the production was originally A+, that's whyit's upgraded to S long after they finished the filming
No wonder I felt like the setting wasn’t very high budget. I’m not saying it looks cheap like a short drama, but I’ve seen better and higher quality sets in other dramas. So this one, the setting feels just good to me. What really makes up for it though are the costumes looking gorgeous and the way they styled our main casts, everyone looks so good.
My guess is that a lot of the budget probably went into marketing, which might be why they upgraded it from A+ to S after filming wrapped up.
I binged all 10 episodes in one sitting. This was so fun. Like, really fun. They included some political elements and evil characters for a heavier plot, but it never felt messy or all over the place. The whole cast did an amazing job, and the costumes were my absolute favorite. So pretty, worn by very pretty people.
I’m not sure what the actual budget level of the project alone was, but it didn’t feel like an S-rank production. I was also a bit bothered by the dubbing at first because it sounded like they were talking in an empty space. But after a while, I guess I got used to it, or maybe it really did get better.
Hopefully, they can maintain this momentum for the next 22 episodes.
Question: Is Kim Hye Yoon considered a good actress? I have seen two of her shows and it looks to me like she…
It might just be that her acting style doesn’t match your taste, and that’s completely fine. We all have actors or actresses we don’t connect with, even if they’re well-liked. I also has someone that I don't really like for their acting too. In Kim Hye-yoon’s case, she has received quite a few prestigious awards, so her talent is acknowledged. It just may not be your preference.
If you’re still interested, you could look forward to her 4 other future projects. This drama will be her last romcom for this year, and maybe even next year too.
Why the rating is low?? The starting, their acting, story everything is soo good yar 👏
The Judge Return also had a period of low ratings, and even now an 8.1 feels a bit low to me because the acting and plot are genuinely strong. It seems like many Korean dramas lately start off with lower ratings and then rise gradually.
I do need a small spoiler, please. Is it really a romcom? How’s the chemistry? And does Fukushi Sota get a lot of screen time? I actually had a bit of a rough experience with his acting before, so I’m hoping he improved in this one. And tag spoiler, please.
Today is the day! I’m going to finish this one and then watch the other later. So many fun dramas are releasing this week. I have high hopes for this one since the writers are top tier!
Am I the only one thinking the Kdrama lineup for Q1 of 2026 looks so good?! Way better than 2025’s whole year…
This whole year actually seems to have a very good lineup.
The Judge Returns, Perfect Crown, Undercover Miss Hong, Yumi's Cells 3, Human X Gumiho, The Remarried Empress, Merry Berry Love, Made in Korea 2, Can This Love Be Translated?,
Phantom Lawyer, Wicked World, No Tail to Tell, Doctor X, Awakening, Flex X Cop 2, Good Partner 2. Sold Out Again Today. (can you imagine this list actually from SBS? And thank goodness they will be available on Netflix.)
I feel like this year could be K-drama year for me.
From the trailer, I had a feeling that she accidentally did something good for him, which is why she said she lost her power because of him. Maybe save him or something.
I watched the trailer, got excited, and wanted to discuss the drama in the comments, but I didn’t expect to see so many negative comments & not even about the drama itself, but about the actress. What’s frustrating is that most of these criticisms don’t really make sense and can easily be countered.
1. ‘She always plays roles where she chases the male lead.’ That’s simply not true. In those dramas, it’s actually the ML who pursues her, not the other way around. 2. ‘She’s doing 3 rom-coms in a row.’ This just shows a lack of familiarity with her filmography. She’s done far more heavy and serious roles than rom-coms, and rom-coms actually make up only a small part of her work. What’s more, between those rom-coms, her serious roles earned her multiple awards for her performances. 3. ‘Her looks are just average.’ That’s subjective, and everyone has different standards of beauty. At the very least, she hasn’t altered her face through surgery. Hopefully, people can stay chill and not get offended if the same kind of comment is made about their own favorite actor.
It’s also obvious that some of these comments are coming from fans of that actor. But let’s be clear. She has no intention of ‘stealing’ anyone’s oppa. She was known as the iron wall. People seem to forget that last year she literally said, "He’s like a neighborhood oppa who’s leaving, and I’m just looking at his back as he moves further away.’" And we all know how he responded to that.
Criticism is fine, but at least let it be fair and based on facts & lastly, jealousy really is a disease.
I will fully admit, I'm going into this one with really reserved expectations but am hoping that it's really good.…
Agreed. I’m definitely keeping my expectations low, but the casts and chemistry are what make me hopeful. Hyeyoon especially always knows how to pick interesting characters, so I’m really rooting for this one.
Hopefully it turns out good. I’m keeping my expectations low since the scriptwriters aren’t well known, but at least the director was quite popular back in the early 2000s, so that gives me a bit of hope.
Ok… why did the rating go below 8.9? I mean we saw 8.9 just two days ago…. What’s with haters rating it…
Ouhhh you weren’t there that time. it was chaos here at comment section. suddenly there's so many people dropping 1 star ratings just ’cause they said the drama didn’t deserve an 8.9.
Can’t they just release all the deleted scenes for the fans? It’s such a shame, especially when some of those scenes are actually important to the story. Like, why cut them out when they could’ve added so much more depth and emotion? We deserve the full version! 😩
Right. I usually prefer manly faces like Li Xian, Cheng Lei, Zeng Shunxi, and Liu Xueyi. But now I kind of get why people like the pretty face type. This guy is honestly too good looking for his own good. Back when I watched him in When We Were Young, I mainly noticed his acting skills. But this time, I can’t ignore how pretty he actually is. Paired with the female lead, who’s also stunning, they just make every scene look so nice to watch.
