I was scrolling through the comments because I enjoy reading what others thought, and came across the account…
Hi random stranger, thank you for the laughs. The funny thing is that I really planned to block them a few hours ago, but I got pulled into meetings at work. When I checked my phone again, there they were whining about me and MDL.
I guess it's good that I didn't praise FirstKhao in my post above or they would have gotten even more upset 🤣. I'm so used to people like that on here that I've come to expect someone to get mad whenever I post a comment. I know MDL wasn't like that a few years ago, but things have changed.
You and your comrades didn't like it doesn't mean all the "viewers" disliked so talk only about your opinion instead…
Wow! I got busy with life and you responded before I even had time to block you. I said, "Again EarthMix, all the other actors and the viewers deserved soooooooo much better!!!" Me saying they deserve better is not pity, it is my opinion. Working on a project that does not succeed in terms of viewership and social media reach impacts the money the actors make. As I have said repeatedly, I want them to be successful. Just because any fan likes or dislikes a series does not mean it will or won't be a success. But the numbers don't lie. You misconstruing what I said does not make your comment factual. GMMTV is a business and shows/actors that make shows with high viewership/social media engagement get better opportunities than ones who don't. That is a fact.
I'm not forcing or asking anyone to agree with my opinion. Ok you don't enjoy MDL and for whatever reason my post upset you so much that you decided to reply. Fine, thank you for the pointless argument. I have no idea what you thought you would gain from this back and forth, but I believe I have provided enough information to back up what I said.
I know I can't have a rational conversation with an irrational person and your performance today has not made me love EarthMix any less. I truly never want to interact with you again, so now I am blocking you. I hope you don't try to disrupt other people's days on here like you tried to disrupt mine. Especially since you have repeatedly said that you don't enjoy MDL. I'm sure there are plenty of discord fan sites that would be happy to have you. Bye!

I don't care enough about your opinion to waste my time reading all of it. I never said everyone hated the show and I never said I pitied EarthMix. You seem to be misreading what I actually wrote because you want to go after someone who disagrees with you.
"And who even enjoys MDL?" Clearly you don't and I know misery loves company. But I won't be the person to argue with you, so I'm just gonna block you because I don't feel like spending anymore time or effort engaging with someone so triggered by a comment on a message board for a tv series. Bye.

If I'm not a core fan idk who is but whatever. No matter what I wrote, I knew someone would have a problem with it. That's your right and me sharing my opinion the way I want to is my right as well. One would think that low viewership and low social media engagement would be an indication that many people didn't like the series. EarthMix are in the entertainment industry, if they make something that isn't successful, that has an impact on their potential future success. Many "core fans" and fans understand that and many don't. At the end of the day, I want EarthMix to be successful, I don't think that this project benefited their careers as much as many of their other projects. And I'm allowed to think/feel that way. But you're also allowed to think/feel whatever you want (we all are) and you and I don't have to agree.
You've watched a tiny fraction of series compared to the hundreds I've seen. So I'll share a tip that may improve your enjoyment of MDL. My opinion doesn't harm you in anyway.
Every week I come here and say that I'm sticking with this show because of my love for EarthMix. I have watched everything they've ever made and I've loved them since Waterboyy when I saw Earth for the first time (even though that show was not good). And each week I try to find one nice thing to say about this series and try not to dwell on the less enjoyable parts of the series.
This week, the only good thing I can say is that I'm truly glad it's over. I have no idea what crime EarthMix committed in a past life, but I REALLY think they deserve better. One silver lining is that not many people watched this so hopefully we can all move on from it quickly like a bad dream.
I'm not going to list all of the things I didn't like about the series because it would take too much time and some random person on here would call me a "hater". But I really hope GMMTV stops remaking Japanese series. Especially when the original is almost 10 years old. The humor does not translate and most GMMTV writers aren't able to improve the story. Again EarthMix, all the other actors and the viewers deserved soooooooo much better!!!
honestly it does kind of give that predatory vibe now that I think about it....
Seems like I dropped it at the right time. I have no desire to watch sexual assault or rape. Especially when I don't trust the writers to tell that story in a realistic way or in a way that's sensitive to the experience of the victim.
I've accepted that Oxin doesn't want to improve. And since it has an unlimited supply of "actors" who can be used up and thrown away when the series ends, I'm done with the Xion and the company.
The grandma funds their life from the look of things and she's likely trying to secure a future heir to her business…
I'm sure they'll explain more of the family relationship as the series progresses, but what they showed so far wasn't appealing for me. I know he negotiated it down to 3 months, but thst doesn't change the fact that the grandmother originally wanted it to be 6 months. Which would have interfered with his college. Thanks for clarifying about him only applying for the scholarship, I missed that part.
I couldn't help but be reminded of 1000 Stars. I thought the scenes with the Hem character were the most interesting and Nammon always does a great job so I'm looking forward to more from him. But Fifa's family dynamic was so head scratching that it took me out. Why do his parents not support him? Why do they let his grandmother run his and their lives? Why does she own their house? Why did she think making him go to the farm for 6 months was acceptable? Wouldn't college have started before the 6 months were up? Why isn't she happy for her grandson who got a full ride to great college????? I have way too many questions and don't think the writer will answer most of them.
I'm sticking with this for the location and Nammon, but we're not off to a great start!
I feel like Lego- as the only potentially actually gay character/androgynous person- was relegated to shipping…
I completely agree. IMO Lego was wasted. He has the potential to be an amazing talent but the writers gave him nothing to do. I get that a cast of amateurs is limited, but as you alluded to, I expected more from Est. I've seen him act better in other roles.
I also finished this without wanting to throw my laptop, which is rare for me with GMMTV series in the last few years. So I think overall it's watchable, but I'm not sure all the hype is justified.
I thought this was going to be an inappropriate teacher/student story. But it turned out to be a sorta inappropriate master/slave story. It was watchable though. If you go in with low expectations, this fills the time on a lazy weekend when you have nothing else to watch.
Even though I didn't expect it to happen, I'm so glad Mo actually apologized. He was wrong and it's rare to see a character who behaves like that, admit fault in a BL. That's only positive thing I can think of about this episode, so I'll stop typing.
