Hmmm… ghosts but human is in charge of murders and the main character wrongly accused threw me back into GBYFD just because it’s my latest obsession that I can’t get over yet, it’s where my head is rn lol. Bodyguard trope and Daou’s character supposedly being a protective puppy, while Offroad’s being sneakyass reminds me ThanPheem who I also adore tho the series was hilarious at times, but that’s my fav dynamics they’ve played actually. Throw this in a historical setting with a great cast and plot (hopefully) looks like fun. And I don’t mind not fully focused on romance part if it’s true, sometimes depends on the writing and acting supposedly not focused on romance turned out to be even more romantic than some fully focused on romance series in which I sometimes somehow couldn’t care less for the relationships. The concept looks interesting at least.

I didn’t get who was described as “dirty-minded” out of 2 characters description, but I’ll assume it’s Kanfah 🤣

ironically what Yu Jiang (Kelvin) did to ShengSheng (Veir) sadly reminds me of what Sky’s ex did to him and for what Prapai castrated and k*led him lol

I have a lot of toxics I adore and I don’t mind the dark romance genre in any form, but I’ve notice that personally I’m only enjoying watching when the crazy one or the yandere is the “protective” kind (putting it in quotes for a reason haha). So some things I just cannot look past and giving up your “loved” one to be gang-raped is absolutely 1000% not my type of shit 💀 somehow I can easily survive non-consent when it’s to say in a bubble like with Hua Yong, but if Hua Yong let his precious Sheng to be violated by a group of people, I would instantly be like “nah that’s not for me, I’m exiting”.

So as much as I appreciate something new and challenging to portray, I admit that its not my kind of characters to follow. That novel is very badly written it true, so I’ll watch next few episodes maybe to see how they will change stuff since clearly it’s not the same (if they change how he got the scar I might consider lol), but I also gotta say that I’m not a big fan of the atmosphere here, performances are great and all, but the atmosphere is not giving. I’d rather it maybe created a darker one by the good soundtrack and different direction, but I’m not sure it’s giving the vibes it’s supposed to give for those who would go for this specific genre. But maybe it’s only two episodes and it will change, but so far the cheerfulness of the ost and the in general lighter vibes directions are throwing me off a bit.

That’s the problem, they actually do not progress as you say. My point is that they’re not trying to change and not investing money in BLs. NLMG didn’t get enough money not bc back then GMM wasn’t as popular and P’Jojo wouldn’t let out many sponsorships into the series, he dies f like product placement. Look at My Golden Blood (BL) and compare its special effects to Midnight Museum (non BL). It’s day and night. They simply do not want to give it bc why bother, if you can instead get 3 of your popular pairings just acting on school campus most of the time. None of their BLs will ever get huge budget, not gonna be any high quality action or good quality of supernatural. And not because they cannot do it. They can, just not for BLs.


And once again they’re no longer the same company as they were. They never were and ever in the past established themselves as a romcom company. It’s their latest invention. But I do agree with you thar now it’s the part of their personality sadly. But again smart from the money standpoint. It’s a choice to become that and not the “we always were like that”.

If you’re thinking GMMTV then no (thank god lol), but both One31 and GMMTV are owned by GMM Grammy conglomerate same as most of the Thai entertainment industry

but he’s already doing too much, other characters on his background look useless, you gotta give them something too, at least one piece for 4 ppl lol

and Thup here became more complex thinking than he is in the novel and I really love how he’s also a historical encyclopaedia, which is very hot for me personally, he reminded me of Wu Xie when he starts talking 😌

and also Thup in the novel most of his actions/guesses are accidental, same as him mostly unintentionally at the beginning getting what he wants and affecting Singha bc he’s a cute puppy. here he uses it all intentional and with a purpose which is omg 10 times hotter and interesting lmao (but that’s again my opinion). here he’s running more on smarts than accidents at least so far

also this talk just reminded me like… remember how in Harry Potter fans were mad that everything that Ron and Harry came up with in the movies were given to Hermione, even tho all their guesses was split equally in the books and it made Ron basically useless for most of movies, here it’s the opposite, as in most characters in the novel were not very useful to investigation, I think it’s actually smart to give them at least a small bit, so I’m not really mad about that part tbh bc in the novel I didn’t care for most other ppl there lol

it’s okay to think they’re doing the best the can, I don’t mind. I know all the process of working of Thai companies, GMM the most tho, even spent way too much time in the Asoke legendary building itself and the editing teams. That’s what I said, but they didn’t use what the professional writer wrote for THK tho at the end. Yes, JittiRain’s novels are always there each year, that’s why I said they do not change their circle.

I know many say this about GMM fans being young audience but imo it’s an old take already since they’re owning 80% of the BL/GL Thai market now and might eat more. It’s just their laziness and greediness mostly, bc why produce anything high quality if you can’t produce 10 low quality and fans of the pairings still give you money.

