It's getting old that the eight branch is just going back to the Li family to be yelled at while only two people don't want them there. Two people who are just loosing the family money and prestige. Yet the people who asked the eight branch there can't open their mouth against them. Ridiculous. That "vile spawn" was overdue.

She married a Li but she has always been a Tian. Even in E01, she has shown 'greed for power' personality. Li Xhen's grandfather won the Ink tribute but she wanted her husband to sit next to the Emperial envoy, etc.
When her husband died, she lost the only way she could have some power, she went crazy.

Why is that bitter 4th aunt allowed to be so bossy and overbearing? She is a widowed daughter-in-law with no sons, she’s not supposed to have that much power. Grandma is wrong for never reprimanding her.

While I understand the sentiment of wanting to watch something for romance, but you can't expect 2 people who have not met in years to smooch on each other s face by the next time they meet either

who said that there will be no romance in this drama? you stopped at ep 7 where the ml and fl just had a brief encounter after 10 plus years. ever heard about storytelling? btw it's a historical business romance drama and not a purely rom com with your favorite hot idol. lol

The fact is that the ml was only introduced recently and yes there will be romance but not much hence it being third placed in the genres

people here are upset because ML didn't recognize FL until she mentioned her name. We can't blame him ,he's only seen her once in his life. There's no way you can recognize a person you've only seen once 13 years ago.

the aunt is so annoying like there’s no excuses anymore about her actions. She’s literally selling the family secrets out of anger and fear Li Zhen will rise higher than the main branch family. As she should be fearfully. Li Zhen has a pure concision and a determined spirit. The uncle needs to grow a back bone and stand up to the aunt. but some spoilers I saw on Weibo suggest he will change. Loving the blossoming relationship between the leads. I love how he allows her to do what she wants but also helps her and protects her.
