I'm in the process of getting ready to watch this show and I see the 2 sides of the fence going at it here in…
Ummm...YOU are the dumb fuck here. Who is the Thames Valley Police and who gives a fuck what they say about what went down in a fictional BL? Again I ask, what if BOTH parties (or all three, four or five parties) involved in a wild, ecstatic pleasurable night of sex were ALL drunk as fuck and couldn't consent? Who goes to jail? lol So funny we've got SJWs posting police videos here randomly as if that is the last word on the subject.
MILLIONS of people will have drunk sex tonight, all over the world. Does that excite you? Make you angry? Both?
what the hell I can't believe history would produce that type of content. ugh that really sucks I thought we were…
So are you saying this show's message is that EVERY gay relationship is like the ones portrayed here? Even if you are, what the hell are you talking about? They were ALL happy at the end!
Halfway through episode 8. When did this become a Broadway-style musical? lol All of a sudden people are singing their confessions with no mics and it's funnier than hell. hahaha...loved all the guys helping cover up for Ruk and iG's picture Ruk's dad saw online. That scene was hilarious. Poor old dude...everyone around him has turned or is turning homo. :D
When Petch got embarrassed and ran away and ran into that tree, I laughed out loud. Silly slap-stick can be a lot of fun. That kid with the glasses is cute. Oh hell, they all are, but not in the usual pretty-boy ways we usually see in BLs. Kui is hilarious and sweet/adorable the way he treats Petch.
This show got really bad when it seemed like IG was singing (badly) half of every episode, but so far in 8 there's been a nice turn-around. Don't really get what IG's mom and grandma do for the band except take the money to the bank. ???
I feel like this person that is doing the subs shouldn't be gaining money with somebody's elses project..i know…
I guess I don't understand why you want to read english subs but you don't think someone who does the hard work of subtitling a show should be compensated for their time. Why should they do it for free? I get that they are subtitling a show they don't own, but I don't care; they are putting in the time and making the show available to a lot of people who otherwise would not see it. And as I understand it, you're not paying $5 per episode for this series, you are paying $5 per MONTH to watch everything that has been subbed by the subber. How is that not a pretty good deal? You can watch your ass off for a month and then cancel, right?
I'm going to pay this ThaiBLFan92 their $5 and see how it goes. I don't know why I like this silly show enough to do that, but I do. I like little Ruk.
There is no necessary for a 18+ scene or even kissing to be in a bl series. It was really good and funny. If you…
OK, agree to disagree. Just find it really hard to buy a guy in his mid to late 20s who is nervous about a kiss. He stood at the altar with KK and still hadn't kissed him. You're saying he yelled to SM to marry him but didn't mean it? Where does that come from? It's nothing but a speculation, which is all we're given about almost all the men's sex drives in this show.. If Tin is asexual or some other-sexual, then why wasn't that covered in the script?? Why is he afraid of kissing? There are lots of gradations between having sex three times a day and not even kissing ONCE. I maintain that long before you UNDERSTAND your sexuality, if you need to do that, you FEEL it, I don't see Tin feeling anything physical toward anyone and I don't find it believable at all.
I think this and the original were written by people from the Disney writing team or people who think sex is icky and so they just ignored it to pretend it doesn't exist.
Am I the only one assuming Nut took time off from school after the catching-his-boyfriend-in-bed-with-another-dude…
Your comment was very interesting to read. I hadn't thought much about Nut's effeminacy since that very first scene when he was playing coy with Ball during their pillow talk after doing the deed. He was doing that eye-batting, running his fingers along Ball's arm, stereotypical man-trying-to-act-like-he-thinks-a-woman-acts thing that a lot of lazy BL actors playing effeminate characters do. (And there's a lot of them in this series.) But since then I hadn't really noticed him being effeminate. I'll watch for that.
Sun/Sky are gorgeous together. At first I didn't think it would work but, and I credit some of this to fairly good acting because it can overcome most problems, I have come to really enjoy the visual of them together as a possible couple. Pillow-lips Sky is one of my fave BL actors anyway; I've loved him since LBC. It's nice to see him as a lead.
My take on Nut and Pha's looks is almost completely visual though, at least I think so. I'm a portrait artist so I always find myself studying people's faces to determine what works or doesn't, what makes their look interesting or not, what is beautiful or gross...you get it. Nuts' eyes are small and blood-shot a lot, even when he's not tearing up from some insult or offense. Something about his nose bugs me. As for Pha, I don't mind the bushy eyebrows as long as it's not ridiculous; I would guess they've ALREADY been groomed, in opposition to some complaints here on the board. lol (I really hope the actors don't read comments.) But their blackness against that hideous redish-rinse so many Asians think is attractive, doesn't work for me. Also, he has a really skinny neck. I am concerned that it will snap.
I may be crucified for focusing on looks in this post, but let's face it, looks are a big part of why and how actors are cast for particular roles, so I think it's fair game.
