Born in a forgotten land where no spiritual roots were ever meant to exist, he was branded weak, destined for obscurity. Mocked, cast aside, and treated as worthless, the world saw nothing in him. Yet hidden deep within lies a spiritual root unlike any other, a power so unique and absolute it defies the heavens themselves. His path begins in silence and humiliation, but through relentless cultivation and battles that shake the earth, he will rise to reveal his true destiny to become the most powerful existence the world has ever known.
But I'll give this story a pass if he reaches the Nascent Soul cultivator by the end of this show. But if there are more seasons, i must see him reaching immortal ascension. Otherwise, what's the point.
How boring it would be if he was a badass from day 1 and there was no growth moving forward. The series would…
No, that's not what im saying. This would've been better:

I don't know what Donghua means. I'm just here for the show. But he seems weak and only cares about cultivation and himself. Not that it makes him bad, but i don't like that type of character.

That's no fun. They've taken away the best bits. An all power ML and romance. That's why all these xianxia dramas do so well. They stick to the basics. And it works. What's the point of this when there's no romance and a ML with no spiritual root and no power relying on tools. I prefer a Superman, not a Batman.
I agree. The only thing i like about this is the first 5 episodes and harem, but there's no romance, so that ends that. Do you know of any dramas like this but with a strong powerful ML with a unique spiritual root that beats all instead of this weakling ML that needs to rely on artifacts and elixirs to win?
What a weak ML. He's forced to rely on artifacts, talismans and elixirs to win. He can't even use his own cultivation because he's such a weak and useless character.
This was going really well until he failed the test in episode 6. He was rejected because he has a fake spiritual root. I dropped it immediately because I'm not interested in a weak ML. I thought he would've had a unique spiritual root, the most powerful out all the cultivators. It's a shame. I was really enjoying this. Can anyone recommend a drama like this but with a strong and powerful ML?
I dunno, the donghua anime is divided into clear arcs where the division seems to be Han Li teleports to a new…
So does this show actually wrap everything up without a cliffhanger? I’ve heard the ending is a cliffhanger, which means nothing really gets resolved and you’re left waiting, sometimes for years. That’s why I don’t like investing in shows that don’t give you a proper resolution.
I'm still waiting for all seasons to be released before i start watching the series, although I've watched season 1 by mistake, thinking it was only 1 season.
I thought this was only one season. This isn't like Joy of Life, where we need to wait like 10 or more years for all seasons to be released? If that's the case, I'll probably stop watching this for now until everything's wrapped up. I can't wait that long between seasons then forget what happens when they decide to release another season.
