Love the relationship between the girls! Love how Ye Tan is all "Eh I don't need your help. I don't like your hanky. Ok I'll take it anyway" to her sister, while Qing Kui just has a knowing smile.
It's so cute how they love each other so much but Ye Tan is all "You're annoying, I don't care, I'm just going along with this and being nice to you because I have nothing bbetter to do."
The scene with the girls when they were young in the rain was so touching. How Ye Tan scoffs at Qing Kui but shoves the umbrella at her to make sure she doesn't get wet. Qing Kui watching Ye Tan walk off and just knowing that her sister is a badass.
I'm actually loving An and his growth! I hope he gets a love interest at the end. I've grown fond of him. The writing for him is excellent and the actor is really good too!
Nothing wrong with the main couple YZ and LW but I find the little moments between Qi and Zheng far more compelling.
Likewise I also find YY and LW more compelling than the main romance.
It's actually really funny because I think when they introduced YY people were worried it would be a love triangle etc. For me personally I love YY and LW but I find that I've enjoyed their scenes and relationship more than Zheng and LW.
It doesn't affect my rating of the show though as I still think it's a fabulous show but it has affected my view of the main romance in this series.
How is him being married affecting the story.? I stopped because Of that. Has it caused problems does he sleep…
The new wife is amazing and she’s more like the husband in the relationship who dotes on FL. She teaches and helps FL a lot and dotes on FL like FL is her favourite wife. It’s super cute!
They also write it so that the new wife and ML find each other completely uninspiring. Really the only thing they have in common as that they have a deal and they both adore FL.
Up to ep17. Love LW and YY. Loved how LW was clinging onto YY and trying to get her to go to Mo Chuan with them. I really love the writing for this. FL has plenty of faults but people acknowledge them. They also acknowledge her charms. Like a scene earlier when YY tells LW to stop trying to charm her. Or when YY got sick and LW did the accounts next to her so she would calm down and rest.
Likewise YY is amazingly but she has faults too (too intense).
Hhahah I don’t ship them but I find the friendship so appealing. Likewise the brotherhood between 3, 5 and 6. It just makes the entire drama very watchable.
Having finished an epic xin xia I am loving this series. I like the romance in this but I can watch and enjoy everyone, even the weirdo 3rd Prince An.
I'm only up to episode 13. Love love love this drama! I don't view it as a romance, more of a fun family show.
One of my favorite relationships is 5th and 6th Prince. They don't fuss about it but they really love each other and they're so cute and supportive of each other. It's the little things like how 5th is terrible but he's so worried when 6 gets a tummy ache.
Love the sisterhood too. Adored how LW could butter up the very rigid and stern YY. It was so amusing for me to see the very stoic YY soften up.
One thing that perplexes and dismays me is Hao Jia's mistake in choosing a husband. Poor thing. She REALLY made a mistake there. She would have been MUCH MUCH MUCH better off with the silly but good natured 5th prince. He's super cute with his badass wife but Hao Jia would have had it easy with him.

Yeah probably not for me. I was just so shocked at how atrocious her acting was. Usually all the female leads do a passable job even if it's not magnificent. She was just so bad!!! And I've seen plenty of clueless heroines who are played by actresses who can act so I think the character wasn't an issue here. The execution was just appalling. There was a clip of her laughing and it was the fakest, most amateur thing I've ever seen. Even the extras do better!!! Shocker! Anyways best I stay away!
