As someone who is currently working in an office, from America, I concur that it is as boring as it gets. So many…
I'm woke but not in the extreme way you're referring to, where everything and every human interaction is fraught with fear of being accused of sexual harassment or bigotry or racism, whatever. Thing is, some people harassers and bigots and racist and interact with others in a way that's not good in a workplace. But when the atmosphere becomes tight and paranoid, that's not good either.
My kind of woke: After the George Floyd thing, and the BLM protests/riots, when people began defacing statues of Confederate "heroes" in the South, I suddenly "woke up" one day and though "wtf have we allowed statues, sculptures, flags and many other forms of display that celebrate and glorify the hideous union of slave-holding, seditious, treasonous, racist, and insurrectionist states which started a civil war that nearly tore the U.S. apart and killed about 750,000 people? This is insane. How did I not think this before?"
So I was happy to see every one of those statues come down, every confederate flag lowered, etc. It's as though Germany continued to allow Nazi symbolism and statuary after WW2. What the hell were we thinking? In this and several other ways I feel I woke up and finally saw what I'd been blind to before.
Of course, the right wing and Republicans now use "woke" as a catch-all adjective that even they can't define. It's pretty much just a dog whistle insult to Liberals and Democrats behind which they hide. A lot of "woke" stuff is good stuff. But anything can be and is taken to extremes sometimes.
And anyone who believes systemic racism in the U.S. is not a real thing, is either a liar or willfully stupid. Racism is built-in to government and law enforcement and needs to be rooted out.
This is the fluffiest BL I've ever liked. It's also sweet and sexy. It's fluff AND sex.
Wow. Those kisses were gorgeous.
Jiang Chi is an amazing combo of sexiness and tenderness. The way he looks at Bu Xia with adoration and love makes me weak in the knees. Watching him watching BX is a pleasure.
Question About the Morning BonerWhat is the biological explanation for the morning boner? Specifically, what happens…
Goodness. You're an angry bigot and it's kind of pathetic.
I'm supportive of the entire population, those with peen and those with vag both, not just half like you. Quit projecting your issues onto me
BTW, I never said "all" straight people are "all for" polygamy. But I get that you're the type who needs to put words in other people's mouths, then argue back against the s**t they just made up. You speak in huge, sweeping generalizations about huge, sweeping categories of people.
Wow, it's like you're a caricature of a stereotypical, man-hating, angry Lesbian. And one who's an expert on straight relationships and what ALL women want and need and anything that goes wrong in a relationship is the fault of the one with the d**k. Got it. lol
Wow, what a waste of time. That entire Waiting For Mr. Mo segment, which was most of the episode, was a giant, boring time-suck that did nothing at all to advance the plot. Annoying.
The circular water feature/fountain was cool though.
My god, neither of our boys can dance for s**t! No rhythm, no grace, it was hilariously bad even though it was choreographed as pretty much coming out as lovers to all assembled at the school. The intense eye contact and sex-looks were amusing.
So with the dancing and the Waiting For Mr. Mo crap, that was pretty much it. The episode was nothing but filler, and filler is annoying.
Oh...it dawned on me that little Duo has likely known our boys are hot for each other from the very beginning. Little kids pick up on that type of thing easily. Their protective walls are still thin and short, so they see what many adults no longer do.
Question About the Morning BonerWhat is the biological explanation for the morning boner? Specifically, what happens…
So now all gay men are in "healthy relationships?" lol
For someone who is gay and thus has no concept of a straight woman's feelings toward a straight man, you sure seem to think you know what it's all about regarding straight relationships and straight men. You don't. Someone who hates half the population isn't a reliable source of knowledge about the very people they hate.
In other words, you've no idea what you're talking about, but you like to talk anyway.
Question About the Morning BonerWhat is the biological explanation for the morning boner? Specifically, what happens…
So you hate straight men. That's a pretty broad category of people to dismiss as worthy of only of your scorn.
There are women, I'm sure, who would flourish in a polygamous relationship. Who would be relieved not to have to service a horny husband every night, for one thing. Your statement that monogamy is "preferred," implying that's what ALL women want is sort of amusing. All women? Plenty of women cheat on their husbands too you know. And half of American marriages end in divorce, and in how many of the remaining marriages is one of the partners having an affair?
All that considered, it seems your "preferred" monogamous system doesn't really work very well at all. I say this as someone who would never be in a relationship like that. Wouldn't work for me. But it would work for a lot of other people so I, and you, and the government should butt out.
There are also people for whom one woman married or involved openly with multiple men would work. Why do I care if they choose that arrangement?
As to you hating being a woman...your statements and attitude regarding your womb and your periods indicates that to be the case.
Wow, I continue to really like this show, even though it's a censored Chinese BL so far. The director and actors are exceptional at generating a lot of emotion and heat in ways other than embracing or kissing. Loved the bouncing scene at the mall or wherever they were. The look on Su Yu's face as they bounced together just inches apart was as full of love and lust as many a lame, Thai BL "sex scene." And then they fell on top of each other in the bin of rectangular foamies and I swooned. I thought they were going to go at it right there. Bravo.
The actress playing Su Yu's mom is very good in that role. I have felt compassion for her almost from the beginning. If she ever figures out that Su Yu doesn't WANT to be chauffered, he likes his bike, he doesn't WANT a big expensive house, he likes where he is, etc. she will be almost perfect. I like the way the script has slowly opened us up to the real back story regarding her marriage. It was extremely touching when Su Yu called her "mom." If this show involves the boys being openly a couple by the end, I bet she'll be the first to support them.
Love the little girl.
Not sure about the whole corporate mischief plot we're getting into as I'd like the focus to remain on Su Yu and Wu Bi and their developing relationship. But must say that plot is actually kind of intriguing of its own accord.
Question About the Morning BonerWhat is the biological explanation for the morning boner? Specifically, what happens…
You forgot to throw "the patriarchy!!!" in there.
I don't really get why you're reacting to things I never said.
I specifically indicated that society attempts to impose the one man/one woman thing as a means to prevent chaos, which if I understand you, is what you are saying also. So why the belligerence? Unless I'm misinterpreting you and you don't mean to be belligerent.
My entire point boils down to: Men's bodies are designed to impregnate one woman every day. But that wouldn't be a good idea, so we don't generally do that, as it's looked down upon by society. So, we're horny 24/7, especially at a young age. Not sure what you're worked up about.
It's hilarious that you just flatly state "monogamy outweighs polygamy." Says who? I think polygamy should be legal. What's the government doing telling people how to live their personal lives. I wouldn't be able to live in an arrangement like that but some people could and it's not my business to tell them otherwise. If, in a particular polygamous situation a woman or women is being abused, well, we already have laws to deal with that.
"Men don't do shit." Men do a LOT of shit. Or have you forgotten society still generally expects the man to be the primary bread-winner.
It sounds like you're angry that you are a woman. That's got to be a tough way to live. It seems you may be, as one of my aunts used to say, a "man-hater," so I won't engage further. Your anger outweighs my interest in what you have to say.
To be fair, although I'm really tired of BL binge drinking, Korean work culture really is like that. I worked…
From a marketing/advertising perspective, wouldn't it be smart to have an attractive, sharp and well-styled person-male or female-at the front desk, just as it would be a good idea to have a beautiful painting behind the front desk as opposed to an ugly one?
That desk and that painting would be the first thing clients and business associates see upon entering the company and first impressions are strong and lasting.
I feel ... fulfilled. Good show, good ending, good actors. I was hesitant for the first episode, but it got magical…
7.7 is way too HIGH for this show. You sure are suspiciously enthusiastic about a lame series, urging people to raise the rating. Hmmm... I gave it a 2/10

