There is no evil brother from the USA π It's ultimately two teenage strangers who become friends because of the situation and develop more feelings for each other, each carrying baggage from the past. But there are no forced actions (exception here maybe a "duty" in a truth or dare game) and no violence between the MLs. The plot develops very slowly. Some viewers will need the first few episodes to get into it. Personally, I enjoy the slow burn and the narrative style. Hearing your opinion on Addicted Heroin, I think you might like it.
is the story plot is same as addicted?reply cause i' gonna give it a shot
No, what's the same is that they are classmates. Their parents are dating, which makes them move in together. Other than that, there aren't really any similarities in my opinion.
Episode 8:All this drama about moving to the dorm "together" and it's A FOUR MAN ROOM? wtf? Doesn't this kind…
I think the detailed scenes with the parents were important. For me, it symbolizes an active end to loads that SW and JT are carrying around with them.
I find it exciting that I read some people who are disappointed with the 4-man dorm. I take a neutral view. It is currently neither positive nor negative for me. Ultimately, the dorm is the place where JT has been most often and it's the closest thing to a home in terms of location. What makes it a real home is SW, which is the emotional component. In my opinion, the roommates will certainly still serve a narrative purpose. That's why they are described as a 4-man room. Maybe the best friend who will protect the couple or the 4th guy who might have a little crush on SW? He at least looked very excited. As well as the story building up around Xi. I think the separate threads will be brought together at the climax.
I do wish MDL would configure the site such that you can't give a series an OVERALL rating until it has completed…
I completely agree with you. I think the rating system could really be improved. I rate the individual episodes and from the halfway point I often give an overall rating. But then I regularly adjust this as the episodes progress. It would be good if you could only rate the individual episodes first, in my opinion this would limit the extreme up- and downvoting. Because you would have to actively rate each week. From episode 3, 4 or later, an overall rating could then be displayed. At the moment, I know that I can't trust ratings for series with huge fandom and anti-fans.
nobody said they Ryan or Jane stayed single during the 5 year jump. Thats the beauty of it. They realized before…
When are they supposed to have realised that? "They realised before the end of the show that their relationship will not work and cannot continue" Ryan said to Jane when they met again: "Then why didn't you reach out? I kept waiting for you." And Tae said to Jane: "Where have you been. My friend was upset for a year. If you leave him again, I'll tell him to find someone else". It's pretty clear that Jane just cut off contact and Ryan waited for him and from Tae's statement, he doesn't seem to have dated anyone else. I don't see from this that they realised their relationship wasn't working nor that they both realised they couldn't continue it. I see: Jane made the decision to leave the day after tomorrow, broke off contact and reappeared after 5 years.
at the end of the last episode hero mentioned his dad and pops mom bought them an apartment to live in
Yes, it seems so. Last week they cut out 15 minutes. Honestly, the cut version makes little sense to me. You realise that essential scenes are missing and there's endless skipping... Only August is keeping me watching, otherwise I would probably have already dropped the series.
Like you were, I was thinking a few weeks ago about the screentime Off & Gun were getting in this series. . .and…
Oh, that's quite a workload. I also have to say that I'm totally fine with ensemble series and enjoy them. From what you've said, I can also understand if both of them don't want the full spotlight.
My main problem with the series is the script. The idea is great, the setting is great, they have a great cast... But the script isn't consistent for me and sometimes feels haphazard and patchy.
The best arc for me was Pah, I felt it was well-rounded, its story was told well and it fitted into the ensemble. Pie was a bit too short for me. Tae and Bahmee was absolute chaos for me, sometimes written one way, then the other and at the end they come back to where they started. And with Jane and Ryan, I somehow missed some of their story together. Also from Ryan himself. For example, his best friend just wasn't there any more.
ok... quick question (well, actually a complaint)... why did Joke give Jack the money on the first episode if…
I don't remember exactly, did Joke know about Jack's debt? My thought then would be: the money from the bar would go to the boss (to pay off the debt and maybe rent for Jack's desired location). That would get Jack out... The stolen notes would fall on the boss and the police would either catch a big fish or let him off the hook through connections. Otherwise, I'd say it might have been more Joke's impulsiveness and Jack just clouding his brain to think π I mean, they were always in their own world when they met and Joke was spontaneously thinking about how to fulfil Jack's wish. Ultimately, they are both each other's weak point.
I think the more normal reaction from Ryan would have been to react like Shu Yi in WBL.
He wouldn't slap him in the face. But come on, if you didn't get in touch for 5 years, but you're actually together, usually talk on the phone for 1 hour a day and have strong feelings for the other person, everyone would be angry and distant at first. If you don't mind 5 years of no contact at all after the sudden departure, then the feelings weren't strong enough and then we would probably have the situation you describe: new relationship/marriage or something like that... the way it's been portrayed now, it's an unhealthy relationship dynamic because somehow Ryan's needs don't matter and he's completely aligned with Jane. My opinion.
Off was honestly so good in this, he's matured a lot as an actor and he deserves better roles. I really noticed…
Thanks for the tip, I'll add it to my list... :) I think Off has done a good job here. ... I liked Ryan more after the time skip, would have liked to see him more that way.

What makes the four man room a buzzkill for you?

And that's a bit my problem with GMMTV at the moment: series start strong and from the middle, I sometimes wonder what happens that it gets so chaotic and then somehow ends with clichΓ© decisions like going abroad and TimeSkip (I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't happen with Kidnap and I'm a bit worried about Ossan's Love).
