chai jidan herself said this drama will upload no matter what, theres no reason to panic
Yeah, also read that her post was deleted, so panic set in that there won't be an episode on Monday. At least from what I saw yesterday. Ultimately, however, we can only wait and see.

This proves the rumor to be true. That already flickered through the air yesterday. It was suspected partly because…
Mmh, I'm not that familiar with Chinese dramas, so it's news to me that they can be put on hold for so long. I also read something about it supposedly being banned, at the same time there's discussion about whether it could be released internationally only... I haven't really dived into the discussion though. I'd just honestly like to see it because I really love Heaven Official's Blessing. Plus, I saw that TXN is in it too :)

And with everything else, we can only wait and see what happens anyway. Basically, I'm positive about RL. Like you say, it's only being released internationally and I think they're just trying to protect the cast....

And yes, yes, that impressed me a lot ๐Ÿ˜‰

To see you so optimistic for once ๐Ÿ˜„

As I said, I also think they're taking it down and editing it to protect the cast, especially TXN (Especially when it comes to WSW finally getting involved with CC) and maybe to calm tempers and bring calm to the chaos of the last few weeks.

The On1y One thing just broke my heart and the pain is still there (because I'm still secretly hoping) ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ

Edit: and honestly, if it serves to protect the actors, I have nothing against editing.

Edit 2: Eternal Faith (Heaven Official's Blessing) was also filmed in 2021 and has not been released since. I only found out this week. So that wouldn't necessarily be an argument for optimism.

My The On1y One wound is still not healed and hurts. I couldn't take another sting either ๐Ÿ˜ข
But, being fundamentally optimistic, I'm just going to assume they just want to bring calm to the chaos (and possibly edit to protect the cast, especially TXN)

Viu's comment : Broadcasting is canceled as per the agency's announcement. knock me out rn
This proves the rumor to be true. That already flickered through the air yesterday. It was suspected partly because Chai Ji Dan deleted a post a few days ago where she posted something like the series will definitely be broadcast. Someone here had shared the post once, I don't remember the exact wording...

Hopefully they're just trying to cool things down after the plane incident, among other things, made such waves...

I just hope I don't experience another disaster like The On1y One ๐Ÿ˜“

I havenโ€™t watched the show yet, but I stumbled upon two videos of the actors crying, red-eyed. Just, clearly…
I've also seen some videos that have been sent to me because of my series algorithm. I have the impression that I'm watching TXN break down further and further. And while the other videos of the last few days were already bad (as you described), I saw one today that deeply disturbed me. Shaking, with tears and pure fear on his face. And honestly, I don't want to see these pictures. Firstly because I know he must be in a very bad way, and secondly because I know these images were filmed by people who were right there and maybe even the cause. And instead of somehow protecting him, they're sticking the camera in his face... I see new abysses of people every day and I don't know how to feel about it. But I think watching his work and appreciating it is a way to show him respect, because that's what he wants to be known for, not for what happens to him... But knowing how he's doing in real life has really overshadowed how I watch the show.

I just wish he could breathe freely again and feel lightness in his life. It's crazy that he should be the happiest person because of his success and he's experiencing hell on earth right now.

I hate cnetz or more like chinese sasaeng type fans so much, they rlly need to seek mental help
I also think: Turn on your head... I mean unlike the sasaengs, Cnetz are impressive when they use their skills for positive things. But the things I've read today about TXN without having access to Chinese platforms... and at the end of the day, it's only happening because of malicious rumors! I just hope he holds out....

me too, lee do hyun Or cha eun woo would be perfect for jin woo's role
Oh, Lee Do Hyun wasn't even on my radar yet. But you're right, I could actually imagine that really well. (I immediately saw Cha Eun Woo as Jinwoo)

I think it will be challenging for Byeon Woo Seok. Not necessarily in terms of acting, but rather whether he manages to come close to the image of Jinwoo that many people have in their heads. And thus be able to convince the fanbase. I think visually, the majority would probably lean more towards Cha Eun Woo...
It's going to be a really big thing for Netflix. I think they're planning on a success like One Piece. For people who don't know the manhwa or the anime and/or are Byeon Woo Seok fans, it will be easier to accept the choice and look forward to the movie adaptation. But will it manage to win over the die-hard Solo Leveling fans? It's a huge challenge to fulfill this responsibility and I think he will feel the pressure. And either the live-action adaptation will be an absolute hit or it will be totally torn apart. I have the impression there will be nothing in between...

I'm looking forward to the realization and hope it convinces me...
On Solo Leveling Jul 10, 2025
So folks, the role of Sung Jin Woo is now officially cast. Netflix has secured the rights to the live-action adaptation, with Byeon Woo Seok playing the lead role...

