I don't think 4 Minutes and The On1y One are comparable at all.
There are people who want to hate the hell out of the show and I don't think they can deal with the fact that the show is loved by many viewers.
I think the only thing that can help is for those who love the show to make it visible and show their support. Then perhaps the video will carry less weight and stand out less in the algorithm.

Furthermore, I don't see that The On1y One is designed for "quick consumption" and will be forgotten in a year. Perhaps the term is used too often on MDL. However, "masterpiece" is appropriate for The On1y One.

I've really never experienced that so blatantly in a series. It makes you wonder why there's a cut version at all.

That kind of ruins the series. 😢On the one hand in terms of content, on the other hand it also destroys the viewing figures at some point if you can't do sooo much with the cut version and in addition the ratings will become bad if you see the cut version alone.

It is about 50 minutes and 15 seconds. That's insane. That's 15 minutes missing. I didn't notice it quite sooo much in the last few episodes, but this time I often found the scenes quite volatile and choppy. I often thought to myself: Huh? Why are we suddenly here now? Something is missing.

Can anyone tell me approximately how many minutes I'm missing by watching the normal YouTube version? I have the feeling that I sometimes miss out on really important scenes 😑

Which drama/book are you talking about? That doesn't sound like this series....
They haven't had a feud in the past nor are the parents getting married. The parents are dating each other and there will be a proposal as far as I know, but they won't be getting married....

Yes, it is. And in my opinion, this kind of behavior can also damage the series that you actually like so much and that is really worth recommending. Somehow that's childish. As I said, recommendations can also be good. In the comments section at Addicted Heroin, a lovely person recommended The On1y One if you like watching something similar and are waiting for the new episode and I followed the recommendation here and am incredibly grateful because for me personally it's the best BL I've seen.
But if I don't like a drama, I just move on. There are so many on the market. I don't have to be jealous of a successful series just because it doesn't suit my taste... That's just what happens.

Yes, and that's really sad. Because good series can also stand side by side. Sometimes they're not even comparable because they deal with completely different topics.

Maybe they can't handle positive comment sections and need some negativity to make them feel better... 😉 I think ignoring is the best way. There's no point discussing with someone who has maybe watched one/two episodes, then drops the show and gives it a bad review. You don't need to convince anyone to watch a series if they have a completely negative attitude towards it. And so they can just move on.

I mean, it's not a bad thing if other series are also recommended. But the question is, do I recommend a series by devaluing another one or do I recommend a series because I think it might suit people's tastes.
