You can wait till the whole series is out to actually get the story. This is the beginning and the plot is still…
I've gone out of my way not to say anything bad about the show because I've been fan of Ohm for a long time and want to see him succeed. But I've also watched Thai BL long enough to know that some people can't handle reading constructive criticism and think it's ok to tell others how to watch tv. Discussing your thoughts positive or not positive about a tv show is not a crime. Sharing differing opinions is not a bad thing. Having different perspectives is normal, because all people have lived different lives and had different experiences.

Telling others not to watch a show because they don't love every second of an episode is not helping the actors or the company.
I'm mostly sticking with this series because of my Ohm bias and I think he did a great job in episode 3. It's GMMTV so the low stakes and nice "bad" guys isn't surprising, but it's also not interesting. I'm sure I'll lose my fujoshi membership for thinking this, but the scene with Pym and Ohm was the part of the episode for me. They had great chemistry!
I can't remember the last time I've watched a show every single week that I dread watching as much as this series. Everything is done so well, but it's sooooo painful. Knowing that people like Haoran's mom and Maya actually exist in the world and hurt children is the most depressing thing I can imagine. I just want Haoran, Chihiro and Chihiro's young coworker to be ok, but I have a feeling the end will be the saddest part. 😟
I finished this but felt meh about it throughout the series. Natsume's need to always get his way made me less engaged with his character. The theme of makeup is not something I have any interest in, so maybe that's part of why the story never pulled me in. Overall the show was fine and it's nice to see a unique premise. But I'll forget about the show quickly.
I love horror almost as much as I love BL. I liked the first episode, but the second kept putting me to sleep. The director seems to think that constantly building suspense and having very loud, very grating music in the background in nearly all the scenes is effective storytelling. IMO it's not.
The characters feel more like NPCs than people thrust into an unbelievable and "scary" situation. The person they want us to think is the bad guy is obviously not. And while I think the concept of the series is interesting, I also think it will be hard for me to sit through 8 more episodes of this show.
Every week I watch knowing that it won't get better. Then I'm still shocked when each episode is worse than the last. The dialogue is just the worst! I really wish there were other companies making BLs in the Philippines, the actors deserve soooooo much better than this.
After what happened in episode 3, I didn't think Haoran could be redeemed. Then I watched episode 4 and was reminded that hurt people, hurt people. Now I want to protect him and Chihiro at all costs.
I have a feeling the frog guy is going to hurt them VERY much before this ends. This series was definitely not made for every BL fan, but am so impressed by the storytelling and acting that I know I'll love it. But it's going to probably have alot of difficult moments and few sweet ones.
"Gay love does not end at 30. Gay love isn't always about skinship and sex. People gay and staight can fall in…
This is just my observation, as I've watched "BL" evolve, the focus has gone away from the concept of "love is love" that had always existed in LGBTQ media. And over time the focus became literally boys (or guys under 25) being in love with each other. These series are often not set in the real world, problems are resolved quickly, everyone around the leads cheer on the relationship and sometimes they even get married or at least propose at the end.
These narratives ignore the lived reality for the vast majority of LGBTQ people and some audiences conditioned by the endless stream of fairytales with gay happily ever after stories, often shun or complain when series focus on later stages of life or situations that actually impact real gay people.
IMO many aspects in the evolution and current state of "BL" are very unfortunate, but that's why I appreciate that some companies in some countries consistently tell a variety of stories about gay characters.
Episodes 2-10 were a 10/10 for me. I knew the spin off wouldn't do these characters justice and I was right.
I've never watched a BL that was made better because it included a fujoshi character. After watching the spin off, that is still true. Half the screen time going to a stalker while we barely get to spend time with leads is a BL crime. Maybe this was just set up for a sequel or movie, but I feel let down. When I rewatch the series, I'll probably skip 11.
Wow the first episode was really good. Especially when compared to other Thai BLs with amatuer actors. The characters were introduced well and the plot seems interesting. I'm really looking forward to the next episode.
This show was such a joy to watch and another reminder that we are living in the best era of "BL"! I can remember when there were only a few shows airing at a time, many didn't have subs and the small audiences watched any and every BL, because those were the only gay stories being told. Now every story isn't about boys or fairytale romances. So many countries are giving audiences stories about gay men and gay boys, some complex, some simple, some innocent, some sad and the variety is beautiful.
Gay love does not end at 30. Gay love isn't always about skinship and sex. People gay and staight can fall in love with people who are different from them and that love can last. Most societies have judged gay relationships no matter if there was an age gap or not. But when it's two consenting adults living their lives and loving each other that is beautiful to me.
This series was not my favorite, but I appreciated it and I really loved the later episodes. All of the characters were wonderful and the sincerity of the story was very touching throughout. I recommend this to anyone who likes Japanese slice of life stories about adult characters. If you don't enjoy those types of stories, that's fine as well. There are plenty of other shows to watch.