I like him as an actor, he can play dark and nice roles. However, I don't find him suitable for this role. So I don't really know what to think about this decision...

Just noticed something hilarious in the early episode's where WSW asked CC if he will sell his car to him. CC…
You forgot to mention that WSW wanted the car for 50000 and in episode 10 Shuai told him he got it for 50000 ๐Ÿ˜‚ and so he sold out himself to CC ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I wonder if he remembers that?

Aired On: Monday, Tuesday
That's exactly how it works. This Monday (7.7.) came episode 9, on Tuesday (8.7.) episode 10 was aired. On 14.7. we get episode 11 and on 15.7. episode 12.
The exception was the start of the series. There were 2 episodes on Monday and 2 episodes on Tuesday. So 4 in total.
What's confusing you?

Favorite scene from Episode 10 WSWxYue Yue showdown was so good. First of all, it did not overstay it's welcome.…
Considering that maybe 4 months had already passed when WSW drunkenly kept CC company on his ex's birthday (WSW and YY's breakup was 6 months ago), then what all happened in between until WSW was hospitalized. The hospital stay which was also very long, the opening of the business and and and, I would think CC must have not had sex for at least 12 months and that must be pure hell for a hypersexual man.

anybody have good recommendations for what to watch while we wait for the next episodes?
I took a quick look at your list... :)

I'd recommend my favorites to you:
- Miseinen: Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu (JBL)
- I Told Sunset About You (Thai BL)
- We best love No 1 and No 2 (Taiwan, enemies to lovers trope)
- The On1y One (Taiwan, but unfinished due to open ending and a missing 2nd season. The production company ruined everything and so many are left frustrated. Still one of the very best series for me. Small happy ending after episode 8 (you could stop there) or stop after episode 11 (beautiful aesthetic final scene). I recommend episode 12 if you don't mind going back to it torn and hanging in the air, but would advise you to watch the last episode 2 times, as it ends on a positive note, which is overshadowed by the first feelings).

I actually have the impression that they waited to see how the episode would go... I don't know how much truth there is in this speculation, but it would make sense, since the big hype or the wave of complete attention is over and it could go under the radar...

What I also find a bit strange about the series, for example, is that IMDB always had 7.7 as the start date. It's only been possible to rate the individual episodes since that date. I never noticed that anywhere before. (So I don't know if it's unusual)

if china is gonna start making BL like this one where rape "jokes" and rape threatening is normalised within the…
The critical view of homophobia should be directed at the entire genre, not just China.
When I think that I just read the other day that a leading actor is not pretty and hot enough, too small and weak to be the counterpart of another actor. (Here in the comment section at the beginning there were statements like โ€œZi Yu looks like a 15 year old, couldn't have been chosen differentlyโ€) When I see the standards for Thai BL actors and when I think of how last year Benjamin Tsang was called visually ugly and unsuitable for the role in the On1y One, although he is a really brilliant actor. Or how openly gay actors are sometimes treated in the industry. Then I think that a critical look should not only be directed at homophobia in works (industry) but also at the audience. I find it very frightening that men who do not conform to certain beauty ideals should not be represented. In addition, there is the stereotyping, big (strong, masculine) man = top, smaller (weak, feminine) man = bottom... Does this really represent the gay community? Do homosexual men find themselves in these roles? I think it's a long way to go, considering the origins of the genre...And there are certainly different opinions on whether and how the BL genre should change in terms of topics.

Edit: Seeing that you rated HIStory 4, with pretty much the most problematic plot I've ever seen (emotional and physical abuse, rape carried out, which then ends in a โ€œhappyโ€ relationship/marriage. Rape is not love! ) with a 7.5, then I actually think you're displaying quite a lot of double standards here!

My goodness, wow. Are you trying to insult me right now? Because I responded to a comment in a nuanced way? Because I point out the complexity of a character?

No one is talking about apologizing for his actions here. I have made it clear that he has a problematic character. I point out causes for his behavior. No excuses. Incidentally, precisely because I have a high emotional intelligence and, incidentally, can read people very well and like to watch series from a psychological point of view... You can reject his character and his actions. Nevertheless, there are reasons for them, even if they are not humanly justifiable. But his motives are part of the cinematic representation and the understanding and interpretation of the series. Even if you close your eyes and are not interested in his motives. You're looking at the series purely from your emotions. I look at it rationally from a different perspective here. I'm discussing it on a different level than you are. So come down a bit. Incidentally, WSW's behavior is also very problematic from a human point of view. I'm not personally interested in your rating.
