Welcome to the club. I too dropped this series at Ep10. The reason you are enjoying Autumn Ballad is because it's…
Tencent Video and WeTV are not the same thing. MTC has money invested by Tencent Video. BUT they're just a stake holder, the one leading charge of everything is Croton (the trash company that made MTC drama trashy in the end). Also let me reiterate, Tencent Video and WeTV are not the same thing. In China, there is only Tencent Video. Elsewhere in the world, Tencent Video does not exist. WeTV is the global image of "Tencent Video". Anything Tencent finds not suitable for global release (due to poor quality), they will not show on WeTV. BTW, even Tencent doesn't care about Chinese audience. They will release crap shows and good shows alike on Tencent Video, but the crap shows never get a chance to be shown on WeTV!!

Welcome to the club. I too dropped this series at Ep10. The reason you are enjoying Autumn Ballad is because it's made by Tencent, top entertainment company in China. Since you come from Japan, I will give you Japanese example. Tencent is like Sunrise Studio or Bones Studio. Every work they make is very high quality. Japan also makes lots of poor quality anime by other animation studios. Just think of Croton as "other entertainment studio." They don't care about quality. Most of everything they make is crap. You find FL boring because she's seen through the eyes of Croton producer/writer/director/etc...

BTW, the reason you don't find this drama on WeTV Japan because Tencent too embarrassed to show this kind of bad quality show on WeTV!!

In the anime, Yan Xi falls for Na Sheng for her compassionate and selfless quality, whereas in the drama, Na Sheng…
Croton is a trash company that should never have allowed to get their hands on this IP. They also got so many things (other works) wrong on so many levels. In Three Lives Three Worlds (aka Eternal Love) by Croton, you find Ye Hua resurrect from death and runs like a pussy to Bai Qian (boy runs to girl is just soooo wrong). In Ancient Love Poetry by Tencent you find Bai Jue resurrect from death and opens his arms, the girl is already there waiting for him then runs to him (opposite to what Croton did).

Twin Moons anime by Tencent circa 2016. I never knew Tencent did a Twin Moons anime series in 2016. Was blown away by the quality, even though its using primitive CGI from 2016. Seems they recycled a CGI male model. Crown Prince of Twin Cities (anime) is based on male character in Twin Moons. IMO Hollywood can take on the Twin Cities project. Its just a Lord of the Rings rip off. The one thats more suitable for a movie to compete with Hollywood would be Twin Moons. Anyone into MTC lore oughta check out Twin Moons anime. Can find on YT or bittorrent!

Production and acting was above average but the story couldn't captivate me. If there are two main leads which…
There is nothing wrong with MTC. It's a captivating work. But when u subject it to a third rate company like Croton to develop it into a drama series, u get this disaster thats only rated 3.9/10 on Douban. MTC the only Cdrama I never finished (stopped at Ep10) for it being poor quality production. Ive complained about lots of Cdramas but still managed to finish watching them!

Can't wait till Tencent's Three Body puts the NetFlix version to shame. Somebody ought to go after Hollywood's attempt at destroying MTC IP. The only Chinese company with such capability may be Tencent...

MTC by Croton - The Crap Version
MTC by Hollywood (I really think they gonna make those movies) - The Lame Version
MTC by Tencent (live action TBA?!?!) - The Good Version ?!?!

Dream cast for movie version:

Wu Jing as Su Mo (Wu Jing may be a superstar right now, but he ain't such a cool dude if he won't take on smaller projects like MTC, plus will help with box office)
Yang Chao Yue as Bai Ying (Zhao Wei is the only girl I thought was pretty in C-ent but she's like 40's now, Li Qin near hit, next beauty after Zhao Wei must be YCY)

HURRY TENCENT, go GET THEM!!!!Apparently, some studio in the West trying to do to this IP what they are doing…
As I've been saying multiple times, this IP is REDDDDD HOTTTTTTT for movie making. Any company (already) exposed to it and opt to skip the movie version made a really dumb move!

Wolf Warrior II is China's Terminator (I must rescue John Connor erm I mean Dr. Chen)
Battle at Lake Changjin is China's Avatar (Avatar is a war movie set on a distant planet)
MTC CAN BE China's The Matrix (it's got all the kool elements to pull of a Matrix clone Chinese style!!!!!)

