He was celebrating his 24th. He stated before that he hoped she could "help him get married before he turned 27":…
Yes, I hope the translation will not be a problem for new audience....
The fact is that the guys may have been reminded of the book where indeed there is a 7 years difference. In the drama, scriptwriters decided to reduce it to 5, so as not to start the babyhood too early.

In real life crushes can happen any time, according to research, between 5 and 30+ (or later?), the length of pre adolescent crushes is generally very short lived. Adolescent ones are another matter but so frowned upon by teachers, parents, ... that the crush is usuallly "crushed" as quickly as possible before it develops into obsession. Crushes are still not really accepted before marriageable age, so students have to be careful, even though by then it is seen as "quite normal" behavior.
In this drama, I think we saw everything from puppy love and yearning to get a nicer big brother, to deep crush crushed, and adult crush turning into real love. Plus a case of obsession no crush related. Nice.

I believe her dream to get into college in the city where the ML lives.
Yes. Btw. For some of those questions you could check the pinned Discussion items. Bizarrely the titles don't show up in the box below cast and photos, but if you click on New Topic, it will lead you to the list of Discussions. In "Shooting locations and dates, misc", the last post is a survey and directory of the other discussions, with dates started, author and topic + direct link.
And there's a post about how to make the stars and what was on the ones in Hidden Love too.
In the hope that will be helpful to you too.

Five episodes is not enough, because the core of the story begins after entering FL the university in this point…
Yes, I did advise someone else to start at 8 if babyhood bothered them. It's always possible to go back to beginning, if one gets hooked later...

Only talk about yourself. I loved it. There are many people who like simple love story rather than dark, depressing,…
Lol I loved One and Only .... adored The Forbidden Flower starring the father of all tropes ex "Daoming SI" actor (beautifully preserved and seductive Jerry Yan Chengxu), enthused about Road Home despite the terror attack putting ML played by Jing Boran almost in a coma in that one, liked enough Luo Zheng's latest tropes festival to rise to defend it against guys who wanted to drag it down to 1 after watching less than an episode (pleased to see it featured at least two weeks among the 10 most viewed recently). Clichés galore and ad-fest can be so hilarious in c-dramas !

But I still loved LLTG and HL enough to rave about those. To the tune of 10 of course. Even had me contribute quite a bit here, more perhaps than I even did for TFF, RH, ADWTF, TYM which are the ones I most enjoyed recently. So cute fluff or dark gritty dramatic like TTEOTM, WRTW, LBFAD, TSL, LO2O, AOL, YAMG, FIYS, PYHOMS ... even slice-of-life, military, or "ace" esports like The King's Avatar are all on my menus when they are good, and Hidden Love definitely is emphatically top excellent in its genre, as far as I am concerned.

ZLS and CZY dub themselves when needed in this drama. Dubbing can happen for a variety of reasons: noise on set…
It is not usually mentioned on the MDL page when a C-drama is dubbed. You need to check Baidu in Chinese to find the dubbers names.

If you want to enjoy a drama, it does not really matter that c-dramas are dubbed or not, since it is not like dubbing in a foreign language. It will not change anything for you if you are not a mandarin speaker anyway. If you just want to enjoy the actor's real voice, I suggest you listen to the interviews or watch BTS.
Myself, I also like to hear them sing.

For instance, Vin Zhang Binbin has a deep voice to-die-for, and there, it did irk me that he is was dubbed in "Song of The Moon" unlike in most of his other screen appearances. So Ok, he is from the Jiangsu where people pronounce some words differently from putonghua: mostly trouble with the northern -er endings, so they'd never use words like "nà'er" (there) but say nàlǐ instead, and use a typical hissing ss sound for "sh". You can spot it in these very nice songs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrbwZyxMyGg and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYDYamhVwlM where he gets "sssi" instead of "shi" "sssun" instead of "shun". (Not that it bothers me, since I am used to that regional pronunciation, having lived in + have family both in the Jiangnan, close to his Wuxi birthplace, and in Beijing.)
But despite the dubbing of the drama, and since I also like 2Bin's handsome appearance, I still stayed on for a while although I left SOTM on hold at ep.14 because other dramas and other stuff came in the way. I almost watched AROTLF (where he was not dubbed) only bc of him...

