thank you. I had not seen the Sun Yue dramas before watching OFL, mostly for Bai Lu, who is one of my top fave actresses. Dylan was good there too although I think it is not their best drama, still watchable despite the mobile phones as almost main characters.

Even though he's on that site, it does not look like he's reached status as an idol yet (although he perhaps would like to be one, from his description of "idol characteristics" on his Weibo page); no music is listed for him, only three roles as supporting cast in a movie and two dramas... Aha, he played in Only For Love? Yes, I saw that one, perhaps I will re watch to track his appearance as "Gu Zinian".

Only 27 here admit to have watched it, since this is not in the same category as the high flying costume dramas, and mainstream romances that most are fond of on MDL (me too, since I'm here, although I started out just logging in dramas &n movies from China to keep track of my own watching, later following some actors or actresses of c-dramaland, like I used to follow directors work in movieland before).
I like the less traveled paths, once in a while, so sometimes click on more quirky stuff, grinning at the clickbait titles on YT of items which at times appear in a continuous stream in recommendations column (surely because of the algorithm that computes what I watched before). I don't always watch till end. Sometimes these items just cover mainstream lesser dramas that I already watched. Nevertheless, some catch my interest, like that one did. Perhaps also because it was not easy to find data about it. Although not being a specialist, I have watched enough to recognize stories and leads, sometimes others in cast, even without credits, feeling rather gratified when I do. I wonder who adds these pieces and cloak them under those "titles"; where and how did they bootleg them from, what caused them to take pains to add subtitles? ( I also wondered who introduced the title and actors data on MDL... You, for that couple? I wonder what awoke your interest. Perhaps "sleuthing" around it, like I did randomly? )
Feeling generous, I added an overall 7 in rating : it is quite watchable in its modest and low budget category. Filming was well done too, in my opinion.
Perhaps I should have gone all out penning a review, but 2 months have passed and this was "only" snack time between A Journey to Love and mainstream romances starring Tan Jianci, Chen Xingxu & Victoria Song, CXX & Zhang Ruonan, Wu Lei & Zhao Jinmai - the latter got me interested in billiards!! While whiling time away in wait for more dramas from Chen Zheyuan, who has become my main bias, causing me to do a full length ongoing Profile about him (you can find the link to that, it if you are curious, scrolling down on actor page to comments. I have had fun crafting it.)
Toying with the idea that it might be fun to add a more fleshed out mini profile for the leads here, in the vein of what I added for Tan Jianci and Chen Xingxu in the Discussions pages of their latest dramas. But where to get more data about Sun Yue and Xu Yizhen? I only found some stuff on Baidu looking up Sun Yue, native of Xi'an who studied communications and performing arts in Zhejiang, including a filmography of unknown to me dramas and a mention of " In 2023, the period movie "Jian Bozan in Chongqing" 翦伯赞在重庆 will be released. " but where, what is it about ? Besides, if the mini-dramas and movies are too difficult to access and don't have subtitles, they would not appeal to drama watchers here, sigh, probably. 🙂

So, I suppose MDL will also follow suit. Eventually. I am glad I'm following some superfan pages which helpfully had compiled that illustration with names of further cast.

I tried to update info on other dramas where I had dug up suitable info, and it bounced because the sources were not official. Though the info was true and tested. So I have given up on updating here except mentioning in my Discussion pieces where MDL is plain mistaken (it happens) or lacks info.
Feel free to update MDL if you like, using the info I compiled or other sources. Anyway it's nice to have different ways to convey info ?

Mostly some inconsiderate ones who stalk him and crowd him too much at times, like once at Beijing airport, or trekking to sets that were under construction, causing him to worry for their safety. The majority know the rules to stay at arms distance at least, not obstruct his path when he is going places, and best wait in a tidy group like those who did so after the ALLOVE event. He is one of those who value fan letters and even answers as much as he can. Besides that, Yuanyuan is popular and his star is still rising which is rather a joy to observe.
I was dubious about the two actresses first thought of, although I like ZJY, but I was glad Liang Jie jumped in when WYW jumped ship ; yes she will be a perfect Song Ran :D
It looks so good but at the same time 40 episodes... I don't know what to think.
Since I started watching looooong dramas a long time ago, I feel 40-65 episodes are quite ok for a good drama. I don't like it much when a drama becomes artificially divided into seasons 1, 2,... just because rules prevented it from airing full length. I hope the screenwriters did not make TWOT too choppy with cuts, to "fit to size": looking forward to the excitement of this project.
Btw the Profile being parked in DNAD discussion is purely for convenience's sake. If this actor profile page had one, that's where I would put it. But I like the possibility to add, change, correct, in the Discussions page. It is easier to do so than in Articles, which are a "finished product", whereas this is a continuing project.
