Honestly, it should have been Yang Yang as Han Li followed by Wang Duo as Wang Chan instead of Nangong Wan on the cast list. Wang Chan was totally in love with Han Li, you cant tell me otherwise. And he (Wang Chan) was so comical, I loved that, And his smileeeee, don't even get me started, I can geek on his smile for dayssss.
This was so good, I just thought it was a breathe of fresh air that the ml unlike most mls' would put the world and it burden on his shoulder. This was different and it was a bit of culture shock to me, he knew how to pick his battle, he always took his time to gauge the situation before diving head first into the fight.
Its official, I'm adding Bi Wenjun to my list of male harem. He is so gorgeous (I knew that) maybe because he played a brooding character or because he is a tortured ML, but his gorgeousness really hit me this time
There is a saying where I come from that 20 kids can't play together for 20 years. I understand this is fictional but I am glad I get to see what it looks like, they really held each other down. On a different note, it would seem that I am into these kinds of dramas e.g. our Babylon, go ahead, youth memories, etc. just dramas where we see them grow from childhood into adulthood. This was done really well. I also love that they didn't shy way from exploring sensitive topics like the trauma he went through growing up and how it just felt like he finally discovered freewill. Finally, I said I was going to treat this movie like they reincarnated from Princess Royal into modern times.
I really enjoyed watching this. However, I feel like it missed a great opportunity to be a revenge plot. Or maybe not, but the beginning of the show def gave the vibe. Tbh, I am just thirsty for a new revenge drama, you know, "The double" grade. Another thing is I feel like some of the investigations ran a bit longer than necessary like they could have solved the crime 15 mins ago. But all in all, it was a solid watch. NEXT!
Why did the emperor not have the guts to face his older brother? He is the king and he could have easily told him to go back to his fief and have guards monitor his every move, and or keep his daughter (the county princess) as a hostage in the capital.
So I feel like the major reason people found it hard to connect to season 2 is because of the break. Take Lost you forever as an example, personally, I loved the the first season but ngl, I struggled with the second season. I just don't think we are used to and or we appreciate taking only one season of a drama and splitting it in two. It reduces "morale". Of course, I understand this is the only way most of the long anticipated drama can air these days. But a warning will be nice. I believe season one already started airing before we found out about the split. If I knew that was the case, I would have waited to binge the whole thing like I'd normally do.
I just finished this and I don't know, feels a little underwhelming, I don't think the ending was rushed though. But I just kept skipping from episode, what? 35? till I saw "The End"
So let me get this straight, how is the trilogy connected? When I started watching this up till the middle, I thought that this one should have come first before the red moon pact. However, at the end of of Love in pavilion, it has occurred to me that this is rightly placed in the second part. But then, I still don’t understand how they are connected. The characters in all three of them that makes sense but chronologically, it doesn’t I don’t get it.
I wish I can watch TPR for the first time.
