This generation with social networks is so bad.Instead of enjoying things naturally, people look for rumours,…
Oh I feel your words! Even though I barely visited this comment section and other SN out of an inner urge to enjoy the last episodes with just me, when I did take a peek, all I read was discontent and hate (now against CJD).... Honestly, I'm glad I can watch it all again in peace now and hopefully this negativity will die down. SN are increasingly tiring me out.
I find the behavior of many disrespectful and abusive. Rumors are simmering, people are complaining that the show is different from the novel. And this despite the fact that the author has previously said it has been revised, that she is distancing herself from the old version and that people should stick to this series version. People feel constantly robbed and always want more NC. And they forget that decisions are made in an artistic process.
I also think that the series has certain flaws, purely in terms of the story (and editing in some episodes). But the actors make up for these weaknesses in my eyes. And the thing that has characterized the last few episodes for me is seeing a couple full of trust and real closeness and intimacy.I have never experienced this kind of intimacy and naturalness between CC and WSW in a BL. The connection radiates authenticity. We see in the BTS between TXN and Zi Yu that they were close and intimate in their connection and they transferred that to the screen in their roles.
Many kissing and NC scenes, for example, don't necessarily make a screen couple seem believable to me. Especially when I realize that intimacy is being portrayed, but I can't feel it.
For me, CC and WSW's relationship goes through three stages: revenge plot (and no feelings from WSW) - (unintentional) infatuation phase - deep connection and real love.
The latter is also quieter and more subtle in real life and you hardly ever see this stage in series. Instead, we see a lot of the infatuation phase and get stuck there. And many see it as “this is what a relationship will always look like”. Just because the focus has shifted from the sexual activities of CC and WSW to the emotional intimacy doesn't mean that the physical intimacy is no longer there. It clearly is. But I personally really liked the focus on emotional intimacy and that is actually a strength of RL for me.
It's sad that the series and those involved have had to experience so much hatred, harassment, pressure and demands on the outside, when narratively it has created such a great balance between lightness and seriousness, comedy and drama. But I have the impression that some people are explicitly looking for something negative. Where there's a lot of light, there's a lot of shadow...
I am currently watching EP2 and wanted to drop it. Should i continue? I am not a fan of romance. I actually love…
Hmm, so in my eyes the series is very much geared towards romance and it's also a rather quiet historical drama. From what you write, I wouldn't think MoR is for you.
If you like heavier themes and less romance (which I somehow find quite difficult in the BL genre 😅), maybe these would suit you better:
- Our Youth - When It Rains, It Pours - Happy of the End (I haven't seen it myself yet, but I've heard it's dark, heavy, sometimes disturbing. I haven't yet been in the mood to devote myself fully to it) - History 3: Make our Days Count - History 3: Trapped - The Bangkok Boy - Until we meet again - Between us - KinnPorsche
I don't know what you've already seen, or what your taste is, so here's a small selection of what came to mind spontaneously. For example, "When It Rains, It Pours" is a heavy drama about relationships/needs, which is more complex in my eyes. "Our Youth" deals with domestic violence, among other things, "Make our days count" has a surprising ending and the series definitely has a certain heaviness to it.
The night everyone is waiting for and a child comes out of - did one or the other mark the other one? (I guess…
If the marking only goes from the stronger to the weaker, i.e. from the enigma to the alpha, I have two questions...
1. did HY mark SSD in the last episode without his knowledge? Because his pheromones glowed when he bit him in the neck (?)
2. why does HY want to be marked by SSD then? Yes, he acts like he's an Omega and he wants to see that SSD only wants him. But if the marking doesn't work from the alpha, the alpha should notice, right?
I might be in the minority but I am not liking SWL-GT track as much as everyone else. I feel like the whole track…
I don't think SWL looks cruel. I rather think he seems like he's not the brightest candle on the cake and that he's very naive. He also seems rather weak to me and that results in his actions, which hurt GT but are unconscious. Because as you say, GT suggests something else to SWL. I think SWL is the most innocent of the 4 so far. For me personally, SWL's hatred of Omegas in GT's case also seems like jealousy that GT still “has someone in his life” who isn't SWL.
I’ve been seeing a lot of C-fans and inter-fans discussing the situation with author Chai Jidan, the director,…
I saw a lot of complaints on IG. And with comments like that there, all I can think of is: 👀... Honestly, I wouldn't necessarily believe these rumors...
After all the actors have been dragged through the mud, now the author is hated to top it off. Since these smear campaigns have been going on throughout the series, I think it's just something else contrived to hurt the show...
It's okay that she changed the character of WSW. Apparently she did with CC too. Besides, she pointed out from the start that she was distancing herself from the novel and that we should just go with the Revenged Love version. Anything else could be coincidence, collusion or fake news. If there's one thing you should learn about broadcasting, it's that you shouldn't jump on every rumor. My impression is that outside parties are trying to damage the show because they couldn't get it banned.
And as for the CNetz complaints, I can only say: the author is free in her art and can adapt it as she wishes!
This ends tomorrow 😭. When we will get another good chinese bl???Any idea when that historical one will get…
You mean “Kill to Love”? I read that it will be released at the end of 2025... Have you watched Advance Bravely? It's censored, but I liked it a lot!
