Please don't spread rumors, both the production and Gagaoolala have denied editing such scenes and turning them into a “bromance”. The series will not be canceled. Episode 11 will be released tomorrow. It was rather reworked because the editing of episode 10 was criticized. Furthermore, as far as I know, the intimate scene of episode 10 was extended in the Korean release. So exactly the opposite of censorship. So you can relax :)

Well, there's not much more we can do. Except perhaps observe whether such activities are repeated if there is no purge. If it is suspicious activity, it will probably be noticed during one of the next purge and hopefully fixed. One community manager assumes the other case (“I believe the ones that got purged were mass bot 10s, but people seem to ignore that.”). I'll accept the reasoning for now.

So one theory for me would be that bot accounts (also e.g. recently created) have been created to upvote the series. Mass voting works both ways. That would be a valid explanation for me in principle and therefore the rating drop for current series would be understandable for me. However, in connection with the rating drops of the other (mostly very successful) BLs, which ended months ago and in which 3 of the top 4 rated BLs are affected, but the 4th is not affected at all, I find it kind of strange. Because I would assume that these invalid accounts also rated the 4th. Also, all invalid accounts must have rated exactly the same BLs, if I'm not mistaken, as all affected BLs (over 20 we have collected here) have slipped in the same range of 0.3-0.4 points.

I asked in support, so I have the info of the invalid accounts. I also asked whether these are also old, unused ones, as “I feel you linger in the air” is affected, for example. Released in 2023 and all this time stable 8.9/8.8 in the rating and now basically 8.5. I.e. the ratings must be years old.

"I don't know anything about those specific issues. We usually do a purge every 3-6 months based on suspicious activity. They're usually all related, but sometimes it doesn't have enough of an effect to impact the ratings." This was the admin's response to the observation I just described.

On the one hand, the invalid accounts are a solid justification for me, on the other hand, I still find the rating drop of the series very strange, despite everything, because it seems so targeted.

When it comes to ratings, IMDB is the better choice. Even if the good reviews are devalued there, at least the IMDB algorithm ensures that the series receives a more objective overall rating. This is because mass downvotes would be filtered out to a certain extent there, in addition the votes of the users have a different weighting and many do not know how to increase their vote weight or even know that the votes are weighted differently 😉 and so the good reviews have many thumbs down, but the series is still currently at 9.1 😂 (if this is the peak, the series will level off at 8.8+/-0.1)

But yes, knowing that even if there was active mass downvoting on MDL, the votes wouldn't be deleted (as mentioned in the comment above yours), the rating here is actually kind of pointless. (Not that I've been taking it seriously for a long time. For me it shows at most a tendency and for Thai BLs I always deduct at least 0.5 points)

FYI: Initial feedback revealed that numerous invalid accounts were deleted yesterday. This may have affected the rating (at least for RL and Desire).

I wrote to support earlier and was told that many invalid accounts were deleted yesterday. So it could be related to that. However, that would only explain RL and ABO Desire ratings. I'll wait and see if another explanation emerges.

I find your statement full of double standards when you give HIStory4: Close to you an 8*, where emotional and physical abuse is romanticized. While the ML here gave the questionable "permission" (and his behavior isn't romanticized), he didn't physically commit the act. Unlike the protagonist in HIS4, who abused his stepbrother.

Dear all, I've submitted a request to support regarding the BL ratings. If you notice any other BLs whose ratings have dropped this much over time, please add them there. I hope the issue will now be addressed and we'll get some clarity so we don't blame each other or certain fan groups.

I think they're handling French well and getting better with each episode. I think French is even more of a challenge for native Thai speakers (because the pronunciation is so different) than it was for me, for example, when I learned French in school. It took me a long time to really get it right back then (and then I fell in love with the language). I find Inn's performance quite impressive. Who knows how long he's been learning French... And I don't expect to hear a perfect foreign language, be it French or English or Korean or something else. Because even if it were the opposite version, I would have deep respect for a French person speaking Thai in a film. I just think it's great how they make an effort to work interculturally and deliver a fresh concept. So I value the courage to take on this challenge more than perfection :)
