These were 2 solid first episodes. Kwon Jungwoo has charisma... The gazes... penetrating, engaging. I'm excited to see how it develops. The relationship characters seem stereotypical but are quite cute together. I find the combination of Han Ji Won, super shy, mega successful, interesting and entertaining... So let's go.

I found the current episode kind of meaningless. It felt like a filler episode...
What I liked was the insight into Charan's mother's storyline. And somehow I still hold on to my theory that Charan could be a Meenanakarin and Prince Wasin could therefore be Charan's father...

The storyline of Ramil and Paytai doesn't give me anything personally. I've been observing this in myself for the last few episodes. It seems deliberate to me, but not well done. A well implemented BDSM storyline or a non-consent connection could be interesting. But here I feel zero. Whether the couple is there or not makes no difference to me. Sorry to everyone who loves the couple. It just doesn't catch me and I don't feel any connection at all. And their type of relationship doesn't add anything to the overall story for me so far. So it just seems exploitative to me so far. In other words, audience loyalty through “sex sells.”

I would have preferred to see Calvin and Jay as the second couple. Those two caught me right away despite their short screen time. But this week? Nothing of the two of them together. For sure we'll see the two early next episode, but yeah, disappointing that their storyline wasn't even worth a minute this week.

At least the episode ended with Charan and Khanin's tender and emotional togetherness and Khanin was a bit sassy again this week, which is refreshing.

So for me this episode was only interesting for about 10 mins. I think they could have made the episode more interesting. I hope the next episode picks me up more.

They are such cuties, and I’m excited to see there story more, because they were barely in the novel ❤️
Oh, really? I haven't read the novel... Then I really hope they expand their story and we see more of these two. I think they're really cute together too....

It was only a few minutes with Calvin and Jay, but they completely captivated me... I just want to see more of them...

I also think the family tree is getting more and more convoluted and the thought that Khanin's mother was killed…
I have oddsare listed a few more thoughts in a comment if you are interested. Ever since the thought came to me, it hasn't let go of me either.... It just seems to me that the king doesn't do anything without a plan.

Yes, that's exactly what I think. The king is totally calculating, there must be a reason why he's adopting Charan. And let me put it this way, I haven't found the king to be particularly charitable. He would only take such a step if it would benefit him. We've also seen that he ice-coldly lies to Khanin about Thatdanai, because otherwise his control would slip away. And through the adoption, the king has Charan's absolute obedience and subservience. And wouldn't that be powerful if Prince Wasin Meenanakarin's descendant had been subjugated and the power of the house had been cut off? I just remembered, didn't they say something like Prince Wasin is the best swordsman during the introduction? I'm not sure. But Charan is also one of/the best fighter/s...

And that's what I meant. Why are there no spouses at all? We know from Khanin's mother and Prince Wasin Meenanakarin's wife that they are dead. But has anything been said about the others? Afterwards, the women are still alive and trapped somewhere...

from his TikTok I see he is completely different from his characters. Seems like a down to earth guy who can't…
Haha, no, I've seen that too :)
It's often the case that the nicest people can play the biggest villains... I can well imagine that he's a cool dude. But he has that look with his big eyes that make him the perfect villain...

I'm seriously loving the acting from Aon. between this and My Sweetheart Jom he's just popped up from nowhere…
Haha, I just started My Sweetheart Jom and thought the exact same thing.... Crazy Guy is everywhere right now and it just suits him too well!
On The Bangkok Boy May 25, 2025
I take a quick look at "My sweetheart Jom" without any expectations and who do I discover? Crazy Guy Aim 😂 Since he has a similar role, it seems like I'm seeing another facet of the Bangkok Boys universe... Crazy Guy is everywhere 😂

(Spoilers ahead – just my late-night thoughts as I try to make sense of everything that unfolded in this episode.…
I also think the family tree is getting more and more convoluted and the thought that Khanin's mother was killed because of her lineage and not by the Buchongphisut also occurred to me yesterday.
Today it even occurred to me afterwards that who knows if Prince Wasin Meenanakarin doesn't have a descendant after all. We know nothing about his deceased partner. (I also just noticed that there is no royal partner to be seen, are they all dead?)
And I thought to myself, could Charan perhaps be a Meenanakarin? I mean, why was he adopted by the king? you could at least prevent some things by adopting him... and blue would look good on him :D
(But maybe I just didn't realize that)

Oh, that was a visually stunning episode, from the ball to the mountains. Great, that makes my eyes happy! I love it every time I get to see some great landscape shots. The ball was also very well staged... Finally sassy Khanin is back and embarrasses Charan... very cute 😁 I was thinking today: oh yeah, your kiss in episode 1 sealed everything anyway 🤭 Plus Chakri is a sweetheart as he creates an opportunity for both and is happy. Hihi!

