And that’s how the novel ends (that’s when everyone had a meltdown on chinese and russian forums lmao), BUT THEN in the extra there is a reveal that Zhen Xin and Zhang Zhun are real and got married in Canada. They’re now besties of Fang Chi and Gao Zhun, so the truth is they’ve acted in their own biography that contains their future friends’ biography. So the movie was based on ZX&ZZ reality whose love story started bc of Fang Chi telling his and GZ’s story to a screenwriter. And the last extra ends with Fang Chi talking with Zhen Xin on a phone about him and Gao Zhun just getting married in Canada too and they agree to go on double date.

Funniest fact is also that Zhang Zhun & Gao Zhun are indeed very close in characters same as Fang Chi & Zhen Xin and in real life Gao Zhun interestingly always sides with Zhen Xin and got very mad when Zhang Zhun made him cry (it was one of my fav moments when Zhen Xin breaks down in tears in front of Zhang Zhun saying “I can’t bare it any longer, I can’t breathe I can’t contain it anymore I just want to be with you” and ZZ is in shock seeing him cry so hard he asks “if you want just my body you can have it tonight, maybe it’ll help” but ZX says “it’s not enough it’ll never be enough” and ZZ happily says “you’re too greedy” 🤣). But Fang Chi on the other hand always protects Zhang Zhun which is hilarious. And at the end when Fang Chi talks with Zhen Xin, he jokes to Gao Zhun that Zhen Xin is his crush and Gao Zhun responds with “as if Zhang Zhun is not yours” and Fang Chi says “do not be jealous, you forever tied me to yourself now so I’m only yours” 🤣

All in all it’s a wild ride and emotional rollercoaster, that was me not even starting on how both of the couples got together bc that was a hot journey where poor Zhen Xin & Fang Chi barely survived 💀🔥

no but for real, I’m not even exaggerating, I’ve read too much cbl novels, but to this day I still remember the moment I finished reading this and me rereading the page thinking my eyes deceived me and “it’s 4am you’re probably hallucinating” lmao bc throughout the whole book due to the description you really think you’re reading what you’re reading no catch. like a hotly written story about how immersing into acting can blur the lines and fuck up your reality, I really didn’t think that at the end I’d need a spinning top from Inception 💀🤣 so applause to the author. They distracted me with all the insanely good written sex scenes 🌚

I really at first went “omfg I’m a fool, the author fooled me” but then I continued reading to the extras and I went “oh thank god” and then I thought what a genius concept truly. Bc it seems like a simple plot, right? wrong 🤣

I’m just seeing all the comments about some people going that they’re more invested in one part and not the other, some say the opposite and say they’re more invested in roles they’re playing and I’m just happy that while reading I was so invested in both and while it goes one chapter “Zhen Xin/Zhang Zhun” the other “Fang Chi/Gao Zhun” 50/50, my brain was immersed in both, bc if it wasn’t I’d be totally fucked at the end tbh. I want to yell at some commenters “you don’t get it”, but then I also didn’t get it so I have no rights to be mad 🤣

bc if they stick to the novel ending’s unexpected twist, I feel like everyone’s mind will explode here and I really want to see that, will be lots of screaming of “WHAAAAAAAT?!!!” 🤯 and I hope they will keep the incredible mindfuck intact

and if you read the novel until the end, but haven’t read extras, you need to read the last extra bc then you will go “WHAAAAAAT?” again and will be shooked thinking how you need to reread or rethink it all over again with all this info bc what the actual fuck

I’m so happy everyone in the beginning of the episode dropped the dad and made it clear that either he accepts it or he will be alone. Krit leaving them both and not visiting them until they finally understood and came to them was very satisfying to watch.

I’m still a bit upset about them not including Wayu protecting Krit in front of dad, but Krit not wanting Wayu to interact with him until the dad gets his brains together was super sweet. I agree with Foei when she said to Wayu “it’s on you now, you can fight with him, love is all about bravery”, but sadly I could feel that writers are still a bit stuck on the top/bottom trope where we cannot let bottom actively protecting the top, only the opposite. I guess Wayu being scared as he said here (book Wayu never was scared of the dad) they found more suitable than him being aggressively protective of his man which would be too unusual. But it was still nice to see Wayu wanting to go with Krit to dad, but Krit going “nah nah nah you’re staying home, this is not worth it” 🤣 protective as always ❤️ “I will only marry Wayu. I hope you keep personal stuff out of professional, if that’s all I’m leaving..” was the best.

