Yes, she gets her book back.Jiaxu is the one who gets the book from there and asks FL's brother to pass it to…
He was light years away from suspecting that his naive student was into him. He was not interested in babies, only concerned about her studies And about her uncivil and blunt behavior, concerned that she might make enemies by being too rude when he happened to witness her sending her high school suitor packing on said suitor's birthday. It was sweet that she remembered the advise and used it in ep.12 to send another one away gracefully.
once she checked the meaning of the gift, she knew that her feelings were not unrequited. He saw the light (with help from the groom) before arriving at the wedding party, so that's why he wore her gift of necktie and offered her a corresponding gift. Oooh so smooth : collared and leashed "dog" (single man) symbolically !! 🤣
The way they were secretly smiling at each other after the strawberry feeding scene.............its so wholesome!
From their outfit and her earrings, that snippet was when they left the party in the car, before she accepted the 手环 shǒuhuán rhyming with 喜欢 xǐhuān : this is going to be another 爱不释手 (ài bú shì shǒu) - to love something too much to part with it - treasured item ! So sweet !
he needed help from a more "congming" smarter friend 🤣 who got married before the rest of the bunch of the former university friends even though he did not look like a Romeo
Avenue is a failed actress back in China in the old days, she now sets herself up as a critic in youtube to glorify…
Try this link,if you absolutely want to hear the hateful mention, but be aware that it adds clicks to her views... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBt9a3CoBmo&lc=UgyNXTKv-VS0rHD4Nsp4AaABAg.9rLfPSICrnR9rOTjOqfI2l (ps: I am not a subscriber, only sometimes checking her channel as an outsider glancing at YT suggestions, since her rants ruffled me enough to unsubscribe a long time ago. She did have an interesting blog and some interesting videos - in the past. Now she seems to have morphed into the Wicked Witch of the West taking vicious pleasure in rants and loving dramas that end up often boring to me. Anyway, her videos are way too long and verbose, and I think she mostly loves listening to herself, with little heed of what audiences feel . )
Avenue is a failed actress back in China in the old days, she now sets herself up as a critic in youtube to glorify…
Sorry to say it's still up there with 11K views and worse, 526 thumbs up. But over 90 comments in favor of and defending the Hidden Love drama, story; novel and manhua. She ought to be sued by Youku. Drawing attention to their drama for such outlandish accusations, relayed by a coterie that perhaps has an agenda with other actress (will hope that's not with D blessing) is not a good way of gaining view and promoting their work. It's simply slander. But the slanderer benefits from views, so do not actively go on to search her page for more clicks (I left it open on mine to check the developing ruckus, not to add to clicks).
From what she said about herself, she was an "editor" in c-ent media but she felll victim to some skin and eye disease that plagued her to limits, with a swollen face that could frighten off the beholders. Why exactly she emigrated to Canada in the region of Ottawa, she did not say; she said that taking up learning to, play the guqin and releasing on a Youtube channel her views about what shows, esp dramas, that she watched, contributed to her healing and feeling better. I assume she was once working close to ancient costume design for dramas, because she has a genuine passion and knowledge of Hanfu and hair accessories. She also cares a lot about such details as color grading, and professes a love of cinematography (although she missed out some spectacular uses in shows she chose for her biased reasons to bring down). She does know a lot of History (but missed out obvious things in some dramas, pointed out by other Chinese people with good knowledge of details and historic accuracy). She enjoys enlightening audiences about language and poetry. I am not quite clear exactly where she lived and worked, she mentioned at different occasions Chongqing and Beijing, but seems to be familiar with the Dongbei too. I am sure she is not directly connected to the C ent studios, at present, Even if she follows their news closely but as some Chinese watchers noticed, she does regurgitate or copy/paste Weibo posts that she finds popular, or scandalous, in her videos. She is unashamed of sharing inaccurate and misleading information, because she looks down on her audience, which she assumes perhaps rightly to be non-Chinese, uncultured, clueless, and easy to be manipulated. Perhaps "editor" was her wish thinking dream job and she could not realize her dreams in another way as trying to rise from low ranking Internet influencer. She did express regrets that studios don't use her as a consultant. Perhaps much of her bile stems from frustration and jealousy. Perhaps she was wronged in some way by people in the show business and she has a vengeful spirit. As you noticed, she doesn't dare 'cross' everybody and even 'butters up' waning stars. Perhaps she plain hates young screen and music performers or composers below 34 years old, although she excepts some, like Chen Xueran. I am sorry that she chose to gain audience through negativity instead of showing benevolence in her pointing out technical details. Even more sorry that she chose to try to bring down young artists with poisonous remarks about their command of mandarin and accents, while two facedly regretting the dubbing that is routinely done in dramas.
She is polar opposite to Marcus, who is doing his pro reports on YouTube quite well. Marcus let out that he was once an actor in China (so knows at least as much as she does about productions and media discussions, ratings etc), I like and subscribe to his channel, for his clear enjoyment of compact reporting as impartially as he can, his consideration of his audience's reactions, making the show somewhat inclusive, besides being non aggressive when he gives his views on and rating of what he chose to watch, usually till completion (unlike AvX who I doubt refrains from skipping but is verbose and listens only to herself in her videos)
To me Avenue X is representative of a certain sort or holier-than-thou thought police. AvX's best contributions are when she explains about Hanfu and ancient costumes, poetry, and guqin playing... She is right when she criticizes the actors in historical or wuxia/xianxia/xuanhuan who "play the guqin" totally wrong. (I agree there, bc I am also a guqin player: it is a very special instrument, not designed for very loud and too showy performances, unlike the guzheng. It is also one of the most ancient string instruments, with esoteric features that have been linked to magic, so that could justify it's use for the fantasy depiction of cultivation in the xianxia/xuanhuan/wuxia universe. I was pleased to see that Wu Lei took pains to learn some basics of guqin playing, for his simple performance in the LLTG banquet snippet).
