this comment section is an absolute shit show. i'm glad people are sharing their opinions but jesus christ please…
This is such a typical comment from someone with your viewpoint. NO ONE asked for "graphic onscreen sex." NO ONE. But of course you put that in your comment as if it were a thing that commenters were looking for. Myself, I was looking for ANY sign of intimacy between SM and TIN. ANYTHING. Name one. Name a scene where they held each other and shared a loving kiss alone in their apartment. You can't It doesn't exist. Please direct me to a scene where Tin "traverses his sexuality" in any meaningful way. The show presents Tin as having whatever sexuality pleases the last person he talked to, but mostly, it presents him as having NO sexuality at all. Asexual. Please point me to a scene where Tin kisses a man as an exploratory experiment; or kisses a woman, or a trans person...SOMEONE please. He is written here as having zero sex drive.
Seems to me this is just another example of how hung up people still are about SEX. In 2021, viewers still get nervous when sex rears its head, so to speak, in a plot. Sex is a huge part of being human, so why can't it be regarded as just another plot/story line/device/action, whatever, that drives characters' behavior? Because, whether you like it or not, SEX and desire are the catalysts for many actions taken outside the bedroom as well as in.
Why do arguments in the comments section upset you? Who said comment sections have to be tranquil or they are a "shit show?" I mean, other than you of course.
I feel some people are going too far with their comments about this show. It is not perfect but seeing such strong…
Thanks for your comment, but I almost totally disagree. Where a drama is from and the political issues in that locale should have no consideration when evaluating a show. It's what it is, both good and bad, regardless of where it was made.
I loved the Japanese series also, until the same point where things with Tin and SM and their Japanese counterparts began to get weird and not believable. Then it got worse from there.
I do not understand why this drama/comedy was even made. We already have subtitles so it's not about the language, we already had hysterically funny, slapstick acting and otherwise from actors in the original, so it's not about that either. And if you're not going to make any meaningful changes to the story, then why make the damn thing?
EP 12: dailymotion.com/video/x82o3c1Ok, so contrary to some of the previous comments, the trip wasn't a dream. So…
I had to pat my moist places dry after reading your comment. I could not agree with you more on all points. There is a LOT of stupid, unreasonable behavior in this series, and a lot of it comes from SM. I hate when BL characters just assume they know what is best for their partner, do a fake "I don't love you" and leave. So cliche.
Have to disagree about TZ asking SM for the OK to confess to Tin. How fucking out of line is it for a third party to ask half of a couple for permission to declare their love to the partner's significant other? The minute she opened her mouth to say that, I was like "bitch, you are NOT serious." But of course, SM, having only half of a spine, gave her the go-ahead. If someone came to me and asked what she asked, after picking my jaw up off the floor, I would have said "are you crazy?" How inappropriate and messed up is that? Then I would have said "hell no, sister-woman, stay away from my man. He is MINE."

There's no thumbnail for ep 13 in my version of that page, and it's not clickable to watch. Any advice?
Before watching ep 13, I wanted to give a shout-out to Rachel Kan, who plays Francesca. She is incredible in that role. Her comedic skills are on display at times, but there have been a lot of scenes where she is upset and crying and she it one hundred percent believable. No fake, dry crying here. And her character arc has been beautiful. She is such a reasonable/gentle/big-hearted woman. Her concern, caring and conspiring with KK to win over TIn, after the grief and trauma of her divorce, is so lovely to see. This character is a rare and tender beauty, and should be cherished.
I'm enjoying her story with Louis, but...I've a feeling there's disappointment for Louis not far ahead. She will begin to worry about the age of her uterus and her assumption that Louis MUST have his own biological children. I've often thought it's curious that the issue of Francesca and KK not having children was never even touched on, as having kids is such a prevalent societal pressure in most of Asia. I mean, it's fine, maybe they just didn't want them, but that should have been given a bit of exposition. Instead, like much of the rest of the possibilities in this show, it was left to rot on the vine.
I agree about the darkness underlying this series. That's what I like most about it. Someone could pull a weapon…
Yeah, no way to really know that. But I think it's intentional. Look at the way Shin Woo just glared at Daon after he splattered him with hot soup. No apology, no help cleaning up, nothing...he just looked at Daon and TK kind of resentfully, but even that was muted. And then he walked away. He has major issues from being bullied and maybe blackmailed by those thugs about his homosexuality. And he seems to HATE Daon. Naturally, this being a BL, he never stops to think about why it might be that TK is always chasing him down to talk about their relationship and how he wants to be friends.
