For me I think it will be a happy ending. Why? Chihiro can side with Mitsui telling him that it's the truth and if Mitsui is not there she would've died. Chihiro can also tell that it was a self defense. She can also show her bruises, scars, and wounds to the officer so that it will be more proof. And then I hope He will be released and then they will have their new chapter of life where they are both happy.
