Some people really hate it but it's hilarious!!!! It's super super silly but really fun. Very different vibe to IS so I reckon it's a great drama to switch to if you want to switch modes.
Rewatching and up to the scenes where she's taking care of YY when he's poisoned! Gawd he was high maintenance 🤣
Loved the coffin scene though. The aesthetic at the beginning with YD perched on the coffin while YY was trying it out was priceless.
You could see the cheerful YD slowly start to fade though.
I really appreciate these scenes second time around. I've seen 1-6 too many times to list but I'm now seeing the Land Under the Horizon scenes with new light. It was strangely part comedy, part romance, part tragedy.

I LOVE Zhao Lu Si but I could not stomach those dramas.
WRTW aside from being boring as heck had an incompetent male lead who was too busy trying to look handsome to act. Even Lu Si could not save that one!
I was waiting for LLTG for months. Tried to watch it with full concentration, too boring. Tried to watch it while on treadmill, too boring and almost fell asleep so was dangerous on treadmill. Finally tried to watch it while cooking, too boring to even cook to. That drama was akin to perpetual beige.

I’m back to rewatching my favourite scenes from this series.
I went off and tried to watch another xianxia. FL actress was great, ML alternated between handsome confused and handsome self conscious. Soooooo bad. Like would it kill you to get into character?
At this point even with the poor ending I will keep rewatching this for the acting of the leads! Bless YZ and CY for being able to act!

It had its great moments and the acting from the leads is impeccable. But yeah I thought the ending was lousy. I did enjoy it and probably would still chose this over something with better cgi/story but poor acting.

So my head cannon says that he insisted on marry her exactly like that because that's always been his vision of how he should marry her.
It also makes sense with his character too. He's always been heavy on responsibly etc. I can see him insisting on a wedding like that to be proper.
