This movie moves EXTREMELY SLOW so watch it when you are in the mood. There are few climaxes in the plot. It shows the day to day life lead by a man in the Mongolian desert who shares his tent with some North Korean refugees. As slow as it is, it feels like a lot is going on. Really enjoyed this :)
I loved this! Some might not like the ending but I thought it was just great! It gives a different ending to what I'm used to seeing so I appreciate that! Not to mention it is hilarious!!
I wanna watch this so bad but 90% of the story is dialogue. Usually I can watch something RAW and not really care,…
Okay so I got pretty deseperate and came up with this solution; Youtube has episodes of this with Chinese subbing. So what I did was I played the show on my laptop and used my iPhone's google translate app. It has a feature where it automatically translates text in real time, you just aim the camera at it. Surprisingly, it actually works pretty well. Good enough for me to understand it at least!! Just a tip if anyone's as desperate as me haha >_<
This film was quirky in all the right ways. I love what they did with the romance story line!! Jjong Bi in the field of cabbages was just hilarious! This is a must watch.
Okay HUGE warning to anyone thinking about watching this. There is A LOT of sexual abuse in here. This is a very dark film. I'm not sure what kind of message it was trying to send, or if it was even trying to send one. Is it worth your time? Well, if you're not easily disturbed then maybe.
For some reason I can't stand watching people chew gum and that's pretty much all Won Tae Hee's character did lol. Tbh, I didn't like this film. The part where they kept on leaving each other out of frustration/anger and then chasing each other and then leaving each other again felt very repetitive. Besides the gum chewing and the repetitive story telling, the plot itself seemed to be lacking. I have no problem watching something slow-paced, but this was missing a certain depth/charisma to it that makes the leisure approach in film worthwhile.
Expectations are everything before watching this. It's a slow-paced melodrama that focuses on a young man's loneliness. It is NOT a BL. It isn't even bromance. This will be a worthwhile watch if you head into it fully aware of that. Shiwoo is extremely lonely. He has no friends or family and lives alone. He is desperate to feel loved/cared about by someone so when Hajoon starts to give him a little notice, he latches onto him becoming a bit obsessed. When Hajoon pulls back and becomes more aloof, Shiwoo can't handle it and things spiral downwards from there.
It's here with english subs; https://ok.ru/video/1817051597381
