very satisfying. The " Duke" got his bride with less hassle than in The Double π but the tug of war was entertaining Now how will the other girls get their husbands?
It's been a while since I watched a mini C-drama that hooked me like this, this drama is giving me everything…
I too enjoy short episodes dramas once in a while, especially if they have sizzle. This story here is more formulaic and tropey than Embrace In the Dark Night (which I can see we both appreciated the "cult" quality of). But it is good enough to have had me watch and chuckle gleefully since yesterday. Awaiting Jan31 to get back for the last episodes. I too am tempted to be generous π
So this is really non serious, "vertical dramas" style, but I admit I binge watched till ep.28 since yesterday afternoon, in two sittings with some gingerbread, custard cream, and masala chai tea (ok, I know "Women with hormonal imbalances and pregnant women should limit their intake." but I am not a pregnant woman, so just enjoy the spice!) π.
The storyline mostly I have watched in portrait short dramas with different actors and actresses
you mean "vertical dramas". Yes, it is very much in that category, but I admit I binge watched till ep.28 since yesterday afternoon, in two sittings with some gingerbread, custard cream, and masala chai tea (ok, I know "Women with hormonal imbalances and pregnant women should limit their intake." but I am not a pregnant woman, so just enjoy the spice!) π.
Dude lured her in a warehouse and stayed there for ML to find them lol
yes that was rather unlikely. I assumed FYC would reveal he had installed a tracker on her phone besides copying her home key now that's he's shifted target for his control. But we did not get it shown or admitted. It's a collection of tropes and well used storylines with pretty clothes... not to forget the shoes including those long men's shoes when FYC steps in or out of vehicles or rooms π.
But I admit I binge watched till ep.28 since yesterday afternoon, in two sittings with some gingerbread, custard cream, and masala chai tea (ok, I know "Women with hormonal imbalances and pregnant women should limit their intake." but I am not a pregnant woman, so just relax and enjoy the spice!)
Historical c-dramas are always dubbed or self dubbed because of noises that are not easy to edit out, which would not sound "historical", sometimes because of accents too, since what is accepted now in modern drams is less acceptable in historical ones.
Usually, historical c-dramas rely on dubbing or self dubbing because there is a lot of noise that it not easy to edit out, on sets, that cannot sound like "historical" ...
you can see the difference from blossoms in adversity for example, in that team there were a lot of women
Not really similar premise; BIA clearly centered on one unusual in the family "female leader", and one ambiguous ML with a wound to his soul. Here, it is a little like in New Life Begins in the start episodes with many ladies working together, although there too, it was less ensemble cast than one particular FL and the rest revolving around her and ML. This Perfect Match is rather unusual in that it looks like there will be interweaving stories, even though there still is one FL who stands out from the other ones. The MLs all in support roles, lol ? In that sense it reminds me more of The Tale of Rose, although the stories are far different : TTOR is set in modern days around one FL and all the support cast men linked to her except her brother and dad are ... losers to some extent, either from character flaw or from health and age difference !
But let's not be drawn to too many comparisons and just enjoy the show!
I always find supposedly "female centric" stories narrated by male writers to have lots of problems but idk maybe…
Then don't hesitate to add them and show your love with ratings when you have a moment ! I see you like Moonlight Mystique too since you use the pretty GIF of Fuling/Bai Xi for your Profile page, but why let it be believed you watched ... 0 episodes? I supposed you just finished it (perhaps also with first instalment of FP likewise orphan of episodes watched) like I did. I liked the two very much, differently of course. Anyway since you embarked here on Perfect Match in earnest, I wish you will find it satisfactory in the end! π
Happy birthday to Zhang Zhen who voices Chen Heyi (who plays Du Yangxi, Shouhua's husband) as found the announce on the Dubbing team page, thanks to theotherayn's helpful screenshot of the dubbing actors names on the Douban drama forums. These names are now added on dramawiki (which has the mammoth full 150+ cast!), and I am adding some on my Notes page, together with the GIF linking to Wang Xingyue self dubbing! π

Have you watched them? why aren't they in your list then ? The ones I mentioned are not really "safe" dramas like fairy tale Mr Insomnia Waiting For Love, which is very very safe but not really recommended unless you look for one that will let you have a better sleep lol

Just enjoying watch and rewatch at the moment.