And I can also think of “Meet you at the Blossom”, officially it counts as a Thai BL here, but it's a Thai-China-Taiwan production. (I didn't watch it to the end though)
Also highly praised: “Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island”. But I've only seen 1-2 episodes so far.
Okay, I’m lost. I get the whole ABO universe thing, it’s the main couple that is causing. What the heck is…
In real life, what Hua Yong does would not be a sign of love. In the Omegaverse, he loves him.
I'm confused by the business stuff too. I find it too much sometimes, but at the same time somehow not enough info. But maybe for me it's also because it's on top of the whole omega- we- suppress- our- real- personalities- with- medication- verse.
I don't know what's true. But that sounds logical to me. Since in my opinion such an official announcement is more of a disadvantage for the actors and they would probably run a long term pairing rather low key...
I'm enjoying the last episodes, have a lot of thoughts about them and still can't get them all out there... A little bit I think the show is really trying to incorporate all sorts of clichés. 😅 Like the abduction by a parent. How often have I seen that, irritatingly, in CDramas. But RL somehow manages a really great balance between seriousness and deep feelings (WSW 's mom 🫶, the relationship between the couples and main characters) and a clever wit, which gives the show this lightness... I really like that! Father in Law just seems super sweet and not at all averse to WSW even when he says the opposite. 😅 And yes, the thing that impresses me the most is the tenderness between WSW and CC. It's so natural, so cute. The tender kiss on the roof terrace was a beautiful, honest moment. And to learn that was TXN & ZY's first kiss on set makes it extra special somehow. Oh yes, I'm melting away...🫠 I was just a little confused: Why is CC suddenly a bad cook after serving WSW a feast after their first tryst?
So Hua Yong really shakes my values tree 😅 I can feel the rejection welling up inside me and I'm really glad he's just a fictional character!
The two mega alphas amuse me deliciously. Because they both just seem so weak and naive. 😂 When SWL climbed up and down the wall of the house, I also had the feeling of traveling into the Twilight universe...
My impression is that the story is progressing a bit slowly. I don't know the novel, but they haven't slept together yet (hopefully in Hua Yong's case), no one is pregnant yet, and from what I (unintentionally) overheard, there's still a lot going on, so I wonder if they can cover everything at this pace. Since some topics have been opened up... Especially between HY and SSD, I see everything going in circles after the first episodes. So I'm glad that SWL and GT are making some progress. I actually find the story of the two more interesting at the moment. Hopefully things will develop more between HY and SSD next week...
Today was not a day to be in X . Somebody has just posted the persecution of those crazy people to Elliot and…
Oh man, what a pity that the two of them are now also exposed to such a mob... I hope they are protected and don't end up like the RL cast. It's hard to see them all lose their smiles and I really hope the ABO Desire cast doesn't suffer the same fate...
I'm keeping this on hold till it finishes but the edits on tiktok are driving me crazy😭
Actually, you could start right away. 20 episodes are out, and the final four episodes will be released in the next four days. So you don't have to wait and can finish the drama in real time...
What, we're getting two more episodes today and then one every day until Tuesday? I haven't even managed to watch episodes 17 and 18 yet... I guess I'll probably watch four episodes today 😅
is it homosexual widely accepted in france during that era? maybe both of them can runaway to there together
It wasn't forbidden or punishable, but people still had to contend with prejudice and discrimination. Nevertheless, Paris was a refuge and safe haven for many homosexuals and a center for the LGBTQ community, especially in the bohemian districts. They still lived in secret or in special circles. So yes, going there would be an option for both...
As someone who likes and watches both (but yes I like RL more and I can't help that. That's how I feel because…
I agree with you. I find the comparisons and mutual attempts to devalue each other so that the respective favorite appears "better" simply childish and ridiculous. But I also have to say that I can't really remember any negative comments about ABO Desire in the RL comment section (maybe I missed them, or it was too long ago that I don't remember?). I think of more supportive comments when I think of the RL comment section. In any case, good things can coexist and be mutually appreciated. But many in the BL community haven't yet grasped that. You can observe this across different series. This kind of behavior is immature. The community should actually support each other and be happy that we get diverse stories so that there's something for everyone. But I've observed so many pointless fan wars that sometimes I can only shake my head... And yes, many can't (anymore) distinguish between fiction and reality.
Oh, I have a feeling I'm going to hate Hua Yong over the course of the series 😅 He's such a psycho, and all the warning bells are ringing. Props to Elliot for his performance!
It was funny that the list consisted of the actors' real names...
Bias against Chi Cheng" lol Some people have opinions that differ from yours. If the situation is truly serious,…
However, WSW does not have priority over the mother's personal rights. Furthermore, it is not stated that WSW and his mother will not spend any time together. The series is structured with time jumps and plot jumps that are not shown to us. In other words, we can assume that WSW will spend time with his mother normally, just without the burdening knowledge (which CC bears).
The mother wishes that WSW will not be burdened. Perhaps it is the wrong decision for him. But he does not have priority over the rights of the sick person. Only the sick person has the right to tell people that they are sick, and frankly, I also think it's terrible when people who are already dying are denied their final wishes. And yes, I know someone who died of pancreatic cancer. Everyone has different wishes on their final journey, and in my opinion, these should be respected. How painful would it be for the mother to see her son suffering during her illness, and that is the last image she takes with her of her life? I think CC balances it well and he has the heaviest load to carry.