I think TK's ghostly-white, flawless skin, which was mentioned this episode, is definitely intentional. I mean, look at him, maybe it will turn out that he is a robot or android. Isn't there an entire BL series based on that premise? lol I'm actually serious...I mean, why not?
It's cliche BL bullshit: Better to cruelly dump your lover and walk out than to actually discuss a situation and…
Well, of course I don't give a shit what the horrible Chinese government says about anything, but i'd have to now if I lived in HK. However and again, these are all things that would have come up if a rational, reasonable, honorable and most of all, respectful, discussion had been initiated by SM. But no, he just lies and disappears.
And I think all of the issues you listed would have been extremely interesting and dynamic as plot points in the show if they had discussed them as a couple who would have to deal with all that. But they don't bring any of that up,, so is the viewer supposed to research HK's laws and regulations to know all this and just assume it's part of SM's thinking? That's not how a decent story works. What we need to know should be on the screen and in the dialogue.
It's hard to believe these Asian countries, with their highly advanced IT industries and a host of other ways in which they are thoroughly modern, are so freaking backward in their social/cultural norms. It's really appalling. I'm impressed that Taiwan has gone ahead with gay marriage, probably partly to give the finger to mainland China. lol
I understand why Muk want to break up with Tin, but at least give a honest explanation. Poor Tin, he hurting and…
It's cliche BL bullshit: Better to cruelly dump your lover and walk out than to actually discuss a situation and seek a common solution. In contrast to you, however, I don't "understand" SM's silly, cliche reasoning at all. It makes no sense. Gay couples can marry. They can adopt. They can have children by surrogate. But rather than being open and honest with his concerns, SM just...punts. It's bullshit.
Given that, for me, this series has devolved from a 9/10 to a 3/10 at this point, I continue watching purely for the ecstatic pleasure of hearing the male cast members pronounce the name "Francesca." Depending on the speaker, I either swoon or laugh out loud. :)
Yes! Brooding Shin Woo and his barely contained rage. You're so right about him. Looks like Tae Kyung is the only…
lol...pretty sure I know the flick you're talking about. A bloody/sexy/violent romantic climax. Ahhh, but WHO would TK be laying on the floor, making out and bleeding to death with at the end?
Yes! Brooding Shin Woo and his barely contained rage. You're so right about him. Looks like Tae Kyung is the only…
Maybe the finale will be a four-way shoot-out among the mains in the school cafeteria after all the other students have been obliterated.
And you're right, Shin Woo seems more angry than sad that TK appears to be responding to the sneaky Daon's sly advances..and is it just me, or does Daon like to propose that he and TK spend time together when Shin Woo is around to hear what he's saying?
Wow, when you start thinking about it, this could get really nasty, especially since we already have hot soup flying around in the cafeteria.
to be fair, the final episodes in the original were about the same and they were similarly criticized. as a remake…
I was sniffing around the In the Sky MDL page and man, a lot of people hate the ending, which I went ahead and spoiled for myself as I didn't care enough not to. I won't be watching ITS because that is exactly the kind of ending I hate the most, especially in BLs. Nothing leads up to it, it makes no sense, it's simply tacked on, because...??? I mean who, among the producers, writers, director, cast though that ending would be a good idea? And then went ahead and made it?
This show isn't deep, but it seems to have a dark subtext.Da On's plastered-on smile reminds me of The Stepford…
I agree about the darkness underlying this series. That's what I like most about it. Someone could pull a weapon at any time and I wouldn't be surprised.
Liking this one very much. It has an odd/slightly creepy under-vibe, as though Shin Woo might lose it and bring an assault weapon to school or something. And TK is just enough off-base that with him too it feels as though anything might happen.
I really enjoy the filter-less Shi Woon also. Always makes me laugh. Daon, now that I think about it, also seems to not be quite what he seems...something weird about him too.

I just realized that I was so annoyed with the last part of the original "Ossan's Love" that I wrote off and never watched Osann's Love In the Sky. I think I remember the scenario sounding stupid to me so I just skipped it. Maybe I should check it out.
