wow those last eps from 20-24 really did a 180.. we went from rom com to straight sad/depressing scenes! I was crying my eyes out along with Gao Haiming! I really loved this series and I wish they could’ve given us a little more background as to how GH got to LH’s time and a proper reunion between the two but I guess with this being transmigration, they couldn’t do it. one of the worst things about this type of show. other than that, it was a solid watch.
if you’re okay with a non HE then go for it. there was so much build up for a redemption arc and a HE and then at very end, the writer blew the whole thing up 💀
I know I’m probably speaking too soon but I really feel like episode 11 was such a change in the flow of the series so far?
The morse code in the album for the password, conveniently recording everything on the phone, the ex gf accidentally killing the best friend, her leaving her fingerprints on the ground and on the 🔪, the 180 the prosecutor did.
And what feels like a stall in the relationship between the leads (no progression or talk about how they both feel for each other, especially Se Na), then that ending and time jump for the episode threw me for a loop… are they together or not?
Has Se Na started working on her father’s case? and if so, she’s doing it alone? La Ik appears to be back in the band and going on a world tour… surely he’d be there for Se Na during an emotional time like this the way she was for him?
Idk… I’m just kind of confused and I really hope all of this is answered in the last episode because I feel like we sped through so much and missed a lot!
IF the Prosecutor and his ass*** of a father both don't get their comeuppance by the end of this show I'm gonna…
yes to all of this but from the preview it looks like Se Na may try to guilt trip the prosecutor… maybe there’s hope for him but def all for punishing the father for what he did to hers!
Am i the only one who thinks it's weird how professional sena is? Because this is her idol we're talking about…
I think she’s pretty adept at compartmentalising. You see in the early episodes how she goes into work completely professional and focused, and then when she gets home, she is completely a fan girl and does her own little thing. Even though she’s now representing her idol, she has to get him off a murder charge and she’s in work mode. She also probably doesn’t trust herself to let go around him either… she hasn’t been free or happy since her parents died so she’s closed off too.
I’ve just finished the first episode and I’m trying to get a handle on the family dynamics. Shan Bao is the eldest daughter and protégé of the grandmother who rules the family/tea business? and the other sisters appear to all be jealous (bar one) of SB’s standing? So, do the men like the eldest son not have any standing/power in the family? Is it more of matriarchal set up?
I don’t understand why the ml is not pursuing the fl? Yes I get it how he wants to know the truth behind his…
He said to his uncle that he couldn’t pursue happiness right now due to wanting to clear his father’s name. He knows it will blow up and doesn’t want to involve Hu in it. I can understand where he’s coming from but if he opened up to her a bit more, she would understand and be by his side through it all but he doesn’t seem the type to burden others. he won’t be able to take it for much longer going by the trailers for the upcoming episodes.
I get why Yu is being hot and cold with Hu but damn… the girl deserves a break! I hope that his rejection doesn’t push her towards Mr. Pei (I don’t think it will). I think he needs a dose of reality; seeing his girl with someone else even if that’s not the case, let him realise what he’s losing for revenge!
I cannot wait for tomorrows episodes! the elevator scene and Yu’s incredulous look was hilarious!
I felt a pit in my stomach watching Zhao go through Wang’s phone; him telling the junior that he quit his job before his wife, all the little cute messages between them and then seeing them at the park… you could really feel Zhao’s devastation through the screen. I cannot wait for her to be happy and move on with Gong (hopefully).
This show equally depresses me and brings me joy and the laughs at the same time!
It’s taken me a few weeks to watch this as I have found at times that it can be quite heavy, but the character development and how they all deal with their grief in their own way has been so real and not at all sugar coated.
I will say that, imo, the father moved on a little too quickly for my liking… but at the same time, the wife was hard work and seemed to make the whole family suffer and didn’t want to get help, so I can’t be too put out in that regard.
Throwing her stuff away and bringing in the girlfriend with their couple shirts was really disrespectful and completely inconsiderate of his family… he should’ve kept it on the down low for a while before hard launching into a relationship… grief can make you do things you wouldn’t normally do.
I also understand where Daniel’s hurt comes from but the name calling and saying hurtful things in German to FL was completely uncalled for and I really hope this doesn’t become another obstacle in the way for FL & ML’s happiness either.
The brother is a bit of an idiot as well… I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think he has feelings for his friend and the fact that he slept with her fresh off a break up is worrying because he seems to have no issue using her for whatever he needs… I hope she can see past her feelings for him tbh… no point in pining over someone for years who treats you like a second choice.
I’m looking at spoilers here and it seems that in the end, Xiao Yao ends up in a loop reliving her pasts with Hong Ye. For me, this is not the ending I was expecting and I think I’m going to end it here at episode 35. for me, I think ending on ep 32 would have been a nice way to end it considering all XY & HY went through just to be together all these years. A looped ending is actually tragic to me.
