Yeah no way I'm not dropping my rating after this episode. I just can't frikking believe the start of this epi?? like you gave so much importance to the whole metal ball shooter thing and showed a heap of flashbacks and gave TOO much screentime to Dong Hui & his sis, and this is how you end it??! some crap floating in the water flashback cgi and a "this is how it ends." ?! what in the world. where is the resolution, the explanation, the talk, the punishment, the repentance.

sure, make him k word himself and take the easy writing route out. FINE. but give me a climax that's worthy of all the hours spend on this character. two great actors and they couldn't give us a more emotional, powerful and impactful scene that could have driven home whatever message they wanted to give instead of a stupid voice over repeating it! so so disappointed.

enjoyable & light, cute drama overall. just dragged a lot after ep10. could have wrapped it all up in 10/12eps honestly. with 16 they had to include a lot of filler scenes. but I wonder what actually happened to the crazy lady? I thought her track was only getting started, but she vanished just like that. also no more mention of the ex manager either.

throughout this ep, all I wanted to do was give each of these kids a tight, reassuring, beary hug. the strength it must take to be a student, to go through all that, and survive. also, thanks to geon hu for being the sunshine in these dark, dreary times. the way he helped sunjae 🥺

oh same, this is me. I wish I don't figure these things out too so I can act as shocked as the characters 😂 I have been reading a lot of posts since the start on twitter and reddit, and someone figured it out the first ep, which is crazy to me. kudos to them cuz I dismissed that theory initially. Ig it's still fun to watch others who were in denial come to terms with the reveal haha.

omg his mom throwing that glass of water at him shocked me. literally gasped as I didn't expect that extent of abuse. can't even blame the kid for turning out the way he did. he never got the help and care he needed.

exactly. the story started from her being abandoned. the story has to end with her finding her real family, or realising she has always had them. her trauma from being an abandoned child was an important plot point.

but i think it's a point that needs to be addressed too. the story started from her being abandoned at her grandmother's shop. also probably a way to make haeyi stand up to her and move on from her original trauma of being an abandoned child. the whys and what nots.

tbh I don't think the point was even to make the mystery unpredictable. the writer imo is more or less using this as a plot device to get the message across about exam pressures, parental issues, stress and resulting mental health problems in students (I'm sure this needn't be stated even). they did leave clues all along for us to figure out mr ji. and tbh many only caught up at the half way point, and that too mostly due to several discussions and analysis here, and that's not too bad.

you might be forgetting the phone thief incident with jaewoo. CCY was constantly complaining and didn't inform Mr Ji about his visits to the banchan shop (in disguise too) until after the metal ball incident, at the police station. from mr ji's pov she was troubling him over it

this one is not a plot hole. CCY was, back then, bothered by the whole phone thief incident and altercation at the hospital. Mr Ji saw that, and all his actions are to make those who trouble CCY disappear. He didnt know CCY was there cuz CCY was going to the banchan shop secretly and in disguise, Mr ji didn't know this. if indeed he recognised CCY there, the ball was still aimed at NHS because at that point she was kinda physically strangling him lol. don't think this is a plot hole at all

wow amazing episode. the show in general, but this episode especially, was so well written and directed. and the acting? wow there's not a single weak link there. amazing. the strength of a well made show is to make YOU feel everything the characters do, and oh boy did we go through a rollercoaster today.

@Elephant28 oh this is one of my favourite comments here. ❤️ you are absolutely right, age means nothing. it's bizarre to see people focusing on that aspect so much. there really is no rule book where rules change as you age. and some are so adamant that theirs is the only right opinion, it is impossible to make them see differently.

also istg I'm mad at whoever thought it was a good idea to promote this as a rom com and name it crash course in romance. well they did catch viewers with that strategy so there's that.

I love how direct NHS is. when she caught mr ji - straight up confrontation. assertive with CCY too. belief in her vision and intuition. no would he, could he. i love her.

huh? but hui jae doesn't know where Mr Ji lives, or where the metal balls were delivered. he would have went there to investigate earlier if he had known

this show is well crafted. We get to know CCY's past and Suyeon's incident in Ep6. Now in Ep12, history repeats itself. CCY should actually be the first one to catch on to what's going on. he has been there, so he could help both Haeyi & Sunjae this time. he isn't powerless like in the past.

yeah I'm kinda sad. but it would have been jarring if they tried to continue that with the current plot. ig we will prolly now get resolution in the last ep.
