly. Only question is he a sub or a switch? 🧐
I swear, I love this show. I wish there was more. I don't care what they would do, this family is so wild and silly. Can they just all do a modern day c-drama to keep me from being miserable?
Damn. That court case was the equivalent of watching the moment in A Few Good Men with Jack Nicholson admitting the code red. I loved it. Who would have thought!
Seeing that he WAS the one form her childhood - my heart!
Seeing Shen as part of the Alliance is hilarious. He is the no-nonsense one who just lets them all do what they need to do and smirks and laughs from the sidelines but offers criticism.
Leshan looks FAB in her wedding attire. And hooooo boy, here we go: this one has me excited. The fact he married her as a game / bet fulfillment is wild. The bratty rich boy who likes to pick on others and gets everything he wants.
I like the bit of the mother in the room. It feels natural, real, seeing a parent reflect on when everyone leaves the house leaving it empty. But how cute the girls are going to rotate stay to keep her company.
Ep 25: Oh. My. God. Regency romance feels UP THE WALL. The way he kisses, it has floored me. And, the intimacy in his hands when tying that belt. Hot.
Ahhhh, the moment of weakness the lord had for the 5th sister seeing the fear and sadness in her eyes. It will undo him in the future!
Ep26: Oh no, a concubine! His look of sadness was sad when he saw her crying.
LOL her calling his bluff - 'so, you remember the cases... but don't remember me? I see.'
Adorable, he cannot help but love that his wife s an asset.
Everyone is getting a beating today!
Oh my - he scared / gave the truth to his cousin by also complementing his wife. He is like, 'you can't be like my wife because she is badass and can gut a guy if it comes to it, what will you do if you were in her position - would you be like her or freak out like my mom and off yourself'.
AH! She is like, 'oh, oh, you were hoping i'd stay? I'll stay!' He wants to kiss and have sexy times but she just blocked him for sure. Dude is gonna crumble. Once he had a taste of intimacy he will want more.
These last two episodes were yummy! I love this couple and the clips of them in modern day doing husband and wife stuff is such a flex. They would make good couple in real life.
In summary: Based on the collective party in the comments, Hadoe is our girl. She is empathetic, resourceful, determined, generous, and sweet. I also think China needs to write more 'man or woman solves crimes and has a man or woman support / help them'. In Blossom was one, the upcoming Coroner's Diary will be another.
I cried when Hadoe cried because she worked hard! And he saw that too and replaced her bracelet. Awwwww. AND: that new official is hot, and I love how she was thinking of setting him up with her sister. But her husband! The camera work in the last five minutes, along with everyones faces and the slow mo had me rolling.
I can't wait for the end, girl needs her husband. The boys need their rational, older brother of the League of Husbands.
I really wish they did a special where we see these couples in a modern day setting where they are coming over to mom's for Lunar New Year or for another holiday, and we get to see them interact with cell phones and get into all sorts of shenanigans. Like the ladies tell the guys to go out for food or beer, or something, which leads to them having shenanigans and the ladies have to help them out.
I just want more. :( I love them so much.
So glad everyone stuck around for the ride. This show is a gem and I am glad it is on Netflix for people to enjoy.
(Tho I still say I would love for a modern day story with this family.)
I am so glad everyone stayed with this!
