You guys need to get rid of that: It's a GMM series thing and have prejudice about their series. 3 out of 4 series…
I don't quite know what you're trying to tell me? I'm not prejudiced against GMMTV per se. I've had criticisms of some of the recent series in terms of scripts and execution, precisely because I had high expectations. And I didn't just abandon their series either. Wandee Goodday, by the way, is one of my favorite shows, even though it gets ripped apart by many. So I don't know why you're accusing me of being prejudiced? I just didn't find the series interesting for me personally in the introduction round, I was also more focused on Revamp. And I personally didn't like the quality of GMMTV's series in the last six months/quarter. Which for me was down to the scripts and execution. In addition, I watched a BL in the last half of 2024 that really captured me, that was very well-rounded for me in everything and against which I measured other works. But since it has become an all-time favorite of all genres for me, many things can't stand up next to it (and not just in the BL area). That's why I'd like to know what you mean by your comment? Do you want to know what my requirements are for BLs so that I like them? What are you trying to tell me by saying that 3 out of 4 of your series are from GMM? Isn't that good? GMM simply gets praise from me for ThamePo after my review. I'm enjoying the series that wasn't on my radar. That's it.
Honestly, I didn't actually have ThamePo on my watch list... When GMMTV announced the series, I was like: nah, not in the mood. I read a lot of comments here in the forum that were waiting for it. I have to say, though, that I've had a lot of problems with GMMTV series in the last few months and actually haven't finished a BL since the end of September. At some point halfway through I always crashed. So I switched to other genres for the time being. Now I started ThamePo the day before yesterday out of boredom and I'm glad I was able to bingewatch 9 episodes 😅 William and Est are super cute. Great chemistry between the two of them. Luckily no love triangle either. The cinematography is very aesthetic (color design of the costumes, environment, light). The script is "simple" and clear. I think that's good. I remember the scene where Po is in the band house and leafing through Dylan's diary. Man, how good it was that there was no background music, but the moment was really silent. I enjoy the decisions of the writers and directors.
The Jun actor looked so familiar to me, but when I checked his bio, he didn't have any series in it. I wondered where I knew him from and realized that he totally reminded me of Bilkin... I'm now looking forward to the final episodes and keeping my fingers crossed that the series continues so smoothly (although I'm still worried that a 5 year stint abroad will follow at the end 😅). In fact, this is a show that I would love to see more than 12 episodes as it stands now, as there is more thematic potential in my opinion. William and Est definitely have a little place in my heart. I hope we get to see them more often...

Yes, I would also wait until the last minute. Wouldn't want to take a place away from anyone who might go. They are more important... In my mind, it would just be a way to show support if the fan meeting isn't sold out by the end. Wouldn't it also send a message to the crew: we see you and support you unconditionally or am I looking at it the wrong way?
I've been a huge fan of Ohm since 2016. No one can convince me that this show/performance is on par with what…
That's the big problem with GMMTV and I feel like I'm repeating myself in every comment section. They have so many great actors and so much room for improvement with the scripts. To me, a lot of things point to the fact that they have a big problem writing good scripts and are less and less creative. It seems to me that they think: as long as we have hot actors, everything will be consumed and bought... But if even Ohm can no longer manage to generate good ratings, they should really wake up.
It's such a shame for him and the cast, but also for the other actors of GMMTV. What could this be with an innovative concept. It could be so great. I dropped Kidnap a couple episodes ago. I'm sorry for the cast. But I can't do it anymore. And I'm really worried about Revamp, which I'm so waiting for, and Heartkillers. Had high expectations for Kidnap too....
Phew, that's another really tough voting.... 😅 I find it very difficult to decide. I'll probably play it more often 🤭
I think the most emotionally beautiful kiss for me was the one between Teh and Oh-aew underwater in I told sunset about you... But I also liked Phaya and Tharn from The Sign.
HELP this little gem of a drama get a 2nd season !Let's all sign the official petition (on Change.org) to make…
Thanks to our community member CHD23, who is the initiator of the petition 😁 Nice to see that more and more people are finding the petition even after a long time and that it is therefore mentioned here again and again. 🤗 Thank you!
Oh shit, this is perfect 😭.I've been hesitant to watch it because I've read that the ending probably isn't…
The series is wonderful and indeed a masterpiece. Just enjoy it! In my opinion, you have to let the ending sink in and look at it from a distance. I would perhaps advise you to watch the ending twice at a distance. The first time I was stuck in my feelings for a few hours. The second time I was able to perceive all the symbolism, metaphors and undertones. Personally, I think the ending is fitting. I could even imagine that it's an advantage that you bingewatch it, you'll probably notice a lot more that way...
Watching the show on Viki. The comments from other watchers are really irritating me. People keep asking to sign…
Director Patrick said in an Insta-Live back in September that the script for Season 2 is ready. In my opinion, The On1y One is designed for 2 seasons from the beginning. One of the discussions we had here was that the 1 in On1y already indicates that. Since the series is very symbolic with everything around it, this is quite possible and people who work in the literary field also said that the whole structure points to this.
Director Patrick also spoke very optimistically in his live at the beginning of October and said that filming for Season 2 could start within 5 months.
There is an official Telegram fan group, which was announced on the official Insta page, where it was said that the content of Season 2 could be discussed. Dong Qin also said that he is looking forward to Season 2.
We already know that the cast will not change. As far as I know, it's more a question of financing. Since The On1y One was already extremely devalued at Douban before its release, because the actual target group was not satisfied with the look of the main actors and the series was so well received internationally, the IMDB rating is important. The series had no budget for advertising. Its success was more due to word of mouth. Only now, in retrospect, are international opportunities for support being created. It is certainly also important that the fan meeting is well attended.
My guess is that Season 2 could be officially confirmed at the fan meeting. Some teasers point to this.
The rights for the series are now also with the agency with which Dong Qin is under contract and which was the (main) investor for Season 1. This means that a major hurdle has already been overcome.
I know I shouldn't, but I'm so jealous of the fans who have the chance to attend 🥹👉👈I hope many people…
Thank you ❤️ When I saw the picture, I thought it expressed exactly how I felt about a possible S2... Looking up into the light and staying optimistic that we will see each other again. 🤗 Well and I love the mood of the picture, there is something magical about it....
