They can't do that to people who already starred in BL works, right? I mean at least it should only affect those…
Look at bianbian's comments... 😔

Someone told me it doesn't mention BL specifically, I can't read Chinese so I am really eager to know, plus does…
Somehow, I was waiting for a comment from you, because I know you always have knowledge in this regard... But I'm devastated! Does this mean that TXN won't be appearing in his new drama? I read that the role has already been cut to "guest appearance"... Can the two still appear as leads in smaller productions? Are they allowed to participate in international productions? If, for example, Thailand wanted to film with them as leads, could they accept the offer?

If I understand correctly, actors who were leads in BLs are no longer allowed to participate in projects starting in September. Does this also apply to international projects? What impact will this have on Kill to Love?

With your comment, my very last hope for The One S2 is also dying.

This looks way to harsh to be true . I hope this is just another runor. It will be a disaster otherwise
I hope so, too. But I'm also worried about it.

That's exactly what worries me! It sounds like they're not allowed to film at all anymore. That's practically a professional ban. And after everything TXN and Zi Yu have had to endure, and still have to endure, that's the worst thing that could happen...

Is this true??
The fact that TXN was cut from Hello Saturday first surfaced as a rumor in July. This was a reaction to the false rumors about him. We can only hope that these are also false rumors. Otherwise, it would be disastrous for all the good actors who entertain us, regardless of the series.

I know that ABO Desire was removed from IQIYI and other platforms some time ago. The first sentence could also refer to that, because they have influence over IQIYI. But that doesn't change the fact that it would be a disaster for all the actors... In that case, I would also hope they could work internationally.

Oh man, I just really hope that's not true...

Original article doesn't mention this, seems like a fan panic spreading/engagement farming post.
By "original article," do you mean the pictures, or is the article available somewhere? Because the sentences are at the end of the second picture. But honestly, I really hope I've fallen for scaremongering and it's not true. I would be grateful for other sources...

I looked at both images with Google Translate, and the highlighted part corresponds to the statement made by user X.... The translation into my language says: "Some BL series were broadcast illegally and are therefore no longer allowed to be shown on international platforms. Starting in September, main actors of BL dramas will no longer be allowed to appear in productions."

I was also wondering if this applies to Viki and Gagaoolala, and especially if the series will be taken down and we'll never see them again? Do they have that kind of influence? Can we request them on Netflix as a wish series? Or does it mean that IQIYI and WeTV are removing all BLs?I'm shocked and sad right now. What's happening with TXN's new series? Will his head also be replaced by AI? What's happening with Kill to Love? Will it even be broadcast? What's happening with ABO Desire? Will it still be broadcast? I have a lot of questions in my head right now. And above all, the thought that TXN is the loser in all of this weighs heavily on my heart. At least Zi Yu still has his music.

Because, if you may have notice, they have been some trolls visiting. One of them proudly announced he was giving…
Halfway through the series, people who don't rate a series based on one or two episodes, but rather have a longer impression, begin to rate it. Changes halfway through and towards the end of the series (where a large number of ratings are given) are therefore normal. This doesn't necessarily have anything to do with haters, even though fans of the series might like to think so. Mass hater downvotes usually occur at the beginning of the broadcast. Even though the comments section here tends to lash out at fans of a particular series... ABO Desire even had a rating of 8.6 at one point, but like many other BLs, it lost 0.4 points in mid-July. On the same day that RL lost 0.4 points. At that time, it was at 9.0. (Why is RL always used for comparison? Besides the fact that they're both Chinese BLs, they're hardly comparable.) According to support, this drop is due to the deletion of inactive accounts... After all, only 3,500 people have rated the series, so the ratings jump quickly. And 0.1 isn't much and can therefore quickly rise again by this range..

