Agreed, as example J bl Our Youth was THE highest rated bl on mdl at 8.9 now suddenly its down to 8.6!
Yes, I thought I'd ask support. Maybe it's a bug... I think we definitely need clarity from MDL on this. At the very least, I don't want to cast general suspicion on a group of fans anymore.

Yes :( I thought we'd collect everything we notice and then ask support if it's a bug? Because I have to say now, I don't want to blame Thai fans if they might be wrongly suspected and accused at this point. Because ultimately, we shouldn't stir each other up. What's noticeable is that Revenged Love and Desire are the only ones who have slipped from 15th to 16th, and perhaps there's a different cause. But I think for the sake of peace in the BL community, we need some kind of clarity from MDL here.

The good thing about IMDB is that they have a special algorithm that prevents review bombing as much as possible, since user ratings are weighted differently. However, very few people bother to research how the algorithm works ;)

Actually, they should. When I look at the statistics, many of them had ratings drop between 12.7 and 13.7. But with RL, it's noticeable because it's being broadcast. But in my opinion, MDL should actually see and investigate such unusual activity, even without us drawing attention to it...

To me, the more you look at it, the more it gives the impression that there are people who want to see very specific BLs at the top and if IFYLITA, is the only very highly rated ThaiBL that is devalued, it unfortunately gives me the impression that Jack & Joker fans have something to do with it.... Haha, I see we have similar tastes :D Our Youth and The On1y One are my all time favorite BLs. And I also really like the others you listed, except Gel Boys and Unknown, which I haven't seen yet. (But I should probably change that sometime :) ) My top 4 favorites include Our Youth, The On1y One, I Told Sunset About You and We Best Love.
And I agree with what you say about the acting. In Thailand, in my opinion, the focus is very much on the look of the actors, which, together with the ships and the focus on NC scenes, I find more and more fetishized and objectified. But the series that makes a good impression on me right now is Memoir Of Rati, a historical BL that dares to focus on content... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the script holds up.

My Taiwanese hidden gem is DNA says: Love you. I think the story and the character Amber are very precious. JBLs also satisfy my intellect with their uniqueness. I had imagined the series to be something completely different, somehow with a lot of cleverness. I watched it after the first episode in the same way I used to watch the old Batman series. It was slapstick for me and I could laugh. But then after episode 7 I died off. When I then compare the ratings with JBLs, which for me are at the top in terms of creativity, uniqueness and storytelling, but only hover around 8 +/- in the ratings, then something is wrong with the BL rating system for me. Even if I compare, for example, Jack & Joker (8.8) with I told sunset about you (8.1), whereby the latter is the best Thai BL for me. And there are a few good Thai BLs, but with the mass of BLs being produced, the really good ones are few and far between and usually rated lower. And I have to say, if I want to see a BL that is likely to be good, I look in other countries first.

Does it make sense to devalue a series you love with bad reviews because you think you were informed too late/not enough about the rework or a comment about the delay hurt them? All they're doing is hurting the actors who love them and put the hard work into the show....
This series had a very deserved 8.9 rating until 3 days ago, when it suddenly dropped to 8.5 from July 12 to 13! It was ranked #1 in the BL ratings on MDL for a long time, well deserved! I hope MDL fixes the issue! To everyone else who is interested in the series, I can only say: Watch it, it's wonderful!
