Agreed! A lot of dramas get viewed based on hype. It's better to read the reviews and the summary before jumping into the watching them.

Oshin, GTO, Beach Boys. While Condor Heroes, Journey to the West and Kamen Rider were also something I enjoyed then I don't think they have aged as well as the former three. Itazura na Kiss was also a huge hit that spawned many versions over the years kind of like Hana yori Dango and Trick was such a novel concept when it came out. Clearly too many shows to count! ^^
Btw was Gokusen not popular on MDL? I remember it was a huge hit in the early 2000's....

I agree with what you've said and I felt like this was a complete turnabout with respect to their character settings as well. It's like they are back to square one where they initially met and kept secrets from each other rendering their progress over the past 8 or so episodes irrelevant.