Via Google translate:

"Twin Cities" is the first in the Cangyue fantasy novel "Mirror" series (currently a total of six books). Jupiter Ascends special effects producer Danny Bergeron and The Matrix executive producer Andrew Mason will be involved in the film's production. The filmmakers will use Western actors, plan to start filming of "Twin Cities" as soon as next year, and release it the following year, and intend to develop this novel series into an English-language series."

Com'on Tencent, you are releasing your own version of Three Body Problem (to compete with the NetFlix/Western version). You should do the same for MTC. Those lame projects from Hollywood need someone to teach them how to do things properly!!!

HURRY TENCENT, go GET THEM!!!!

Apparently, some studio in the West trying to do to this IP what they are doing to the Three Body Problem. They're gonna release in 2023 MTC starring Western actors. Here is the source:

https://movie.douban.com/subject/26389070/

I don't know if this is a "NetFlix" series or movie, but I know it ain't good. They're gonna destroy this IP like Disney destroyed live action Mulan. Tencent better act quick, develop and release a competing product!! Only have 1 year to do it because the one above is slated to screen in 2023!!

The Douban ratings finally came out: 3.9/10 (booooo!!!!!)(Don't believe? Here is the URL: https://www.douban.com/search?q=%E9%95%9C%C2%B7%E5%8F%8C%E5%9F%8E)I…
BTW, guys you see the animated version done by Tencent? It's very highly rated compared to the crap Croton churned out (scroll down on link in above post where anime got 7.x/10 and that is a proper Tencent production). Croton ruined a very interesting IP. Hope Tencent can make up for it by making a remake (live action) or perhaps a movie!

I suspect Croton paid/bribed Douban not to release the ratings until very much later. Ratings for ALP came out very soon but M:TC took weeks. There is foul play involved. Croton isn't as honest a company as Tencent!

Anyways, remember ALP? Started off 4.x/10 then slowly climbed up to 5.x/10. M:TC most of the episodes already aired, be lucky if it broke high 4.x/10.

M:TC the first drama I ever like dropped dropped after Ep10 for it being crap quality drama. And at least I watched ALP and SSS to the very end last episode!

First 10 minutes of The Autumn Ballad way better than all the 10 episodes of M:TC I've watched so far. My day is made! Croton gives China such a poor international image. Conjures up impression of shoddy workmanship... I'm not normally into Ballad type of work/genre but I need something to wash away the bad taste in my mouth left from 10 excruciating episodes of M:TC.

It's not a Tencent drama. Tencent too embarassed to show it on WeTV.

Lol, I tried to resume episode 11 after 2 week hiatus. I still cannot take how crappy the drama is. It's subpar crap designed to milk money from TV channels. I'm disappointed Tencent let the IP slipped thru their hands. They're the only company capable of doing justice to this work of art, not this crap made by Croton!!

Tencent has posted hundred low quality dramas on wetv over the years. Stop talking nonsense. This drama is better…
Tencent Video is China entity. WeTV is international version. All the crap shows that got aired on Tencent Video never made it to WeTV.

I don't know about that...Crappy Chinese dramas already exist on WeTV. It makes no difference if they add one…
Name a crappy show on WeTV shown recently. I dare you to say You Are My Glory, Douluo Continent, ALP, SSS are crappy TV shows because the visuals and story telling rival a lot of shows coming out of America!

M:TC rivals shiet coming out of America. Even mundane shows like Supergirl beats M:TC hands down.

You just proved my point. WeTv for international audience Tencent Video for China audience. Tencent Video doesn't care about ppl who watched Western Tv shows held to much higher quality standards

Guys, I will answer your questions why M:TC does not appear on WeTV:

The way to think of it is that if a drama releases in China, it only has to compete with other (potentially) crappy mainland dramas. But if it gets released on WeTV, which is the international branch of Tencent, it then has to compete with Western dramas too! No way something like M:TC, with crappy CGI, crappy editing, crappy filmography, crappy screenplay is competitive with any TV show from the West!

Yeah I know you find M:TC with ENG subs on other ENG-based websites like Viki Youtube, etc. But those sites don't have an international image/reputation to maintain. Tencent does!