Here is a cute BTS of 2Bin preparing to record the theme song of "Here We Meet Again" with Janice Wu Qian : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGUZPk8ulnA
Btw 2Bin is not dubbed in that drama, and HWMA is rather sweet, although a bit too long; ep 20 shows him as a master kisser, so if you watched that, I'm sure you've liked it 😍 if not, try and stay on or just sample ep20 if you are okay with missing everything that led to there. And next, have fun with his fan meeting snippet about the kisses, here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWkBtP0cYg8 (the whole fan meeting was interesting to me and can also be found on YT. 2Bin was taught then how to pronounce a few phrases in Sichuan mandarin for the occasion, and used one in the snippet about the kisses ! ).

If CZY was as gifted a singer as 2Bin, YY, XZ, RJL, Z.Tao or Xu Weizhou, I'd write about it too here, but if you like you can check the short profile I wrote about CZY in my https://kisskh.at/discussions/hidden-love/109103-shooting-locations-and-dates-misc-other-links. It is less CZY's voice than his looks, moves (hands esp) and his talent, humor, and kind behavior with other cast and crew in dramas and shows, that drew my attention and made me like that young actor.

He is a rising star right now .. Its usually the busiest time
I don't agree with you. TPATW has not even reached mid-point as it is still airing until August 9 when I will decide what I myself would rate it.
I am having fun with it, as do the many who are still busy commenting on the MDL page where it is provisionally rated 8.1.
The fantasy costume comedy series reaches 7,000 popularity index on Youku a few days ago, which is far from bad.
Also, the title is "The Princess and the Werewolf". CZY juggles between two different appearances as ugly King Kui Mulang and handsome "guard" Li Xiong, and Wu Xuanyi is an ebullient and funny princess who does not want to marry the King who tries his best to coax her into being his queen with so many devoted concessions and saving her life, that it is a wonder she still has not fallen for them. 😂 I'm off to watch ep12 now! 😄

Umm did you need to flood this conversation with that question several times ? You know; you can delete the repeats, so as not to hog space.
I answered above.

questiom: when did the stalker fall in love with him? and I thought he repaid all their money, if so why did he…
I don't think Jiang Ying ever liked Jia Xu. She rather considered him as her property that could be milked for money after Jiaxu's mother promised that he would take care of her. She was insecure so sent him parcels of things like dietary complements since she worked as a beautician, to force him to show up with her. When Jiaxu and Zhi were returning from Nanwu after the wedding, they met Jiaxu's former high school fellow student who had been at a reunion of former students where Jiang Ying spread the notion that she and Jiaxu were "together" which was a lie. She had also spread that lie to her friend at the company where Zhi happened to go interning later.
Jiaxu had been shunned by his classmates and Jiang Ying had brushed his written apology away from her table without even reading it, playing the role of martyr, as shown in a flashback in another episode.
As Zhi had well understood, Jiang Ying had been guilt-tripping Jiaxu from the time of the hit and run by his father.
He had never liked or loved her, but thought it was his responsibility to pay the amount set by the judges, which was a hefty one. It is implied that he and his mother had to sell their home to pay so that his mother did not have to rely on reluctant family members to help her with money and that Jiaxu did not have to give up his studies in university; but then, she fell ill and had to be treated in hospital, died and there were funeral costs. The Sang family helped Jiaxu with some money, but he had to repay them, and that had set him back having to resort to instalments for the remainder of the blood money debt. That's why he was working even there, in different jobs such as tutor, and paid internship, before going to work in the game design company in Yihe.
It was mentioned in an episode when he is at work in Yihe that he was sending Jiang Ying a final amount of 8,000 Rmb and that was to be the final payment, he did not want to hear her or see her after that. Soon after, she went berserk and had to be driven away by security guards in the office building where he worked (episode when Zhi brought the electronic peephole cam).
When she finally tried to paint Jiaxu in unappealing color to Zhi, whom she had stalked to the team-building party of the company where Zhi was interning, and Jiaxu realized Jiang Ying indeed was also stalking his girlfriend, he looked JY up in anger at the beauty salon and served her the text of the law, so she would know that he meant to call the police on her if she went on stalking or slandering them.

