Using the word "literally" doesn't make an invalid statement any more valid than it already isn't, nor does repeating the invalid statement.

But I'll go ahead and use your approach and reply to you in the same manner: You can't expect everyone to have the same opinion as you about a storyline that literally does NOT romanticize sexual assault.

Writing a comment containing an opinion pretty much makes it clear that the opinion is that of the writer. There is no need for commenters to keep repeating "this is my opinion." Of course it's their opinion. That's why they wrote it.

I just finished my first RE-watch of this series after seeing it about two years. It effected me deeply in ways I don't recall feeling the first time around. Nearly every episode filled my heart to near-exploding with joy/angst/fear/sorrow/warmth/excitement/hope and more. What more can we ask for from a drama?

LOVE the Fujoshis in this show. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with women who enjoy and thrill to the sight of two men finding deep and lasting love for each other. It's not about sex, it's about romance and commitment and happiness. I love that the main Fujoshi is a strong component of the story. Her influence on the men is positive in every way.

Great acting, direction, writing, challenging and controversial story arcs which make for great drama. Real people make bad choices and it's not necessary that everyone involved has to be traumatized and damaged for life. The couple I'm referring to CHOOSE forgiveness and love, something the judgemental shamers here don't seem able to grasp.

All four main actors are great in their roles. Their characters gel and complement each other SO very well and effectively. I'm in love with all four of them. I especially enjoyed the deep, committed three-way friendship at the center of the story. All three were there for the other two when it really mattered, at various times throughout the story. Anson Chen is a living, breathing, beautiful Manga character drawing.

I could NOT stop watching this. The episodes fly by and I feel compelled on to the next.

I'm bumping up my former rating from 8.5/10 to 9.5/10.

It is excellent on every count. Aspects of the story are complicated and challenging which makes for great drama. Highly recommended.

Stop watching BLs. You can't handle exciting, challenging story lines.

The step-brothers story arc was beautiful. Forgiveness and love win over all the negativity and judgement people like you project onto others. No one cares if you think it's creepy; they're happy and that's what pisses you off. You want everyone miserable and traumatized in your fantasy, black-and-white world,when it doesn't have to be that way.

I guess you can't read English very well, so I'll sum it up for you:

I like MOST of this show, the parts focusing on the main couple, very much.
I DISlike the parts of the show that focus on the silly mystery-solving Hardy Boys adventure stuff, which was superfluous to the main love story and those close to them.
This isn't hard to understand but for some reason people such as you seem unable to grasp it.
So, a little negative from me, a LOT positive from me. If you can't handle that, I can't help you.

I'm not anybody's victim. That's just you avoiding the core issue. I simply keep asking what it is about gay romance that "turns you off" (your words), and you refuse to answer. Which is pretty much the answer itself. You're not "obligated" to answer, but you could choose to do so. For some reason, you don't.

I'm curious: Where do you live? Where we grow up is a big part of what makes all of us who we are, so I'm interested to know that. I'm American, but of course there are millions and millions of homophobes here too. I don't kid myself that the U.S. is a gay person's Utopia.

That is exactly comparable to your position on not watching BL. I never said you were "obligated" to do anything. I ASKED you why you feel the way you do, and suggested your position is not as benign as you seem to think it is.