In my personal experience, I only take ratings seriously once I'm halfway through a series. And even then, I don't let the ratings here on MDL deter me, because many series that I consider really good only have a 7.x rating.

my question is why I can't watch it? like where's the play option?
Here on the site, there's a "Where to watch" category, where you'll find providers where you can watch it. In this case, it would be Viki. You can usually also watch the series on Gagaoolala. However, MDL doesn't generally list this streaming provider.

So many people on MDL and across social media are complaining about Hua Yong’s character in ABO Desire. Some…
As someone who watches the series fairly neutrally because I'm not particularly emotionally invested, I look at this comment section and sometimes want to grab some popcorn while reading the comments. I get the impression that many people here are discussing things at cross purposes...

1. Why is the novel constantly cited? You don't have to read a novel beforehand to watch a series. Maybe someone spontaneously stumbled across the series and liked the description? A series has to be able to exist independently of the original, and therefore not everyone knows the plot... and that's perfectly fine! You can discover a story, a character, and develop feelings for it just by watching it...

2. The role of HY is, as you say, designed to captivate the viewer, to generate strong emotions, and to polarize. Accordingly, the character can be loved and hated with all his heart. Controversial characters, in particular, can form the basis for inspiring discussions because they allow us to examine our values. So why would we want to "forbid" certain feelings?

My favorite role in Only Fans was Boston. He gave me a rollercoaster of emotions. I hated him. I loved him. And for that, I celebrated Neo for being able to evoke that in me.

I think of First, whom I first saw in Moonlight Chicken and hated his role so much that I had to watch two more series with First to free myself from those feelings. Isn't it amazing that an actor can do something like that?

Elliot portrays the role phenomenally, and that's why he evokes such an incredibly diverse range of emotions in many people.

3. I don't think any viewer expects a "green flag" here. Why are viewers who harbor negative feelings toward HY assumed to want to see fluffy BLs and only green flag characters? That's derogatory. Because all that shows the characters' feelings is that they're pushing the boundaries of their personal values, and now they're negotiating with themselves about whether to continue watching despite the rejection and how they personally represent continuing to watch. And that's perfectly fine. I think everyone has their own personal points where they say: This is as far as I'll go.

4. Yes, it's important to distinguish between fiction and reality. This is, for example, a point that can be taken into account when negotiating one's own boundaries. And yes, there are often BL viewers who can't distinguish between fiction and reality (especially when it comes to the actors behind the roles). But do you think that's the case with Hua Yong's character?

5. Why shouldn't people be allowed to call HY toxic and manipulative? His behavior is pretty much that. He exhibits Machiavellian traits. He might even be a psychopath. Why can't we discuss this, even if the setting takes place in a supernatural world?

6. Why on earth in this comment section is it always brought up that critics of HY and the series are suggesting that fans of the series support certain behavior? I haven't seen anyone here say anything like that and yet I often read this as an argument against critics. Quite the opposite of other comment sections where viewers were personally attacked for watching certain series... I haven't noticed that here (yet).

7. I think your last two paragraphs are very well described.

As a somewhat outsider, I wish there was more dialogue here, instead of everyone interpreting comments into something that sometimes isn't even written. Isn't it better to initiate a genuine exchange by asking questions, rather than falling into a one-against-the-other argument? I've had some really tough discussions on MDL with two completely different viewpoints, and truly engaging in the exchange has always broadened my perspectives...

Gao Tu is the most popular in bl, on X and TikTok I only see comments complaining that he didn't show up. Many…
I see it differently. Hua Yong is incredibly charismatic. That's undeniable. But you can also hate Hua Yong with all your heart. Which, by the way, is a great performance by Elliot. His way of subtly yet clearly switching characters from one moment to the next is magnificent.

The reason Gao Tu is so popular is that you can feel pity for him, and some viewers might even identify with his desperate situation. So, the character is easy to sympathize with. Whereas with our favorite psycho, Hua Yong, all the viewers are more likely to set off alarm bells and say: Run away. But given his charisma, I'd say the Enigma is at the top for a reason.
