I'm currently halfway through ep 23, and I need Hao Ming to LOCK IN with his attempts at reconciliation. He needs to actually apologize to Xu Yan and talk it through with her instead of whatever manipulative playing the victim shit he's pulling rn. I want to actually see that he's in love and not just that he's used to her being around. I can feel it a little, but I need more to actually support them being together. Him getting his frontal lobe back and grovelling a little might help that a bit. Also, the evil corporate villain plot was SO unnecessary in this show since we already have so much going on, but I hope that gets wrapped up soon, cause I need at LEAST one episode dedicated fully to their happy ending. But by the amount of filler they're putting into the last few episodes, I have a bad feeling that the ending is going to be rushed. I just hope we get express this weekend so I can get off this emotional rollercoaster and be happy that Lusi finally aired a drama after so long and patiently wait for the next one.
Idk how to feel about the recent episodes. I agree with some of the comments that SHMâs behaviour is childish. I get that they try to show us how SHM remembers little things about XY, like her phone number etc. But I feel like the plot is all over the place. Some scenes are so random. Idk what messages the director and writer try to convey. I would prefer XY and SHM to have a proper conversation like they did in the resort. Judging from the preview until episode, it looks like the tone of the story is still the same. Iâm still hopeful that they will show us proper resolutions for SHM & XYâs relationship, Haochenâs birth secret, XY & her parentsâ relationship and XY and SHMâs family relationship.
This drama had so much promise and then just took a dive with ep 19.... My venting below with spoilers:
I unfortunately agree. For me itâs the change in tone though. It went from melodrama to 100% Romcom & doesnât even feel like the same show anymore. The moment they dressed up as Barbie & Ken I was given a huge whiplash. It got silly out of nowhere & it just kept on getting sillier & sillier. Writing 101, donât all of a sudden change your storyâs genre.

I feel sorry for Fang Lei to be completely obsessed over a man that could care less. And why is she always intoxicated?…
I'd love for these delusional, narsisistic, mentally ill, entitled and dangerous male and female charcteres to get handled properly too. There's so many people in the comments alone that think Fang Lei is just an annoying woman, when she needs treatment and a restraining order, or that Lin Tao is a poor heartbroken man, when he is abusive, needs therapy and a restraining order.

1. I am so over MLs acting emotionally immature as a way to "get the FL back." This is not a high school…
Sure, we can say that this is what's happening in his psychology.
The crux of my frustration lies in this: It's one thing to love someone. It's another to actually show it in constructive, healthy ways. If someone cannot show their love in healthy ways, is it really love? My Asian mother constantly criticizes my body because she says that this is how she shows love. Men control women all the time under the pretense of "love." The list goes on.
Shen Hao Ming, as of ep. 22, has not shown me that his actions match his supposed love. Over and over again, he undermines and disrespects her. Respect is the foundation of love. Ladies, let's not gaslight ourselves into believing that a man loves us without seeing the actions to match.

1. I am so over MLs acting emotionally immature as a way to "get the FL back." This is not a high school story or a story of 20-somethings. Shen Haoming is a grown ass man. Instead of communicating and acting in earnest ways to win her back, he is effectively a grown man pulling a grown woman's pigtails - it's disrespectful to her and mind-numbingly immature. Ladies, are we seriously finding this kind of immaturity acceptable or, God forbid, cute? You know what would've been so refreshing to see on camera? Shen Haoming respecting her wishes for a divorce instead of using childish tactics to drag it out; they get divorced and then he earnestly reflects on himself and how to win her back from ground zero. THAT is the drama I want to see. Not this middle school shit.
2. Ep. 22 - WTF. Fang Lei needs to go. And then her "bodyguard/Shen Haoming's lawyer" kissing her when she's drunk and vulnerable? And then she goes along with it? So effed up on so many levels.
3. At ep. 22, I still have no solid sense that Shen Haoming actually loves Yan Yan. It's just all ego, games, manipulation, petty jealousy, and head-to-toe immaturity from his end at this point still. BLARGHHH.
So many dislikeable characters in this drama...hey Anyway, at least SHM's mom reflected on her bad deeds and showed regret...but then, hmmm she needs to apologise to the right person. The rest of these parents are clowns, like for real. Especially XY's parents...really disgusting. At this point I only like Xu Yan, Hao Chen, granny (also other granny with dementia) and the doctor. The rest, either I don't care or don't like. So we see Lawyer has turned to the dark side after having some Feng Lei koochie...wow, this gal is dangerous. For the life of me, I will never understand anyone who will want their dead sister's ex-boyfriend. Just imagine, your sister's boyfriend's pipi went into her vivi and here produced a child. And you still want him....that's disgusting....like eeek. Can I just ship Xu Yan with herself cause at this point, noone seem to really love her the way I think she deserves....

The Fires of Cooking: Hua Xiao Chu (2020) (Chef Hua); Royal Feast (2022) ... and many other historical, modern, and mini-dramas have plots in which food is central.
The dramas world isn't limited to Kdrama!
(Most likely this drama, Chang An Xiao Fan Guan/Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, finished filming earlier than "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty". Unfortunately, Cdramas go through a complicated process of obtaining a broadcast license before they premiere.)