So we have some kind of uncle-nephew relationship here? Also kind of wild 😅

With the preview for next week, I already know I'll probably be all into Jay and Calvin.... Looking forward to it.

Yes, I'm really looking forward to seeing how it develops. They really need to work on the balance. To be honest, I still think the cast is absolutely fantastic. The production just didn't manage to get all the strengths out of it. I think team-building games or high rewards in prison could have compensated for the weaknesses you mentioned... The production just didn't get it right.

"Wow, this is really the first time PD Jeong Jong-yeon has dropped out of a program in the middle;; I think Yoon So-hee is more negative than Hyun-gyuㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"

I don't know if that's true. But it would explain to me why the season started so incredibly strong and then started to plummet halfway through.

I don't think personal attacks on the players are good. In my opinion, you can criticize the way he played (I've done that enough), but to relate that to his personal relationships or even wish him dead is just not on.

At the end of the day, he played the way the production allowed him to. That's why you have to criticize the production. They have created an imbalance through their decisions and this way of playing.

Let's say, for example, that the production had converted the number of all (individual) games won per person into pieces. Eun Yu would have had a completely different starting position and the final might have been her against HG. In many ways, the production could have made sure that the best active games players were fighting towards the end. As it was, they allowed the best alliance-building players to advance. And in episode 11, it was just obvious who was going to win.

HG and SH played according to the permitted rules. Personally, I was frustrated that they hardly played any games (and only together) and made it to the final, while the players with the most games played had virtually no chance. For me personally, there should be a final at the end where the best active games players face each other. But the production also allows for other things.

I think everyone has a different attitude/expectation of the show. I love board games/exit games and my expectation is that someone who (also) battles it out alone, takes risks (has been in prison at least once), completes many of the games and survives at the end in an unpredictable final. Some celebrate the alliance building and manipulation. It's too boring for me because it was too much and too often.

I watch TDP mainly because of the variety of games and because I want to see these games played out. That's what makes the show unique for me
Others might find it totally boring and want more interpersonal drama.

The question is. What direction will the production take? What do they want to show? I think there will be a third season, but that will be the deciding factor as to whether it continues.

Worst survival show I've ever watched.
Oh then apparently you haven't seen "Don't Hate the Player" or "The Trust"... 😅

Because I can still see it:
"just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean I'm trying to make myself look better..." It's the nature of your unobjective argumentation. I have some interesting interlocutors on MDL with whom I can have very controversial discussions, but they discuss objectively and don't try to devalue the other person because they have no other arguments! So bye.

Just one more thing, you should perhaps look into what an "Advocatus Diaboli" really is.

😂😂😂 Oh yes, and again you try to go to the personal level to devalue... and you make up some confused theses and interpretations of them in the hope of hitting me or making yourself look better. It doesn't work. You're not arguing rationally at all, you're being very emotional. So calm down. That I made a statement about my EQ and IQ was only due to your inconsistent reasoning about it.
You simply don't have any factual arguments.... Since the comment section gives room to discuss, I'm also discussing whether this season or next.
Otherwise I think there is no point in communicating further, we are discussing on different levels and an interesting discussion is impossible. So ciao ✌️

It's a good thing that both my IQ and EQ are very high. Your comparison and your statement don't add up.

The Devil's Plan only means that you are faced with diabolical decisions, it does not tell you how you have to act in order to win. It is up to the participants to decide how to act. And it doesn't mean you have to manipulate and control people or cheat. That is an individual player decision. And depending on how you play, this generates approval and criticism from viewers. As a player, you simply have to come to terms with that. (If you only want to accept encouragement and not criticism, you don't react rationally, but very emotionally). The aim of the show is not simply to show "how ruthless humans can be". The fact that players show themselves like this is their decision and the fact that you see social problems in the game is more of a side effect...

There are different types of players, so they approach the game differently. My favorite type of player is represented by Justin. In my experience, they play the most interesting, exciting and fair games. Am I sad that he was eliminated? Yes. Did I know his chances of winning were small? Yes. He's still my favorite even after his elimination, and I didn't begrudge a few other players the win. The player characteristics that So Hee and Hyungyu have shown in the last few episodes are just not mine. In episode 11, it was clear who was going to win. I found the last 3 contestants uninteresting and moved on. That's it.

My main criticism is with the production. They didn't balance the season. Because the living area was boring. They just played the main games where they were basically at an advantage because of the pieces. There was no main game where everyone just had to play for themselves and work out their own progress. While the prison inmates were at a disadvantage and had no chance to improve on their own. The production also didn't create any circumstances to break up the camps and the game for the semi-final was just ridiculous, they could have left it alone.

And again, the argument that it's called The Devil's Plan and not The Angel's Plan is simply weak, because the name doesn't refer to the players but to the masked man.