Again they do produce darker themed show once in a hundred years. But NLMG can never get a budget, just like I’m 100% sure that next year Offgun dark show won’t get any Kinnporsche budget either. That is again bc they do too much too fast and no, there’s no such thing as someone saying them that they need to make 100 shows or the deal is off. It’s just their choice. There are plenty stuff to show on Thai TV. There were times we lived on reruns even. It’s normal, since as you say yourself you can never guess what production troubles you’ll meet with this unpredictable industry.

But then again, they do not need to change, ppl will eat this anyways, so it’s all art strategy. I’m actually shocked it’s working considering how far some other companies go to create something original and new and high quality, but ppl always run to GMM’s cheap high school dramas first. So they must be doing everything right. But last year they lost me. Which no one cares ofc lol it’s just whiny me. I wish them all the luck and all the 1500 actors to have food on the table and all future 560 CPs to survive on fans buying the merch lol

I actually also wanted to argue with that since I’ve read it fully. All the action and help starts later there. Here though Thup already did more than in the novel by that point. He’s the only one who gave them most of the important clues, that even dudes from the precinct said Singha’s consultant is the coolest.

And also my fav change is that not only he’s helping, he also got time for scheming how to get Singha all for himself and triggers King on purpose which is hilarious and Thup from the novel didn’t do all that. All in all man is the most productive and multitasking there lol

And I love his attitude of “I will not let anyone kill me, bc my P’Singha has had enough trauma” he’s just.. something else here in a greatest way. Actually both characters are 100 times more interesting than in the book. But I’m ranting already lol

These are actually very rare for such a huge company that ate all. I’m talking about their BLs. Stuff like NLMG, GB, when the novel is written for the show rarely happens. Heart Killers novel that was written before the show has nothing to do with the show, replaced by westernized ripoffs. Most of their shows lately are either remakes of Japan & Korea existing shows, or the novels of same authors that they made a deal with like peachhplease, which are for a very young audience content in terms of plot. They have such problems with ideas that they actually later made a contest for fans to write the scripts, if you haven’t seen it. And the reward is just that they’re gonna use your idea for free. The problem is their desire to make shows for all of their 50 CPs without quality writing just for the sake of making 50 shows with 50 CPs. It’s always quantity over quality. They don’t want to buy any new good quality authors and they can’t write themselves to the point that they want the fans to write for them for free.

And if it happens once in a lifetime the budget is horrendously law. I have not once in all these years seen anything with a budget of Khemjira, Pitbabe, Kinnporsche, Century of Love, etc in GMM BLs. I’m saying it as a GMM ex-fan, who has been with them for 8 years since Offgun’s Puppy Honey. Their future year line up is embarrassing. I’m glad most of their CPs got themselves a job, but at what cost. Ofc it’s alright since shows like We Are & P10L are the most popular ones and ppl love this. But imo it’s lame af. Some of these 10 shows next year could be replaced by one high quality one, but ofc no one will do it otherwise some CP will stuck the conveyer belt lol

not a plot spoiler, but many asked their spicy sex life facts from the novel 🔥:

1. Thup was an inexperienced virgin who is obsessed with pleasing Singha and googled everything for days to learn how to please him. He was worried that if he’s not gonna be good at sex Singha would leave him and Singha said he’s an idiot if he thinks so. But then Thup with his enthusiasm and Singha’s instruction absolutely nailed it (literally too lmao) and they used a whole pack of condoms till dawn. Their bedroom is always destroyed and Singha is all covered in marks from head to toe lmao

2. Thup’s rimming skills are so good that Singha thinks that is quote “what heaven feels like”, he can come in seconds with his tongue in him.

3. Thup really likes to ask after each time “did you like it? DID YOU LIKE IT?!!” with a begging puppy look same as he did on the porch in the last episode. He really needs Singha’s praise and to please please and please him. If Singha refuses to say out loud that he loved it after, Thup starts crying instantly and Singha always panics and starts begging “please, baby, take me again, just don’t cry” (it’s a literal quote) and it’s fucking hilarious 😂

4. They’re really obsessed with each other and I honestly can’t comprehend how Singha is even going to work after their shenanigans. Singha also jokes how thank god he got himself Thup, bc “it’s hard for a 35yo to find himself a young lover, who would fuck him so good.

5. Also one of my fav was that Thup tries with all his might to make Singha quit smoking and one of Singha’s quotes after Thup fucked him for the first time was “fine, no more smoking, I’ll just suck on you instead” lololol

6. Thup is really obsessed with Singha. Like OBSESSED lol man worships the shit out of him. He wants to inhale him for real lol

I’m always confused af about the novels they pick to adapt out of all in the market, but this time they outdid themselves lmao suddenly everything makes sense. Their romcoms as it is always a combo of a shitty basicass novel with added bad fanfiction bits about their pairings playing on fans as it is. And I get that original script writing is too hard for them and they don’t want to waste money on actual good original novel writers’ works too, they only work with same ones, but at least check what you buy jfc lol I feel like soon AI is going to write them to cut the expenses. They really know that putting 3 fanbases in one show is a success already, so anything will do, so who has some random internet script for 5 baht about PPW or TN, send them an email, I’m sure that some crazy fan would want their fic adaptation about GMM actors for free even lol
