The *SOUL SHIFTER Shaman Choi* is not his mom. Thatâs what he was referring to. If he was a concubines son he would be MUCH more insecure about his position and the threat of the Kings Star. He is a SEO decendant (thatâs how he has powers unlike his dad) and Yulâs cousin with the backing of the SEO mage family. Itâs GYJ voice however your overall point believe it or not is still VERY SALIENT.
Why?
1. Only GYJ fans even knew it was her voice. Most of us didnât figure it out until episode 11 or 13âŠ.and most casual watchers have NO IDEA itâs GJY voice. Because they are SO SIMILAR to the average person. So the interior monologue voice really doesnât matter if itâs point is to remind us that Naksu is not Jung So Min. If a very large majority of viewers cannot tell the two voices apart itâs failed to do what it was intended to do for most of the audience.
2. Along with the voices being extremely similar, they have not used GYJ VISUALLY much at all if they strategically wanted to keep it at the forefront of peoples minds that NAKSU is still GYJ even in her own minds image. Other body swap dramaâs/movies have ways that they interweave the visual images to remind the viewers regularly. AOS has not done that.
So it will be extremely JARRING to the average viewers if all of a sudden Jang Uk is now being romantic with GYJ, I know GYJ /Naksu fans donât feel this way but itâs common sense that millions of people have watched Jung So Min and Jae Wook fall in love and if *either* actor is changed it doesnât matter âthat itâs her soulâ âŠâŠ after 18 episodes Jang Uk has never seen Naksu a day in his life and the audience will not just easily adjust to her being GYJ and not JSM.
It is what it is. We will see what the writers have in store for us but I think everyone should delete the rumors from their brains and not have any expectations of whatâs to come because there is no real confirmation about anything đ€
One more thing to discuss about Jin Mu/Jang Gang Naksu Dad flashback *See below*
In the flashback JinMu says that Cho Cheong threatened to reveal Jang Ukâs secret if Jin Mu didnât teach him Alchemy of Souls. So Jin Mu tough Cho Cheong AOS to protect Jang Uks secret and then had to kill him because he ran wild.
How is this lie believable? Cho Cheong was Jang Uks best friend. I find it hard to believe he would threaten to reveal Jang Uks secret.
So âŠâŠ JinMu lied to Jang Gang. My question isâŠ. Jin Mu knew that Jang Gang & the King switched bodies. Did he also know about the Kings star or did he use AOS on Naksuâs Dad to switch someone into his body to gain access to the chart and thatâs how he found out?
Or is there another missing piece to the puzzle behind why JinMu had him killed that we donât know yet?

The only reason I didnât interpret it that way is because the real queen is a SEO /Yulâs aunt and CP regularly talks about the fact that they are cousins on that side and in this drama at least it was always implied CP is half Seo, not a concubines son. I know that typically the Queen can essentially adopt/take in the concubines son and treat them as their own son but I just didnât get the impression CP wasnât actually from the SEO lineage/family on his moms side.

My theory is that the essence/point of the story is to see if The Kings Star & Naksu are the destined ones to be responsible for the Ice Stone. This is all a test for them both. For her, can she give up vengeance, give up being strong, the most powerfulâŠ.. to save the people around her (like she did today) For Uk, itâs can he also give up power, give up being a king, give up everything to save who he loves. Honestly I made my original comment as sort of an LOL @ how unsentimental he is not as some criticism or even major commentary but now Iâm also wondering what he actually meant since I thought he was just referring to the shifter not being his bio mom.

The main reason I donât think they will make og Naksu the lead for part 2 is because most watchers are casual watchers. They arenât obsessed with details and the intricacies and following every theory like we are, they have spent 20 episodes invested in the physical body of JSM and Uk and for the vast majority of the audience they have not shown enough differentiation of the soul vs body with OG Naksu scenes that it would be entirely too stark of a transition for audiences. IMO based on other previous body swaps, they use both bodies /actors regularly throughout to remind the audience visually of the original person. In AOS they have literally almost never done this, and my belief is that part of the story is Naksu sacrificing her previous life as Naksu for love. And that includes sacrificing the body which is gone. It was a shadow. Had âthe rumorâ never come out people would not remotely be thinking she gets her old body back so I feel like people are twisting themselves into pretzels to find a way it would be true but I just think either it wasnât true or it was purposely leaked to play with people /divert people.
All the casual watchers I know will flip TF out of the female lead is OG Naksu actress in a romantic relationship with Uk no matter if itâs the same soul. They just wonât like it and I canât imagine TV executives not taking that into account đ€·đ»ââïž