After the first 2 or 3 eps, I hate-watched for the sake of the leads' good looks and nice, if extremely skinny, torsos.
Severe depression and mental illness, of the type that leaves one a gasping, sobbing heap of putty on the street because some bitch said a mean thing to you, is NOT curable via one mannequin kiss on the sidewalk. Ren needs a month in a mental health facility, meds and talk therapy. It was beyond ridiculous how his personality completely changed at the end. I'M CURED!!!
Both leads are terrible actors, and it seems to have gotten worse as the series progressed (I use that word lightly). All the bad fake crying was positively painful to watch. Cringe City. I mainly fault the director but maybe he did the best he could with these guys. They definitely were not cast for their acting abilities, so I'm wondering if a couch might have been involved.

Quote from you: "Teh knew exactly what he did & nothing he did after could’ve redeemed his selfishness."
Thanks for answering my question about whether or not you'd confess to a one-night stand that meant nothing and won't happen again. I think I would have to do the same, as I would be guilt-ridden otherwise.
Some would argue that under those circumstances it is selfish to confess, so as to relieve one's own pain and put it on my partner, who would suffer from the knowledge. Actually, were I the cheater, I think I'd talk it over with my therapist a few times (that's what they're for!) and then end up confessing. I've never done that, so I don't know how I'd act in the real situation. I'm quite monogamous by nature anyway.

I didn't mean to blame the director soley; as you said it takes two to tango.
But you said that cheating is "unredeemable," unforgivable and I just disagree strongly with that attitude. By that reasoning if half of a couple strays for a one-night-stand, the primary relationship is just OVER, with no chance for reconciliation. I see that as a sad conclusion.
"It’s comical to me how people are able to say oh well, people make mistakes, move on." I said no such thing. Please don't put words in my mouth. Nor did I say the straying partner should not be accountable for their actions. OF COURSE they should be. You can't reconcile as a couple, or break up or whatever if there's no acknowledgement of what happened
You said nothing in your earlier comment about "holding a cheater accountable." You wrote something like "cheating leaves the cheater utterly irredeemable" and I strongly disagree with that. Good people sometimes do bad things and the idea that they can't be forgiven is ridiculous.
But I do want to recognize and acknowledge that it's possible that the partner who was cheated ON is left unable to ever trust the cheater again. In that case a break-up seems like the only course. Who wants to live with someone you are constantly suspicious of.
But there are a LOT of people in marriages who discover or strongly suspect at some point that their husband, wife, whatever is having an affair, and who choose to say NOTHING. To look the other way for the sake of the home, kids, and society. If that's their choice then I choose to respect that too.
I didn't' word my above comment about the "therapist" clearly. I meant that I was playing amateur therapist and concluding that a lot of people who go insane with rage and judgement when cheating is discussed here do so from a place of insecurity, worrying it will someday happen to them. The overreaction and condemnation is a pre-inoculation against their ever having to deal with in their real lives. We'll just have to disagree on that.
Finally, I'd like to know your opinion about something. What if one half of a couple has a one-night stand and it never happens again. Nobody knows about it and the person the cheater boinked moves away, across the country. Should the "cheater" confess to their partner and risk ruining a relationship/home/love/contentment, or remain silent and focus on never letting it happen again?
To me, the best choice in this case is silence, unless the one who strayed can't stand the guilt and HAS to confess in order to move forward.

I meant I am monogamous as well. Polygamy wouldn't work for me, nor would an open relationship. Doesn't mean I should be telling everyone else to do.
You make such overly broad statements as to be ridiculous. And oh god, here I am engaging again...