On the third episode link for this series on world-of-bl.com there is a thumbnail of Nut in 3/4 profile. His hair looks to be lighter and maybe permed a little; it is swept back from his face and forehead. He looks really handsome to me. It's amazing how one thing like hair color can completely alter a person's look.
Ugh, I can't stand it. This is the definition of the word "terrible." Seriously, I just googled "terrible" and the MDL page for this show came up.
Alex almost naked once in a while is NOT enough reason to put up with all the many ways in which this show sucks. I just watched the first episode of the Japanese BL GIVEN...it is night and day better than this and after being reminded how good a good BL can be, I'm out.
Am I the only one assuming Nut took time off from school after the catching-his-boyfriend-in-bed-with-another-dude…
This show is a little odd to me too because, while I actually LIKE if the actors don't all look like runway models, these two leads both look a little STRANGE to me. Do you see that or am I nuts? Well...I AM nuts but do you see what I'm talking about? :)
After one episode, this looks to be excellent. I love that dark, slightly begrudging-but-sweet undercurrent a lot of Japanese BLs I've seen have, like this one. Excited to see what's next here.
Well-done dramas like this make it very difficult to go back and watch/support light crap like INN LOVE from the Phillippines, which I don't think I can do after being reminded by GIVEN how good a good BL can be.
Am I the only one assuming Nut took time off from school after the catching-his-boyfriend-in-bed-with-another-dude…
I will "sigh" right along with you. By that logic you could be in a relationship and bang a different person every day and it wouldn't be an issue because it was "just sex." lol
There is no necessary for a 18+ scene or even kissing to be in a bl series. It was really good and funny. If you…
This is what you are refusing to see: the "sexual aspects" are already there by nature. Is TIn gay/bi/straight? Why doesn't anyone kiss or have sex even though they are getting married? Is sex a thing they don't know about? isn't that kind of strange? Whey is Tin seemingly asexual? What happened to the SM who barged into the shower early-on and kissed Tin while he was naked? And on and on...the series doesn't have to FOCUS on sex, it just has to live in the real world where sex is a thing. A show can't focus on "light comedy." That's not a plot or story point, that is a genre. Seriously? "light romance" in which all the gay men are absent sex drives?
The problem is it wasn't BASED on a Japanese drama, it non-creatively repeated the original almost word for word and fixed none of the many problems.
Weird. I'm kind of into this...not nearly as horrendously bad as I expected from comments below. Sure, the makeup crew applies rouge to the actresses with a trowel and it was creepy the way the General Manager immediately came on to Alex who is, after all, a guest at this place. And....I guess it's a gay resort? Guys only? Not sure...but if so, why is Alex, who seems to be straight, staying there? Gino's growing on me...hey, it's not terrible!
THAT is one of the best bodies every in BL history. As long as they keep Alex's clothes off a good deal of the time, does it really matter how much the rest of the production sucks? He's ALMOST a little TOO worked-out but I'll cut him some slack for a cute personality lurking under that arrogance.
The entire resort staff is obnoxious, but you knew that. What is it with so many Pinoy BLs and the operatic acting; every word and gesture is TIMES-TEN.
Let's face it: Gino is not...conventionally handsome. Since it's a general fact that beautiful people go for other beautiful people, it will be interesting to see how the script gets Alex to fall for him.
This isn't nearly as horrible as I thought it would be after I read the comments before starting to watch. lol There are quite a few other, much more popular Pinoy BLs that I dropped and so far I'll keep watching this one. I hope it avoids getting preachy about LGBT issues, as so many Filipino BLs tend to do. There's already been a little of that, but hopefully not much more.
Now off to see how they get Alex naked in episode 3:
There is no necessary for a 18+ scene or even kissing to be in a bl series. It was really good and funny. If you…
You just CANNOT stop yourself from replying, can you? lol I thought you were done with me a couple comments ago...? hahaha
"Fetishizing..." lol Just another trendy SJW term used to try to stigmatize the enjoyment of sex, whether as a participant or an observer. I AM a gay man, you cretin; I'm not sure it's possible to "fetishize" my own sexuality and the portrayal of it in drama/comedy. I love to have sex and I don't mind watching other people having sex as well...most humans are the same, if they're honest about it.
Is it your opinion that the hundreds of thousands of fictional movies/series/plays/whatever that depict straight couples making out or having sex "fetishizes" straight sexuality or straight people? Or is it only us gays how are fetishized by the open portrayal of sex?
You are what is known as, in the English language, a "prude." Google it. I don't care how much porn you jerk off or touch yourself to in private; you don't feel OK about it and even boys making out in BLs make you nervous. Too bad for you. I LOVE seeing two young boys kissing...it is an extremely beautiful thing and I don't feel badly about it at all.
Looking forward to your next reply that you won't be able to stop yourself from making. :D Love you!

Bravo. Looking forward to Episode 2.

Gino has a great bod too. Who knew? :)