i was today years old when i found out that cdramas are actually dubbed? is this one too?
ZLS and CZY dub themselves when needed in this drama.
Dubbing can happen for a variety of reasons: noise on set which as some commenters explained can be especially strong in xianxia and wuxia, complications with the bgm, wrong tone, mistakes, changes in dialogue after filming...
If the actors or actresses have a strong accent, like William Chan and Wallace Chung, they are usually dubbed by professionals in the PRC which prefers to have standard putonghua as the main common speech form in broadcasts and teaching. But even if Zhao Lusi is originally from Chengdu which has a special variety (some say dialect) of Sichuan mandarin, and studied in Taiwan which uses another variety of mandarin, she has now been working long enough in the PRC to be able to speak non-accented standard putonghua; Chen Zheyuan is from the Cantonese speaking area, born and educated in Shenzhen, but he has also been working long enough in dramas and televised reality shows to do dialogues in standard putonghua. So, they can now be heard with their original voices (although CZY is still dubbed by Yu ChangYu [who dubbed Chen Muchi in the Starry Love] in still airing "The Princess and the Werewolf" which was filmed in 2021; but there is no mention that he was dubbed before in "Mr Bad" or "Our Secret"). Dubbing themselves can be done by some actors or actresses, although it will add work time for them, so, for time constraints reasons of if it is cheaper, professional dubbers may be used.
Perhaps because ZLS and CZY are not professional voice dubbing actors, or the post production team had trouble with editing scenes and separating the original take of their voices to transfer them to final pictures with bgm for instance, some keen watchers noticed a few times when lip movement lagged or was not exactly what we could hear in "Hidden Love", although I was not so finely attuned to that to notice myself or really not much, after being made aware of it. To me it did not detract any from my enjoyment of the drama.

I'm so confuse about there age difference or is it the translation.. they're suppose to be 5 years apart, but…
He was celebrating his 24th. He stated before that he hoped she could "help him get married before he turned 27": in China women cannot marry before 20 anyway and she needed at least 3 years more to complete her studies at the university.
The brother introduced a confusion at one moment by ageing Jiaxu two years in jest, although this could also be construed as a joking reference to having the age computed from being one or two years at birth, as is done when referring to traditional zodiac age in China (but that's pushing old fashioned). Jiaxu in that exchange corrected Sang Ye, reminding him that he was only 5 years older than her.
I have not watched the Netflix version, perhaps you should check again because at Jiaxu's birthday they did not mention his age at all in the original Youku version that I just checked once more.

Question: episode 17 where the ML visits the FL in college and attends a lecture with her, she calls him by his…
Hmmm In any context and culture, when you call a close one by their full name instead of first name or pet name, that would mean putting much distance and/or express irritation and dissatisfaction, wouldn't it ? Just one step removed from making him as a stranger if she called him "Mr Duan" or something (which could still be done with a coy smile, I suppose, but not with a scowl).
So, at the finger kiss episode, Zhi had already agreed that he woo her, made a special sweet for him (the cotton candy), everybody who'd see him come took him as her boyfriend even if she was going to keep him waiting until his birthday until she formally agreed.
She ought to have just said Jiaxu Ge as she used to in the former episode, until she'd decide to more blatantly admit to address him as nanpengyou (boyfriend), qīn'ài de (darling) or even laogong (husband, lover) and finding a pet name for him after first kisses.