About family dinners and forgiving we all predicted it, so it’s okay lol (I mean not okay obviously, we deserved book ending imo where it shows that you shouldn’t care for homophobic parents but I understand the media culture). I absolutely LOVED Wayu and Krit forgetting mom in the room while Wayu was cooing how proud of Krit he is and her going “I’m also there” and them not telling everyone they got married winking at eo haha They’re the best precious, that’s how you do it. Fuck everyone else, live happily in your own world lol

Ofc can’t get enough of Singto and his dads, I’m always on the floor they fed us so well this episide, the voice message of his asking Krit to pick him up 😭😭😭 They kept all the happiness of epilogue and much more, I’m so grateful for it, I was afraid they won’t show enough happy!! But I’m 🫠

P. S. Words about Krit his whole life living only for other people and it’s time for him for the first time in his life to be happy were not mom’s, but Wayu’s in the novel 🥲

I’m sorry I’m stuck on the aftercredits dance off in the precinct and the bar where “Krit” is doing a hip roll and winking in the Moonlit and “Wayu” turning to rub on him 🤣🤣🔥

The whole point of their wonderful story is that they both rescue each other out of the dead-end life situations and free each other. It’s not supposed to be one-sided like many BLs live to do. When one gives and the other is just there. We all joke about Wayu falling in love with Krit since the first day he saved his life and saved him from becoming a prostitute (which is true), but it’s not just about him saving his life multiple times, if Krit didn’t return his sister and saved her from abuser, if he didn’t push Wayu get back into university, it would all end tragically. He would stay on this job, got serious health problems like in the book, without Wai mom would never got any job and Singto would be without mom and education, mom would certainly kill Wayu by getting him into prostitution due to needing even more money and Wayu being naive that he is would just die somewhere under some psycho dude while drinking god knows what bc he trusts everyone. Krit breathed life back into him and made sure he was safe in every aspect. So like Wai said this dad situation is Wayu’s turn to fight back for Krit and protect him for once. “he’s done so so much for you, it’s time for you to show him how you feel too”. It’s also very sweet and actually very sad because it was said that Wayu was actually the ONLY person who wanted to give Krit love back. Others only took. That’s why Krit finally decided for the first time in his life that maybe just maybe he deserves something good too. And while the fight with dad here will never be satisfactory in terms that writers I assume as usual decided not to punish him in any way (I’d be glad if something happens in ep12 but I doubt it due to as we already discussed cultural problematics), his main punishment was the fact that Krit and Wayu were happy. If it helps after two years of being extremely happy together, Wayu said that he already doesn’t care about dad not accepting them and that once a month he can’t stand to be in one room with them when they visit, bc Krit is so incredible that with such amazing boyfriend bad family means nothing 🤣

spoiler: he was sure that Krit is his person for life since episode number 1 and 1st page of the book 🤣🤣🤣

I do think book Wayu is too progressive for thai media tho 🤣 I’ve read a LOT of Chinese and Thai novels and I’d say that you mostly won’t meet characters who’d yell at the parents (of their boyfriend especially!!!), I think it is definitely considered as inappropriate and wild behavior in asian culture. From the top of my head I can’t even remember anyone doing that. I’m also curious about Thai audience question. That’d be interesting if Wayu screamed at the dad and one side of the audience went “oh no, we cannot relate to that”. Like how deep does it go in 2026 I’m wondering also.

He was in a coma for TWO MONTHS in a book (I think it was much shorter here), it causes muscles atrophy and patients need physical therapy to regain mobility and at first unable to move and walk. If you were in a coma up to 2 weeks, you’d need at least a week of therapy to regain walking ability, but if you were in a coma for 1 months sadly it can take up to a freaking YEAR for some to start moving normally again depends on your body. In fact he got up way too fast I assume out of will to see Wayu who he was upset disappeared right after he woke up 🤣 So inability to walk for a bit has nothing to do with his spine. Thank god. Because if he got shot in the back like Palm and became partially disabled for some time, he would also not come back, because with his way of thinking he’s a disability to Wayu’s life as it is 💀
