I always don't like this scriptwriter, especially in xianxia. The writing is super weak for plots that need to be earth shattering and love across lives. Demon Hunter Romance is fine, because it's a smaller world with smaller plot. But this one promised so much and didn't deliver (yet?)

I have this exact problem with A Moment But Forever, and Demon Hunters Romance. The plot is tepid and the major plots are always underwhelming. I feel it's writing problem, I really wanted to like those dramas and really wanted to watch Feud. It's always fine, but in xianxia you need the major earth shattering events , not fillers and chugging along with little payoff.

They're maternal cousins, since their moms are Dongfang Huaizhu & Dongfang Qinlan.
Its a bit confusing since Love in Pavilion is drama #2, but they are the generation before drama 1&3.
She gets saved by her future husband, and they have a son Dongfang Yuechu (ML in Red Moon Pact).