But I hate her bias against some actors, actresses, and shows, and her cowardice and hypocrisy demonstrated in some of her videos that thankfully no one gets back to now. I strongly dislike howling with the pack of monkeys, and hate the wolves pretending to be disciples of Sun Wukong. I prefer to let my little boat sail on, usually without mention and answer. Just taking in the view of the hellish cliffs they haunt (YT keeps making me aware of them although I unsubscribed from that channel in 2020, so I glance at the page once in a while with misgivings, trying to sift from the rubble what can be saved there.).
AvX looks like she finds vicious pleasure in finding what haters can spout and blowing it up, as if she was the self proclaimed Joan of Arc of c-ent, bent on mowing down the plethora of sinners who refuse to agree with her bs about "ridicule" and "defying logic" shows. She includes in her hate and contempt most of wuxia/xianxia/xuanhuan. Lately taking aim at Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu, hypocritically vaunting Luo Yunxi's talent, and next shooting TTEOTM down with venom, like she did Ashes of Love. She covers her bias with a "general dislike of xianxia and wuxia" but is not consistent with herself in her expressed love for ADOS (with flying on rooftop cultivation like features) or Oh No! Here comes trouble (a good new take on Chinese ghosts but is it an all time masterpiece? I liked it but it only rekindled nostalgia for some old Chinese ghosts stories and movies of the past century)
Among the pack of monkeys and parrots who howled with her, there on YT and here, some added another outlandish accusation that not only is HL to be flagged as P (everybody in their right mind, to me, can see how ridiculous and indicative of dirty suspicious mind and venom that sort of aspersion is), but also of "grooming" (next best modern accusation after P) which is luring young girls to emotional entanglement for later profit. An underage girl is as they say, legally under 14, so the drama is to be viewed in that suspicious spirit! Those snakes are even comparing it to Kris Wu and his coterie targeting girls of that age for their grooming to be part of orgies, willingly or not!! I have been pitying young men of this day and age who are faced with suspicions if ever they dare have romantic feelings for women, older or younger! And the girls who have to look at opposite gender as possible, probable even, rapists and murderers !! (whew! sure, there can be rotten apples in baskets, but that does not mean that the whole basket should be thrown away, and all of male mankind, female too now, should be held suspicious of vicious motivation and pre-emptively condemned, guilty or not!) Your husband Ericka, could have been the target of such suspicion, if he dated you before you were of age (with or without the knowledge of reasonable and loving open minded parents) !!) This is no era to admire the Romeos and Juliets (who were already fated to a dire end, sigh.)
It looks like these commenters are siding with those who see any romantic entanglement as suspicious and only worth of condemnation! They probably would prefer couples not to exist and have future generations raised in test tubes and brought up like in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. And best mute, so they would not express suspicious sounding jokes or choice of words, such as an outlandish debate raging over "gege" or "ge" /"xiaohai" and "xiao pengyou", what have you in the sociolinguistical confiscated drawer. For their peace of mind. Which they'd like to impose on everybody. Through thought police condemnation part and parcel of all those who make, market or like such youth romances as HL and whatever ZLS is touching.
Let's disregard them : they are a toxic active minority, but won't beat the larger public who they are trying to stain the pleasure of. That's why Youku and the production, and cast, won't suffer, since the heat index is stable at 10,000 (can't rise further up, from information I learned here about that one). We may contribute to fighting off the wolves by rating each episode as favorably as we'd like to ;-)
Sorry for the long pamphlet. Had to vent again... Weekend is soon over. Waiting for more episodes of HL :)
Scroll down, it was discussed at length already :)It is a conversation I started and ended with the exchange of…
But the value of the snippets was commented about the honey pot snippet. 2 days ago. Conversation started by zee with "he bought her the most expensive honey 😭😭"

No I had to scroll far, granted, and use "Load more comments" 5 or 6 times, but if you search the sentence "Did anyone have an explanation for why she chose sneakers/tennis shoes" in the comments from a day ago , you'll find the exchange
Question you guys, why did she go with the cute tennis shoes instead of the cute sandals? What's the meaning with…

Good grief : AvenueX sparing some poison for HL in her June 24 report on airing or soon to air dramas! She "has not researched it", "just watched first episode and was grossed out. Big P. Pedophilia !!! " Well, I knew she did not belong to ZLS supporters, but now, ok, definitely a hater, targeting everything that has something to do with our actress,. Can't remember any moment she had something nice to say about her for her previous work, although she once grudgingly admitted that The Romance of Tiger and Rose was watchable. So it was, but there are quite a few that deserve more than lukewarm praise.
HL Youku Heat index has already soared to 10,000 so HL is bound to be a good one. (And no, it wouldn't be that popular if it was truly what AvX goes and rants. So although I am a fellow guqin player and Hanfu lover, I will not listen to much more of AvX almost daily chronicles on YT now. Preferring Marcus Here's shorter and well built, more factual reporting even he is not a fan of youth romances nor of ZLS. He never gets personally offensive against c-ent stars, by contrast.).
Ok that was me angrily venting against the crazies (there's another one that came to my attention). I'm done with that, and stopping my watching that chronicles "for my peace of mind" as the cobra-ish AvX sweetly expresses. Have a nice time until tomorrow. I need to catch some sleep. It's getting late now, soon Sunday and time for me to forget that ..... reporter while enjoying Hidden Love next episode.
