Wow, they devalued Our Youth too? That's bad. I would have thought with RL that the devaluation was also due to homophobia, precisely because it is so successful in China. When I watched the ratings on IMDB, I could see downgrades in the RL rating from a completely different country, which made me wonder why 16 of the 17 1* ratings at the time came from one country. (And I assume even more now, but the country is no longer among the 5 countries with the most ratings)
And sorry, but Jack & Joker as the highest rated BL on MDL now? I like Yin & War but realistically, it's just not the best series.

Yeah, I don't think I really immerse myself in the ABO universes. I bump into these categories that have different power and serve certain clichés. With Desire, however, this is sometimes broken up in my eyes. An Omega pretends to be a Beta because his love interest Alpha hates Omegas. And the Enigma is probably the most powerful and mysterious and is so powerful that he is far stronger than Alphas. The Enigma's love interest is an S-Alpha, who in turn has a thing for delicate Omegas, which is why the Enigma slips into the role of an Omega. Only to impregnate the S-Alpha later. Because Enigmas can impregnate anyone 😅😂 It's all kind of confusing. But I think it's good so far that they're breaking up the roles. And the one playing Enigma is just really, really good. Switches effortlessly between “being the most powerful” and “being the most tender” and is so over the top in his sweetness that it's like a predator feeding on its prey. I'll see if the story continues to amuse me (I'm especially waiting for the time when the S-Alpha has to tell his Alpha friends that he's pregnant) or if it reaches a cringe factor that makes me die off...
Have never had any exposure to ABO and am skeptical for reasons (mainly because people are categorized) But I watched the first 3 episodes of Desire and I have to say they were entertaining and interesting and the actor playing the Enigma character is really good, he seems dangerous even in his innocence.
Apart from that, all I can say is: I've seen Arnold Schwarzenegger get pregnant in a movie, so anything is possible for me 😅

I didn't think the first episodes were that good. It got better for me with episode 3, and from episode 4 onwards I thought it was good. Episodes 4-8 are the strongest for me. I think the flow is good in the episodes and the chemistry has been developing between the characters ever since and that definitely carries the show. I personally didn't like the editing in episode 10, there were too many jumps and it was difficult for me to follow the plot. I felt like I had to read the novel to fill in the gaps. I therefore welcome the revision and hope that it will flow more smoothly again like the previous episodes. But as I said, the strength of the series in my eyes are the 4 main characters. Especially Xu Ning in combination with Zi Yu. Especially with the latter, I didn't know what to make of him after the first few episodes. But damn, he really blossoms and his smile lights up the room. So I would advise you to watch at least 4, better 6 episodes. They're easy to watch.

I think the portrayal of him is really well done. He has the charisma of a spider or a predator that lures its victim into a trap. He's so cute that he radiates danger. And then the duality! Really, he's a joy to watch.
The first episodes were good, even if I was skeptical beforehand as to whether the Omegaverse would appeal to me (sorting people by class usually has a bland aftertaste for me). But so far I like it and think the foundation laid is good and clever for an exciting series. Especially the breaking of this classification by giving the S-Alpha what he doesn't really want in life.
